On September 10, 2001 Sec'y of Defense Donald Rumsfeld announced that $2.3 trillion could not be accounted for within Department of War Defense (DOD) expenditures.

The very next day on 9/11, Building 7 of the World Trade Center in NYC collapsed at free fall speed despite receiving next to no damage. This was the very same day DOD staffers were working on tracking the mystery of the missing trillions, but the Pentagon’s budget analyst’s office was destroyed in the attack. This day in 2001 is known as 9/11 in American history.
