The Illest Optimist's trip to Sedona, Arizona would not be complete without a soul-searching visit to the Amitabha Stupa. There were lots of epiphanies. Story: At the age of 24, Ashley Ann Strommen became bedridden, suffering from inexplicable neurological problems, excruciating pain, debilitating fatigue, and an all-encompassing nausea. After years of sickness and months of testing, she was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease. Since her diagnosis, she has dedicated her life to helping individuals seek their highest form of health. She believes that sharing her personal struggles with this disease will give the illness a much needed voice.
