The Gospel of Philip Explained (and why Rabbi Jesus kisses [his wife] Mary Magdalene)
(ReligionForBreakfast) Dec. 5, 2025: Was [Rabbi] Jesus secretly kissing Mary Magdalene [and married to her, too, as most Jews would agree]? This video dives into the Gospel of Philip, its infamous “kiss” passage, Valentinian theology, and how baptism, anointing [khristos], and the “bridal chamber” were meant to turn Christians into [awakened] Christs ["Anointed Ones," not blind followers groveling for salvation].

Many liberal Jews as well as very Orthodox Jews OPPOSE Zionism, war crimes, and the abuse of Judaism as an instrument of war occupying, oppressing, ethnically cleansing, and genocidally exterminating another people, the Arabs/Palestinian people, particularly but not limited to the Muslim ones.

Jesus [the Nazarene] had a wife: The evidence!
A rabbi's wife but no children?
(Simcha's Sessions) Nov. 19, 2025: Was Jesus a lifelong celibate, or was he a typical 1st century rabbi with a wife?
The conventional image is that of an unmarried savior (messianic figure), but a close look at the Gospels and the customs of the time suggests the truth is far more provocative.
In this session, Simcha Jacobovici sets aside tradition to investigate the pure historical and textual evidence.
What was uncovered:
The Rabbi's Requirement: In 1st century Judaism, it would have been highly unusual [some would say impossible] for a man of Jesus's status (a rabbi) to be unmarried.
The Problem of Paul: The tradition of Jesus's celibacy likely originates with Paul (Saul), who was vehemently against marriage and sexuality, yet Paul himself never claims Jesus was unmarried.
The Intimate Anointing (rubbing with oil): The shocking scene in the Gospels where a woman washes, kisses, and dries Jesus's naked feet with her hair—an act considered [sexually erotic] "nakedness" (ervah) in Jewish law. This highly intimate act would only be permissible for a wife.
A holy couple in ancient Palestine?
Mary Magdalene and the Cross: Mary Magdalene's constant presence and emotional acts (e.g., anointing Jesus's body after his death) point toward the role of an intimate family member, specifically a wife.
The Gnostic Evidence: The excluded Gnostic Gospels, such as the Gospel of Philip, explicitly state Jesus and Mary Magdalene were constant companions and were known to kiss on the lips.
The historical, social, and textual evidence strongly suggests the man known as Jesus was indeed married.
Jewish tradition links Yom Kippur to Moses as stated in the Torah. But some scholars try to say it emerged later, around the 5th–4th century BCE as a priestly innovation, with its scapegoat ritual symbolically transferring Jewish people's impurity to innocent animals that are slaughtered or sent into exile.
How to atone for the sins of a people
We've sin so very much. High Priest, kill a scapegoat.
Yom Kippur (Hebrew יוֹם כִּפּוּר, Yōm Kippūr, lit. "Day of Atonement" for sins) is the holiest Jewish day of the year in Judaism [3][4][5] [with Black Magic, blood-soaked Voodoo practices].
It occurs annually on the 10th of Tishrei [6] corresponding to a date in late September or early October. Rooted in the Torah's commandments, in antiquity it centered on the High Priest's Temple service and has since tried to evolve into a day of real atonement and repentance, reflection, confession, making amends, and seeking forgiveness from both God and others.
Forgive us our genocide and ethnic cleansing.
The day's main observances consist of full fasting and abstaining from physical comforts, attending extended prayer services (usually at synagogue) and reciting confessional prayers. Some modern Jewish denominations, such as Reconstructionist Judaism, focus less on sins and emphasize personal reflection, goal-setting, and intentions for the year ahead.
Along with Rosh Hashanah (the "head of the year"), it forms the High Holy Days, concluding the Ten Days of Repentance by sealing the judgment begun on Rosh Hashanah and highlighting teshuva (repentance), unity, and closeness to the tribal God.
Distinctive practices include five prayer services, the Kol Nidre and Avodah liturgies, and wearing white to symbolize purity.
In Israel, public life largely comes to a halt, while globally it is observed by both religious and secular Jews.
Beyond religious contexts, it carries cultural significance, with public figures honoring the day, and in 2016 it was officially recognized as a United Nations holiday. More: Yom Kippur

High Priest, sacrifice those animals for us!
Shalom. We are coming upon the “apex” of 10 Days of Awe, as we commemorate YOM KIPPUR this Wednesday evening Oct. 1, 2025, at 6:30 pm. We will be meeting at 16800 W. 9th Ave. Golden, 80401. This is a solemn Appointed Time, as we corporately confess our sins, break vows, and proclaim that Yeshua is our perfect and final atonement for us individually and as a community. ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE! We will read from the Scriptures, worship, and recite ancient prayers as we joyously celebrate the Lamb, blood sacrificed for us! Following the service, we will enter into the biblically mandated fast in obedience of the command to humble ourselves. More: Chag Sameach-Yom Kippur Kol Nidre — Or Chaim Congregation
Zionism is a criminal project and is not Judaism. Neturei Karta (NK USA) is the voice of masses of Orthodox Jews who follow TRADITIONAL Judaism in its opposition to the political (often secular) philosophy of "Zionism," the existence of the State of Israel, opposes the Zionist occupation of Palestine and condemns Israel's atrocities committed to and by many of its people. There are many Jews who oppose Zionism and Israel.
How Larry Charles went from selling jokes on the street to writing for Seinfeld
Larry David and Larry Charles
(Fresh Air, WHYY, June 17, 2025) In his new memoir, Comedy Samurai, Larry Charles reflects on his career in comedy — from writing for Seinfeld to directing Sacha Baron Cohen's films Borat and Brüno — and a recent near-death experience.
This is FRESH AIR. I'm Terry Gross. My guest, Larry Charles, has been an integral part of TV shows and films that both reflected and made an impact on American popular culture.
He was a writer on Seinfeld, showrunner on Mad About You, a writer and executive producer on HBO's Entourage and a director and executive producer on Curb Your Enthusiasm. He directed Sacha Baron Cohen's films Borat and Bruno. He also collaborated with Bob Dylan on the film Masked and Anonymous.
Expert interviewer Terry Gross (NPR)
From Peabody, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award-winning writer and director Larry Charles comes a rollicking journey through modern American comedy. He shares behind-the-scenes stories from his life's work. To tell his life story is to tell the story of modern American comedy. Over the last 40 years, few comedians have been a part of so many iconic, beloved projects. He was one of the original writers and producers on Seinfeld, directed over 20 episodes each of Curb Your Enthusiasm...
Larry David developed "Cosmo Kramer"
Larry Charles has a new memoir called Comedy Samurai: Forty Years of Blood, Guts, and Laughter. When he says blood and guts, he means it. He and Sacha Baron Cohen took enormous risks with their films, in which Baron Cohen took his characters Borat and Bruno into the real world and shot scenes with people who thought Borat and Bruno were real people.
To expose antisemitism, racism, and homophobia, Baron Cohen's fictional characters pushed his targets to reveal their darker feelings and beliefs, and it sometimes ended in near violence, with Baron Cohen, Larry Charles and the crew fleeing.

Larry Charles also did a documentary series called Larry Charles' Dangerous World of Comedy, where he went to dangerous places run by authoritarian rulers or were controlled by militias to see what comedy was like there. Larry Charles, welcome back to FRESH AIR.

LARRY CHARLES: Thank you. It's great to be here again. Thank you so much.
HOST TERRY GROSS: So the book starts with you having a heart attack and thinking...
CHARLES: *Laughter*
GROSS: This might be the end. Did facing the prospect of death make you rethink parts of your life and lead you to think you should rewrite parts of the book?
Woody Allen as Death
CHARLES: Well, I think it gave me a little more perspective on my own mortality. I have been obsessed with death since I'm a kid. But the reality of death and the obsession with death are two very different things.
And so I think I wanted to go back and be a little more honest and take a little bit more responsibility for my behavior. And I did add that layer to the book after all this happened.
GROSS: Yeah, because there's part of the book where you write you realized you were the agent of your own misfortune.
CHARLES: Very much so, yes.
GROSS: And that happened after...
CHARLES: And I had some bad agents, believe me. But I was...

Angry, angry Mark Levin, Super Jew
Jew on Jew violence: Uber Jewish conservative Mark Levin, who's on TV (Fox) on Sundays and on AM hate radio (Salem Network) most of the rest of the time, was pouring the invective on fellow Jew Jon Stewart, whom he calls "Jon Liebowitz." Levine says Jon's lying for laughs, that he knows better than to say such things about MAGA Fuhrer Trump. He did it while playing clips of this episode on his afternoon drive show on 3/26/24, while bragging that he (Levine) has better ratings than Bill Maher but that the mainstream media won't report it, not even the radio trade magazines.
