Beauty lied about seeing beheaded babies

Nicole Zedeck on CBN News, 10/10/23; Ashley Wells, Sheldon S. (eds., Wisdom Quarterly
She misspoke, got ahead of herself? Wanted to report what she was being told so imagined she saw it?

The title of this video is completely misleading because the reporter, Nicole Zedeck, CHANGED her story completely from first claiming to be an eyewitness pointing to dead babies to later making the excuse that she heard soldiers say.

Her new claim is that soldiers told her, and she's just repeating it, which is far different from I see beheaded babies right over there and pointing so that the camera would believe she was an eyewitness.

It was nothing she saw. There was nothing to see. BUT she said she "saw" it, even pointing so that the camera looked over as if the evidence were just right over there and not being shown, as if out of consideration for the sensitivity of viewers. There was no such evidence she could see.

Atrocity propaganda
There was no evidence presented at all, just some offhanded statements by militants (Israeli soldiers) engaged in a war their state sponsor declared on a political party and movement (Hamas).

"Slaves do not 'attack'; they 'revolt,'" it has been said. Hamas was encouraged and funded by Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who saw them as a political party he could control more easily than other factions in Gaza. They do not exist in the West Bank, the other concentration camp where Palestinians are kept, waiting for the day their "right of return" will be exercised.

It's international law. That does not matter to the State of Israel and its Jewish Zionist and secularist supporters because Ultra-Orthodox Jews oppose these Jewish moves and the fake "state" of Israel) advocates of which stole the land from Palestinian Arab Muslims.

If Jews want a homeland as a people without a land in search of a land without a people -- and the previously offered Jewish Autonomous Oblast given by Russia is not good enough

Now this reporter has a new story, about being told about atrocities she never witnessed. Had she reported claims -- even outright lies -- by soldiers, that would be fine. That's what journalism is today, particularly when a corporate reporter is satisfied with being a state stenographer, not questioning the stories s/he is told by government officials, spokespersons, and militant agents.

It seems a new crime is being committed when this interviewer never bothers to ask the war "journalist" why she changed her story or what the story was before her latest claim. In fact, he goes so far as to cover for her, egg her on in her new statements, never revisiting the recent past that differs from what she is now claiming.

Her word does not mean much if she lied, got caught, could not corroborate her claims, changed her story, pinning it on "some Israeli soldiers," AND then could not corroborate that claim either, as the IDF/Israeli military did not claim babies had been beheaded or that there was any evidence of that.

Now it's time to sweep all of this under the table, promote the journalist, maybe get her a job as the future Megyn Kelly with her own show somewhere, and let's hope nobody notices the change of stories.

This is, of course, an important additional example of lies and propaganda reported by the mainstream corporate media as "fact" when they align with the mainstream narrative but ignoring all other evidence until it is thoroughly looked into, long after it would have been useful to know as a suspicion.

False testimony: atrocity propaganda for Bush
The case of daughter of an official who was used by a public relations agency hired to promote the US war on Iraq by claiming that "terrorists" took babies from incubators and dashed their skulls on the floor as she witnessed them doing it firsthand -- all LIES and revealed as never having happened but rather only a script-reading exercise for the cameras, replete with fake emotional displays. She admits it didn't happen but was asked to say it by the PR firm for the sake of some ulterior purpose. Many people must not know that famous story, our attention spans and attention to history being what it is.
  • Nayirah al-Sabah's false testimony
  • No worry, Mr. Bush. I get my daughter to lie.
The Nayirah testimony was false testimony given before the United States Congressional Human Rights Caucus on Oct. 10, 1990, by a 15-year-old girl who was publicly identified at the time by her first name, Nayirah. The testimony was widely publicized and was cited numerous times by U.S. senators and Pres. George H. W. Bush in their rationale to support Kuwait in the Gulf War. In 1992, it was revealed that Nayirah's last name was Al-Ṣabaḥ (Arabic نيرة الصباح) because she was the daughter of Kuwaiti Ambassador to the U.S. Saud Al-Sabah. Furthermore, it was revealed that her testimony was entirely FALSE and organized as part of a PR campaign for Citizens for a Free Kuwait, which was run by the American public relations firm Hill & Knowlton for the Kuwaiti government. Following this, Nayirah al-Sabah's testimony has come to be regarded as a classic example of modern atrocity propaganda [1, 2].
Was that young woman imprisoned for her blood libel, for instigating crimes against humanity? No, she got away with it, just doing her father a favor by being the PR poster child to promote US war. Will this brave journalist in a war zone wearing a flak jacket and helmet be fired for lying and then changing her story and not being able to confirm either? Perhaps. Let's not hold our breath. She's more likely to be rewarded.

Reporter stands by [her new] story [hearsay] of Hamas massacring babies, reveals another horror
(CBN News) Oct. 13, 2023:  The TV reporter who "broke" the heartbreaking story this week about Israeli babies purportedly being beheaded -- claiming she could see them piled near her -- by the hands of Hamas "terrorists" is standing by her claim, after having changed it from firsthand witness of bodies to hearsay from biased soldiers -- reporting more hearsay about other unimaginable carnage.

Nicole Zedeck, a Western reporter with i24News who has been on the ground in Israel wearing a fancy helmet and flak jacket, told the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN Digital) she spoke with a man responsible for clearing the bodies of victims, and has hearsay to report by repeating a dreadful story she claims he told her.

"We're hearing more horror stories," she said. "He said he found a pregnant woman who was shot in the head, her stomach sliced open, the baby still attached [to] the umbilical cord."

Zedeck continued, "And the baby was stabbed with a knife." This story comes after the journalist delivered a now-viral report detailing the alleged slaughter of 40 babies and young kids in Kfar Azza, a kibbutz near the Gaza border.

Zedeck revealed during the now-viral news report that some soldiers told her some of the babies were decapitated, sending shockwaves throughout the international community. [In fact, she said she could see them there decapitated even though the Israeli military made no such claim to fact checkers.]

In a conversation with CBN Digital Friday, the reporter stood by her [hearsay] and detailed the complex and harrowing situations she's witnessed over the past week.

"As difficult as it is for [journalists] to see the aftermath of these scenes, there are families, and citizens, and residents, and soldiers that witnessed it firsthand — and witnessed it as it was happening," she said.

"I never thought I would be in this position [of being in trouble for exaggerating what I'm seeing when I'm just a stenographer for angry Israeli militants], where I'm reporting mere feet away from death, but I think it needs to be done and people need to see the images."

She recounted arriving in Kfar Azza just hours after Hamas' terror ended, as workers were still clearing bodies and assessing all that unfolded.

"As you're walking through these communities, you see destruction everywhere," Zedeck said. "[I] saw a stroller that was stained with blood, a crib overturned on its side taken outside of the door."

Watch the journalist share her experience on the ground and defend her coverage.

Me and Jack Kerouac: "Repo Man" (poem)

On the Road an all-American novel that made Beat poet Jack Kerouac a household name
Pin on Buddhist quotes by famous people like Jack Kerouac (pinterest.com)
.
"Repo Man"
Walked all the way down Telegraph
towards the Bay and the freeway
where I hitched a ride with Jim
driving a brand new Riviera
I had just read Kerouac’s magnum opus
and remembered a childhood event
the weekly pilgrimage to church
seven of us in a Ranch Wagon
running late checking the clocks
in gas stations racing by
passing Jim Child’s Brick on the boulevard
this 5-year-old never saw any children or bricks
until Dad explained it all about how words can have
multiple meanings and ambiguity between the lines
and that Jim Childs was owner of a car dealership

Jack Kerouac | Kerouac Society
but this Buick man was a friendly redneck from Texas
Jim Charron asking to be called JC as he grinned
the left side of his neck and face
and outboard arm sunburned red
for he was a repo man he explained
driving over this great land of ours
repossessing what was bought but not paid for
by frickin’ deadbeats
and he had just picked up this beauty in Berkeley
and I could ride with him all the way to LA
just had to pick up another repo in San Jose
but he’d hate to have to tow it
towing slowed him down
so would I like to drive it
I was pleased he could trust a college kid
so I said sure and an hour later we were
at a fancy white house with a picket fence
Sheriff’s deputy armed with writ and revolver
and a hotwire mechanic armed with a Slim-Jim
and before we knew it we were stealing
a nearly new car right out of a driveway
from a newly delinquent no longer legal owner
who’d gotten in over his head with too many girlfriends
and mortgages and bankruptcy and divorce proceedings
now way behind on payments

You never really own anything
They started it just as the deadbeat came running out
waving a rubber check with lipstick stains on his shirt
and red slap marks on his face under tears running down
but the deputy waved him off with the court order
Didn’t have to shove the .44 Magnum in his face
as Mike the mechanic burned rubber driving it
down the block and around the corner
where Jim said Get in and keep up
I drove just as fast flying down the highway
master of the road king of the universe
blasting our way south to LA
at the speed of sound and light
at the wheel of a black Cadillac
Jim called it a big ass land yacht
radio blasting Like a Rolling Stone
time to think time to feel time to breathe

time to be here now time to live or die to groove
so very beat — an 18-year-old freshman
cruising at 80 with Jack in the back
Dean riding shotgun
What was in that little white pill Jim gave me
Said it would help me stay awake
Hours later we passed far down the 101
near Santa Maria or San Luis Obispo
a wreck off the side of the road
two cars twisted together
bodies splattered all over the pavement’s grey
police cars and fire trucks and ambulances
swarming the site emergency
personnel working and as I was getting tired
I realized that could have been me
falling asleep at the wheel
drifting across the center line
smashing into oncoming traffic
and I still had lots of miles to go before I sleep
but I wanted to go on the road drive to New York
with the Dharma Bums and fly me to the moon
around the world in 80 ways across the universe
just wanted to make it home for Thanksgiving
We are all driving rentals on suspended licenses
trying to outrun the big repo guy in the sky

The Dharma Bums
A bhikkhu reborn on the road
Jack Kerouac’s classic novel about friendship, the search for meaning, and the allure of nature.  First published in 1958, a year after On the Road put the Beat Generation on the map, The Dharma Bums stands as one of Jack Kerouac's most powerful and influential novels. The story focuses on two ebullient young Americans -- mountaineer, poet, and Zen Buddhist Japhy Ryder, and Ray Smith, a zestful, innocent writer -- whose quest for Truth leads them on a heroic odyssey, from marathon parties and poetry jam sessions in San Francisco's Bohemia to solitude and mountain climbing in the High Sierras. Racist police shot in the face (video)

ABC 7 News; Bryan Suits; Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Why do LA civilians hate LA police?
Excessive force is now commonplace among Los Angeles Sheriff's Department deputies, as it has long been among the notorious LAPD troops, who act like an occupying force rather than civilian officers. Here five LASD deputies mount and beat frail Asian female reporter from KPCC FM (local NPR)/LAist.com Josie Huang. Bryan Suits points out the obvious that our paramilitary police force purposely fails to mention -- that this is a child doing the shooting, so short he has to look up to the passenger window and runs like a London urchin in short pants.

KPCC/LAist News Correspondent Josie Huang, a thin Asian females, taken down by heavily armed LA County Sheriff's Dept. troops, 9/12/20 (ABC7 via Twitter user @TheChalkOutline).

Here are reasons from a cop
Police instead go tactical bringing out military weapons, their CAPO (Crimes Against Police Officers) unit, massive overtime for the force creating a dragnet to fruitlessly search all of Compton, Los Angeles to say they did something in response. Meanwhile, 911 calls for help are not being attended to, and the whole city is led to think a potentially Black gun-man is out on the loose justifying any police shootings for the next few weeks. Officers can simply say, "We thought it might be the shooter and can't take any chances after this 'ambush'!"

My year inside Trump's crazy White House

Michael Wolff, 1/4/18; Seth Auberon,  Pfc. Sandoval, Crystal Q. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

"You can’t make this sh*t up": My year inside Trump's insane White House
"Ballcap Semiotics" (jensorensen.com)
Author and columnist Michael Wolff was given extraordinary access to the Trump administration and now details the feuds, the fights, and the alarming chaos he witnessed while reporting what turned into a book.

I interviewed Donald Trump for The Hollywood Reporter in June 2016, and he seemed to have liked — or not disliked — the piece I wrote. "Great cover!" his press assistant, Hope Hicks, emailed me after it came out. (It was a picture of a belligerent Trump in mirrored sunglasses).

A book? What the hell for? Go ahead.
After the election, I proposed to Trump that I come to the White House and report an inside story for later publication — journalistically, as a fly on the wall — which he seemed to misconstrue as a request for a job.

No, I said. I'd like to just watch and write a book. "A book?" he responded, losing interest. "I hear a lot of people want to write books," he added, clearly not understanding why anybody would. "Do you know Ed Klein?" — author of several virulently anti-Hillary books. "Great guy. I think he should write a book about me." But sure, Trump seemed to say, knock yourself out.
I didn't say these things I said, he says I said!
Since the new White House was often uncertain about what the president meant or did not mean in any given utterance, his non-disapproval became a kind of passport for me to hang around.

I would check in each week at the Hay-Adams hotel, make appointments with various senior staffers who put my name in the "system," and then wander across the street to the White House and plunk myself down, day after day, on a West Wing couch. More

Smokey the Bear: "It's climate change, you idiot!" (Hall/SHBD)

One way or the other, I'm building my wall, even if I have to take Lady Liberty out.
.
This is real. I may glue it on, but it's real.
Editor’s Note: Author and Hollywood Reporter columnist Michael Wolff’s book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House (Henry Holt & Co.), is a detailed account of the 45th president’s election and first year in office based on extensive access to the White House and more than 200 interviews with Trump and senior staff over a period of 18 months. Trump attacked before publication. Wolff has written this extracted column about his time in the White House based on the reporting included in Fire and Fury.

LA Radio: Bean leaving KROQ (video)

HollywoodReporter.com; Seth Auberon, Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly
(Eddie Vedder) Gene "Bean" Baxter has long been phoning it in from Seattle.

It took 30 years but The Kevin & Bean Show is finally falling apart with the firing of Lisa May, the dumping of comic Ralph Garman, and now the departure of Bean. The biggest dagger in the corpse of the show has been the addition of show-killer Ally Mac Kay, but no one tell her that. The show has enough problems without her.

(FOX 11) Funnyman Ralph Garman explains his forced exit

Gene "Bean" and wife Donna Baxter
Baxter, who has hosted the show alongside Kevin Ryder since it launched in 1989, made the surprise announcement this (Wednesday) morning at 7:00 am.

[Autistic or on the spectrum] Gene "Bean" Baxter is leaving KROQ's morning show Kevin & Bean after 30 years.

He tweeted the news, explaining his decision to depart: "Just announced on the @KevinAndBean Show, after 30 years I am leaving the show at the end of the year to move back home to England, the ninth largest island in the world. Much more to come on this."
On the air he noted that he is a British citizen, having been born there, and visits England quite often given he has [alleged] friends and family there. He said he's been mulling this decision over with his Latina wife, fashion designer Donna Baxter, for years, and decided it was the right time to make the move.

(KROQ) More talent has come out of this show -- from Jimmy Kimmel to Adam Corolla to Mike Catherwood -- than seems to go in. Kevin & Bean are the least famous.

He added that Luke Perry's death Monday at age 52 [youthful compared to crotchety ol' Bean, estimated to be in his 60s or 70s, who may look worse for donating his kidney] from a massive stroke was a wake-up call.

"It's another reminder that tomorrow is not guaranteed for anybody, and we have been talking about moving to Europe for years," he said. "But at what point are we going to do it? It can't always be a spot on the horizon. When you're young and healthy enough to enjoy it, you can't put off things that you've been looking forward to in life forever."

Baxter indicated that he'll be looking for a radio gig in the U.K., adding that he believes "the odds are stacked against me because of my age and my dumb American accent." He added that he felt that "30 years makes sense to me." More

Weekend Edition Sunday, May 17, 2009 · The golden rule of journalism decrees that reporters take nothing on faith, back up every story with hard evidence, and question everything.

NPR's religion correspondent Barbara Bradley Hagerty kept that rule in mind when she decided to explore the science of spirituality. She was searching for answers to the questions: Is spiritual experience real or a delusion? What happens when we pray? And does consciousness depend on the brain, or can it operate when the brain doesn't.

Weekend Edition Sunday host Liane Hansen talks with Hagerty about her research and what she discovered while writing her new book, Fingerprints of God.
