They made the divisions, not us. But we through the Gregorian Calendar have ignored Earth's unfailing timekeeper, Luna (Chandra, Soma). Its regular phases used to guide all of humanity who had only to look up.

Someone or some group wants us disconnected from our Earth, the seasons, the phases, the divisions, the sabbath days (known as the uposatha days in Buddhism). We should have stuck with the lunar calendar, but the solar calendar has been made to dominate, just as males dominate females now. The rest of the world also falls back on a lunar-solar calendar. So "time" is all juju fruited now.

Leading our 9-to-5 lifestyles, so far from the farm and the Way of the Almanac, time is a confusing thing. All that matters is the weekend, so the best day of the week is Friday. And Freyja needs to be honored, fearfully for the few times Friday and 13 fall on the same day.
