Caving in a Leprechaun Forest: Epic Ireland
It's a green isle divided by the UK |
We didn't know we would have to pay six Euros per person to park at the main lot. We spent about 15 minutes at the cliffs to get photos, and then we drove to Doolin to meet Micheal. He led us out into the countryside to a remote forest. We geared up and followed him in.
The hike put us in deep mud where everything was covered in moss that made it very beautiful. It seemed like an enchanted forest, where leprechauns and fairies would be happy to live.
Micheal led us underground into the cave, where we had an amazing time spelunking through them, seeing formations and working as a team.
After crawling out, we were handed the challenge of finding the way back without guidance.
We were lost for a while, trying to find the way we came in.
It was an amazingly adventurous day. I highly recommend it to anyone, even those who have never done anything like it. This was the case for a couple in our group doing extreme activities like this for the first time.
They succeeded with the team behind them, and they had an awesome time.
Thank you, Epic Ireland, for partnering with us to take this adventure.
