Irish rap group Kneecap (who played Coachella in 2025 and is being banned from playing Glastonbury) has sparked global controversy with their pro-Palestinian statements, leading to cancelled shows, sponsor withdrawals, and a UK police investigation.
Is Glastonbury for artists or gov't censors?
Critics point to past [pro-Palestinian] chants and lyrics, while the band insists it is all artistic expression and irony, not incitement.

March 18, 2025: Protestors from both sides of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, replete with war crimes like ethnic cleansing and extrajudicial killings, are clashing outside of Jewish actress Gal "The New Wonder Woman" Gadot's Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood.
This story first aired on the KTLA 5 News at 1:00 pm on March 18, 2025.
Naked Bike Ride 2024 was covered by Allison Barr for The Oregonian/OregonLive. Even though the official ride was put on hold this year, a spin-off of theWorld Naked Bike Ride pedaled through Portland on Saturday afternoon.
The ride organizers emphasize that it’s first and foremost a protest against fossil fuel dependency.
Second, it’s a communal place to celebrate being ourselves, exactly how we are.
The “official” World Naked Bike Ride took a hiatus this year. But protesting cyclists still wanted to gather for a ride.
As one of the speakers before Saturday’s ride explained: It’s an effort to bring their qualms with Zenith Energy into the limelight. They also want to inspire others to commute via bike and celebrate body positivity.
Saturday afternoon, hundreds of bodies gathered at Colonel Summers Park in Southeast Portland around 4:00 pm. This was a change from the ride’s usual nighttime slot.
After people painted each other, danced to music blasting from multiple speakers, and delivered emotional speeches into microphones, a sea of naked and nearly-naked people on bikes headed out.
Their plan is to lie down at the Zenith Energy building in Northwest Portland for ten minutes before ending the ride at the waterfront.
As the ride organizer going by the name Spartacus said, “Give yourself permission to know it’s your body. And feel a sense of belonging to your life and your body because your body chooses clean air, clean water, clean rivers.” Source

Wisdom Quarterly's new [honorary] Lebanese correspondent Mia Khalifa: Make love not war
Yeah, yeah, yeah, get it out of your system.
What?! That's crazy. Of course Israel is guilty and to blame for its state-sponsored terrorism, imperial Zionist war crimes, atrocities, crimes against humanity, and textbook genocide, which has a very exact definition.
What we mean is that maybe it isn't Israel and its revolting hypocrisy, calling itself "the most moral army in the world" because it throws a bomb on the roof 57 seconds before it throws it in the window of a civilian family's home to behead and maim the children inside and exterminate whole families living in overcrowded conditions, or its CIA-groomed Chicagoan Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, because it might be the USA (CIA, NSA, NSC, US Department of War, Pentagon, White House) directing them, funding them, prompting them, and backing them.
Lebanese War Correspondent Mia K. is skeptical
But Israel is committing war crimes, right? Yes, of course. To say Israel is not to "blame" is not to say war crimes are not being committed or that they are not being committed by Jewish Zionist war criminals. It is only to point out that just as one would not blame, for example, a Mafioso, an Italian thug, for killing, maiming, threatening, and other horrors without pointing to the boss who sent him, the Godfather. Who is the Godfather here scheming with Israel, AIPAC, worldwide Zionists? It is the CIA, Pentagon, and U.S. War Machine. It's been going on for so long, with other aiders and abettors like the UK and EU and other "client states," that Israel would try to go on even if we pulled out. But could they succeed with our for-profit military-industrial complex arming, diplomatically covering, and planning attacks, not to mention sending in U.S. ships, spy planes, secret technologies, DARPA weapons, and countless billions to promote American imperialism and the setting up of military bases and networks. What is the U.S. endgame? Ask the CIA or Scott Ritter or a whistleblower.
It would explain why we as the peace movement and antiwar protesters are able to make no headway in bringing about peace by pointing out war criminal Netanyahu's actions, poking holes in Zionist Israeli propaganda, psyops, and blatant lies anyone should be able to see through.
Some will not accept this suggestion because there really are bloodthirsty Zionist Jews out to build an empire by carving out all the nearby countries -- Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and of course Mandatory Palestine.
Do non-Jewish people (Gentiles and the hated "Arabs") know that the nonstate of Israel expanded its settler colonial project (territory) by stealing land from neighboring countries? What we call beloved Gaza -- formerly the largest open-air prison in the world, now a crime scene -- was Egypt. In the 1967 "Six Day War," Israel just stole it, like Putin's Russia just deciding Ukraine belongs to the Soviet Union (USSR) and we're what's left of that union so what's yours is mine and what's mine is none of your business; ergo, the US State Department can put out a new map of the world ASAP.
Why this is not such a crazy idea. What group, if any, is driving the USA? Does a group exercise undue influence on the White House (Jared, Doug, Monica, Laura, Henry, and too many staffers to mention), on the State Department, on the Pentagon, on Washington DC, on the press, on Hollywood, on Wall Street, on the university system, on the public imagination? Has one group arisen to decide -- or at least pretend to decide because maybe it's being used as the proxy, the scapegoat, the avantgarde, the frontline face of a spearhead into the geopolitical Middle East.
There are a lot of good Jewish people who are not Zionists, not American and European imperialists, who oppose genocide, who do not defend biblical nonsense that says, in essence, "God is our real estate agent." But many more are silent. And worst of all, there's a sizable segment that speaks for the whole. Some people defend Israel no matter what it does. Some lie for it no matter how egregious the lies.
Judaism is not Zionism, many agree.
It isn't little Israel acting on its own. That's clear. Many governments are aiding and abetting it, to ensure their steady supply of arms from Israel and American arms dealers. Some can't afford to be without them in times that are artificially kept unsteady and unpredictable by the US of A with enemies everywhere.
Today Japan shot at a Russian jet that it says crossed over the line into its airspace. Will Russia retaliate? Scandinavian countries want to join NATO for fear Russian may have to expand to oppose the forces being aligned against it, as evidenced by the US Proxy-War on Russia in Ukraine.
Well, 2 standards are probably better than 1
Today a show on KPFK (Health & Wellness Mix, 90.7 FM Los Angeles, 1:00-2:00 pm, Sept. 23, 2024) had such clarity on the real movers and shakers for war: It's us in the sense of US (the United States). Israel is an arm of our hegemony.
A group is willing to fight "Arabs" (Middle Easterners), so we're only to happy to provide the guns, targets, PR, diplomatic cover in the UN, illegal weapons (cluster bombs), covert support (CIA, NSA, etc. black budget projects), Congress-approved bombs and official-budget allocations, dual-citizenship fighters (US citizen-Israeli in a foreign army with allegiance to a foreign power)
Jewish Israeli students studying at Tel Aviv University in Israel held a peaceful demonstration -- just as is happening in the U.S. -- AGAINST Israel's genocidal war on Gaza and Palestine on Tuesday (May 28, 2024).
In leaflets distributed by them, the Jewish demonstrators wrote that "at 12:00-1:00 p.m. we will hold a school strike and protest on the lawn against the ongoing extermination and massacre of the Palestinian people in Gaza."
During the peaceful demonstration, Jewish citizens opposed to the protest arrived, including Eli Albag, the father of Liri Elbag, the IDF militant lookout who is still being held hostage by Hamas, and Kobi Samrano, the father of the late Yonatan Samrano who was allegedly murdered [or sacrificed by the Jewish IDF in line with its adherence to its Hannibal Doctrine of killing Jews to prevent them from becoming hostages they will have to negotiate for later] in captivity and whose body is thought to be in Gaza.
A confrontation developed between Albag against the protesters. The confrontation began when one of the peaceful demonstrators allegedly told Albag: "You have nothing to do here. Get out of here. Move."
In response to this, Albag, who was wearing a shirt with a picture of his daughter Liri on it, did not remain silent. He waved it and said: "They kidnapped my daughter. Don't bother me. You have no God! They took my daughter."
[Incredible how sensitive Israeli Jewish students are to plight of murdered Palestinians]
"Unbelievable how detached they are," blasted Albag. In an interview with Maariv, Albag spoke about the development of his clash with Jewish students:
"Jewish and Arab students protested against the 'killing' of the Palestinians in Gaza.
Jews for ceasefire now! Regime change in Israel
"As a father whose daughter was kidnapped, I was interested to hear what they had to say. I stood by them quietly and did not open my mouth, but within seconds one of the students came, attacked me [with words I didn't like], and said to me, 'Who are you? You have nothing to do here. Get out of here.'" [Might that have had something to do with the tee-shirt I was wearing?] More

During the continuation of student protests across the United States of America, students are waking up and demanding a ceasefire, an end to apartheid, Zionist-imperialism, and Israeli genocide, ethnic cleansing, and atrocities against a largely unarmed population being met with Nazi-style force and bottomless U.S. war funding.
Students will not be deterred even when met with overwhelming violence and force, demanding obedience to armed authority. Free Palestine! Ceasefire in Gaza now! The New York Police Department (NYPD) ended up going wild on the protesters with impunity.
Nazi tactics on German students
German police break up pro-Palestinian protest at FU Berlin
(Haber Lütfen) May 7, 2024: While US police learn directly from Nazi handbooks (and neo-Nazi members), it seems they can now show their German counterparts how things are done. Students who dared to gather at the campus of the Free University of Berlin (FU Berlin) in the German capital of Berlin to protest against Israel's genocidal attacks on Gaza were detained after violent interventions by German police. Given Germany's history with Jews, how dare Christian student oppose the Israel settler colonial project that intends to send Jews out of Europe and into the Middle East to run an imperial state friendly towards the West (US, UK, EU, and others who buy Israeli weapons like India, et. al.)
From tasing, to shoving, to baton swings, the deployment of secret weapons, and worse (i.e., extrajudicial beatings), Status Coup videojournalist Jon Farina captured NYPD assaulting protesters.

LIVE: Students continue pro-Palestinian protests at UCLA | REUTERS
(Reuters) Started streaming 8:30 pm, May 1, 2024: University of California students in Los Angeles continue pro-Palestinian protests at UCLA, the area's premiere public university with the smartest students in the southern part of the state.
WHAT DO THESE STUDENTS WANT? It is very easy. The demands are clear: DIVEST from funding or doing business with criminal rogue state Israel. Boycott its money-making endeavors. Sanction Netanyahu and his fellow war criminals inside and outside Israel. It's basic BDS. It may not be possible for the UC system or UCLA in particular to stop Israel or the criminal elements in it known as the IDF and the Mossad.
Bruins are Athenians for a free society.
However, it is absolutely possible and necessary for UCLA to break ties with Israel and stop investing in it, no matter how much war profits it loses in the process. We pay tuition, and we do not want a single penny of it to go to the killing, maiming, and continued oppressing of Gaza, the West Bank, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestinian refugees languishing in "temporary" refugee camps all around the region, camps created and patrolled by Israel.
Police escalate UCLA campus protests.
Students are calling on the Biden administration, the Pentagon, and the entire American war machine (all its covert apparatuses secretly sending missiles behind everyone's back as Congress argues about how much money for the genocide to send to Israel and how many billions to give to Ukraine to fight our proxy-war against Russia) to pull out of supporting these crimes against humanity in the most well-documented genocide of all time. Why should students, why should any protester trust the mainstream corporate media, which constantly cheerleads any war it gets wind of, to report accurately? There is NO reason to talk to the media. There is every reason to keep the encampment closed until the University understands what is being demanded by the people going deep into debt to finance its operations.
UCLA peaceful protests: Police in riot gear yearning for violent show of force
(FOX 11 Los Angeles) Streamed live May 1, 2024: Police (LAPD, FBI, Sheriff's Dept, Culver City PD, Beverly Hills PD, Santa Monica PD, DPS campus security in a force of an estimated 600-800) of heavily armed and trained paramilitary troopers and undercover operatives to face off with 1,000 unarmed, peaceful students staging a sit in) at UCLA have used yesterday's attacks by Jewish outside agitators (probably LAPD agent provocateurs as their pretext) declared the pro-Palestinian encampment on campus is an unlawful gathering, and everyone has been ordered to leave.
Police have become violent and moved in to attack students, by attempting to startle them into stampeding, risking life and limb. But students held their ground. Now they are sitting down, chanting: "Peaceful protest! Peaceful protest! Peaceful protest!" Police have brought in at least ten buses to load up students like cattle and take them to a prison camp (or holding tank, county jail, or FEMA project).
There are thousands of onlookers, possible reinforcements for the encampment, from which they are being kept. Police are keeping them at bay. There is a massive law enforcement presence standing by at the campus, suggesting that a possible move to dismantle the encampment is imminent. More: foxla.com/news/ucla-pro-p...
Resist tyranny! Stop war! Free Palestine! Divest!
In a city of ten million, one thousand brave students, many of them teens, dare to stand up to police oppression to help the victims of Jewish-Zionist-Israel's war crimes and genocide.
Does the state not understand that? Do the administrators not understand? Do the average citizens of LA not understand? There is one group that does understand.
And that is the professors, who have come out to protect the students and if need be be brutalized and arrested with them. In solidarity with all that's good (peace, Palestine's rights, divestment from war profiteering, a need for a third party or a second one against our one-party-with-two-wings system), opposing all that's wrong (Israel, pro-IDF Jews and sympathizers, the US military funded by both corrupt Democrats and corrupt Republicans). It makes perfect sense if one listens to the words of Mario Savio or Rage Against the Machine lyrics.
"There's a time when the operation of The Machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart that you can't take part, you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears, and the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it that, unless you're free, The Machine will be prevented from operating at all!"
- Mario Savio, Student Free Speech Movement Berkeley in the Sixties
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
From the sea to the river, Palestine will live forever!
UC, UC, you can't hide
We charge you with genocide!
Free, free Palestine
Free, free, free Palestine!
Viva, viva Palestina
Viva, viva Palestina!
Hey hey, ho ho, the occupation has got to go
Hey hey, ho ho, Netanyahu has got to go!
Intifada, Intifada
Long live Intifada!
These are just a few of the social justice chants on the lips of children and young adults standing up against genocide, against the American war machine and the war profiteers that support it: the university, the UC Board of Regents, the bankers and funders of Israel, the CIA, the Pentagon, the NSA, NSC, DHS, FBI, Meta Google, Facebook, Apple, and other covert and infiltrated spying agencies.
