Not all SoCal punk bands held up, but the Vandals sure have. Their line of classic singalong songs are a strange juxtaposition to all the capitalist holiday fluff and fanfare. Outside the club, in Disney Town, there's endless shopping, eating, and baby-raising; meanwhile, inside, there will be a festive pit, moshing, jumping around, yelling and screaming the lyrics, and see what insane thing the bassist gets up to. Our personal favorite Vandals' song is "Urban Struggle" (aka "I Want to Be a Cowboy"). It's like, what's the use of Halloween if one can't let loose?
