The stock, which has been particularly volatile since it went public this summer, saw a sharp drop in price from $39.76 to $32.92 between 2:10 and 2:55 pm EST on Election Day.
The company, which operates Truth Social, saw its share price slightly rebound not long after sales were halted. Experts have said the stock will likely remain erratic throughout Election Day as the company’s relevance is largely reliant on Trump’s personal successes as the most prominent figure on Truth Social.
Trump’s company, which uses the ticker symbol DJT and is based out of Florida, suffered its largest percentage decline last week, taking off around $4 billion from its market cap, reported Yahoo! Finance.

The Buddha, seeing a Brahmin cutting down trees on the banks of the Aciravatī River and preparing a field for sowing, spoke to him.
He spoke to the Brahmin again on several other occasions whenever he saw the farmer engaged in various operations in the field.
Very uplifted by the Buddha's courtesy, the Brahmin resolved to invite him to accept a meal when the field was finally ready for harvest.

If a mortal desires sensual pleasure
And that sense desire succeeds,
One may become elated,

But for a person in throes of pleasure,

If such pleasures go away,
It hurts like an arrow’s strike.
One who, being mindful,
Avoids sensual pleasures
Like side-stepping a snake’s head,
Transcends being stuck to the world.
There are many objects of sense:
fields, lands, and gold, cattle and horses,
slaves and servants, women and relatives.
When one lusts over these,
The weak overpower one
And by adversities is one crushed.
Suffering follows one
Like water in a leaky boat.

Ṭhānissaro has “invades.” But this is a stock line, and it’s hard to read anveti as anything other than “follows.” Niddesa (Mnd 1:70.2) has anveti anugacchati anvāyikaṁ hoti. The metaphor is not that water “enters” a boat, but that a leaky boat already contains water and takes it along (like a shadow that always follows or an ox-cart following behind, as in the opening verses of the Dhammapada). That is why it has to be bailed out in the next verse.)
That is why a person, ever mindful,
Wisely avoids sensual pleasures.
Give them up and cross this flood,
As a bailed-out boat reaches the further shore.

Scientists had previously plotted a ‘path of totality’ that identified the key cities and towns that were expected to see the Moon [or Rahu] directly covering the Sun on Monday. However, John Irwin, an amateur astronomer, recently released an updated version of the map charting the eclipse’s 115-mile journey, from East to West across the USA.
[Surely, the map shows the shadow of the solar eclipse moving from West (Texas) to East (New York), which should be impossible given that we are told the Earth is constantly revolving from West to East (giving the illusion that the sun is rising in the East) so that an eclipse shadow could only ever move in one direction]. And his calculations show that its original path could be altered by about 2,000 feet (609m). More

- Is the width of the zone of totality 113 miles? That would mean the object casting the shadow is a 113 miles wide, depending on how close our Sun is. The width was 72 miles in 2017. Test it. Take a ball or disk and put a flashlight behind it. If you put the flashlight close, it distorts the shadow of the object and makes the shadow bigger. But no matter how close you bring the light, it can never make the shadow any less wide than the object casting the shadow. It's just a fact of light, the way things stay the same size in a mirror even if we get closer or step back. (Hold a phone, draw a square around it with a marker on the surface of the mirror, and back up. You may feel you are getting smaller, but the phone stays the same size to fit perfectly within the box). We are told our moon is how wide? It's certainly not a mere 72 miles or 113 miles wide. We are told it's much bigger (about as wide as Australia) and much farther away (239,000 miles) than it truly is. We are further told that our Sun is much bigger and 93 million miles away. Nonsense, that's demonstrable nonsense. Our eyes are not fooling us, as we have been told.
