"I've 'been' with my father" - Ivanka Trump

Vice News (on the "Cult of Trump" and his brood except for Baron); Eds., Wisdom Quarterly
"I've been with my father," confesses Jewish-convert Ivanka Trump, it seems in the biblical sense of filial Judeo-Christian incest? What a strange thing to declare to the nation, but it's a strange family.
.
And they shall call me "Father" and bow, for I am that I am unto them as a God. They shall bow before me and, verily, bow in my bedroom in the case of Ivanka. And the nation shall rise to their feet for me and raise a straightened arm to hail me, their law-and-order Leader, and wear the red hat of allegiance and open-carry firearms to fight among themselves as we MAGA-A.

This prop has it all. Don't even need to read it. Just hold it and they'll vote for me.

Hurricane Laura thrashes Louisiana (video)

ABC News; Reuters; AP.org/mail.com, 8/28/20; Sheldon S., Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Bigger than Katrina, Laura thrashes Louisiana, as nearby states face tornado threats
Who cares? I'm trying to beat Blue and Black.
LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana — One of the strongest hurricanes ever to strike the U.S., "Laura" barreled across Louisiana on Thursday, shearing off roofs and killing at least six people while carving a destructive path hundreds of miles inland.

A full assessment of the damage wrought by the Category 4 system will likely take days, and the threat of additional damage looms as new tornado warnings were issued after dark in Arkansas and Mississippi even as the storm weakened into a tropical depression.

But despite a trail of demolished buildings, entire neighborhoods left in ruins, and almost 900,000 homes and businesses without power, a sense of relief prevailed that Laura was not the annihilating menace forecasters had feared.

“It is clear that we did not sustain and suffer the absolute, catastrophic damage that we thought was likely," Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards said. “But we have sustained a tremendous amount of damage."

He called Laura the most powerful hurricane to strike Louisiana, meaning it surpassed even Katrina, which was a Category 3 storm when it hit in 2005. The storm toppled trees and damaged structures as far north as central Arkansas.

Laura’s top wind speed of 150 mph (241 kph) put it among the strongest systems on record in the U.S. Not until 11 hours after landfall did Laura finally lose hurricane status as it plowed north and thrashed Arkansas… More + PHOTOS

American dark humor (Family Guy)

Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, Fox); Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly Wiki
WARNING: Trigger warning. Ugh,sensitive subject matter, delicate issues, taboo topics! Vulgar, gross!
.
Who's that on the beach? Is it Death!
Black comedy is also known as morbid humor, dark comedy, black humor, dark humor, or gallows humor.

It is a style of comedy that makes light of grave subject matter that is generally considered taboo, particularly serious subjects that are normally considered painful to discuss.

Implicit humor is for adults. Kids don't notice.
Writers and comedians often use it as a tool for exploring vulgar issues by provoking discomfort, serious thought, and amusement for their audience.

So, in fiction, for example, the term "black comedy" can also refer to a genre in which dark humor is a core component. Popular themes of the genre include death, violence, discrimination, disease, and human sexuality.

Senior citizens are sex-starved perverts.
Black comedy differs from both "blue comedy" — which focuses more on crude topics such as nudity, sex, flatulence, and bodily fluids — and from straightforward obscenity.

An archetypal example of black comedy in the form of self-mutilation appears in the 1759 English novel by Laurence Sterne Tristram Shandy.

Tristram, 5-years-old at the time, starts to urinate out of an open window for lack of a chamber pot. The sash falls and circumcises him. [Window pain?] His family reacts with both hysteria and philosophical acceptance. More

Out of place artifacts in the USA (video)

Inforado, August 7, 2020; Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

12 most uncomfortable and controversial finds in American history
Not everything historians and archeologists discover pleases them. Sometimes they come across out of place artifacts or other pieces of evidence that challenge their current understanding of ancient history, not always in a good way. For better or worse those new facts have to be accepted as they are, even if they change the way we think about our own past. Let's look at the most controversial discoveries in American history.

Navajos want say over their justice matters

Associated Press (AP via mail.com, 8/28/20); Xochitl, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Why isn't this map of Native American nations in the history books of the USA?
Jonathan Nez addresses crowd after being sworn in as president of the Navajo Nation in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Nez has asked Trump to commute death sentence of tribe member Lezmond Mitchell to life, citing the tribe's longstanding opposition to the death penalty in a 7/31/20 letter.

Navajo Nation wants more say over criminal justice matters
US history of stealing children: ethnic cleansing
FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Shortly after the only Native American man on federal death row was deprived of breath, his tribe blasted the federal government and accused it of violating the spirit of a law that allows tribes to decide whether to subject their citizens to the death penalty, which gets called capital punishment to soften what it is.

Rest
Restoring stolen sovereignty
Indigenous History of USA
(Aug. 28, 2020) Lezmond Mitchell, 38, was executed Wednesday [Aug. 26] at a federal prison in Indiana where he was imprisoned.

The Navajo Nation had asked Pres. Trump to reduce Mitchell's sentence to life in prison. As the state execution neared, Trump took no action, and White courts declined to intervene.

The Navajo Nation said the situation highlights the need to restore tribes' ability to determine criminal justice matters on tribal lands, especially when it concerns Native victims and Native perpetrators.

Jurisdiction now falls to a mix of agencies, including a tribe, that respond depending on the exact location of the crime and who is involved.

Justice? Killing is not part of our belief system.
“We’re all realizing right now, it’s not enough to try and fix this little piece of the patchwork of justice in Indian Country,” said Navajo Nation Council Delegate Carl Slater.

“What we need to do is restore that authority and reaffirm it because it’s every nation’s sovereign right to handle these matters internally.” More

Natives only get negative national coverage
Comfort foods from fed staples
Ever notice that Native Americans, when covered, are only covered for annoying and negative reasons? It's no accident. It's editorial policy. What about the good news? Who cares. We are all led to believe there is no good news. There are no climate saving activities, there are no peaceful gatherings of tribes (powwows), there are no indigenous spiritual activities, there is no return to native ways overcoming the theft of children, language, cultural practices, prophecies, or delicious foods. These things exist, but the federal government is still on an eradication campaign, coming at native from all sides. Know that there is much positive that's ignored.

Lessons from the Past. New directions for the Future
Who else will stand up for our environment?
There is an even worse pipeline than the one that causes filthy environmental damage with every inevitable spill polluting the land. It's the school-to-prison pipeline Kamala Harris and other built their careers on. Policies that are "harsh on kids," using the comforting and misleading euphemism "tough on crime," have turned schools into punishment camps to criminalize brown and black children. Get them young. Get them used to heavy policing. Get them in court. Get them ready for incarceration. It has to stop. More

Gawdammit, I'm the dictator of law and order!
UPDATE: Houston’s Democratic mayor moved to block the Republican Party (the GOP or "Grand Old Party") of Texas from holding a massive indoor [Covid] convention in his city on Wednesday, citing an exploding number of coronavirus cases in the city.

Texas is posting record-high numbers of coronavirus cases, but that isn’t stopping Republicans from planning a massive indoor convention in the state’s hardest-hit city.

We wish we were invited after being loyal to Donald, and we want pardons for our crimes.
.
The Republican Party of Texas is just a week away from gathering at least 5,000 people for its state convention in Houston, even though the city’s Democratic mayor is begging them to reconsider.

The state’s GOP leaders insist they can handle the health hazards — and that the risks are worth taking.

How did that go? Did I fool Republicans?
“New viruses are going to come, and life has to continue. We can’t live in a world where there’s never again a live, in-person concert or convention or gathering of people to peaceably assemble and address their grievances with the government.

"That would be anti-American, and I am proud and pleased to be part of a group trying to make sure that dystopian future never becomes a reality,” Republican Party of Texas Chairman Jimmy Dickey told VICE News Wednesday morning. More

Repub. Guilfoyle and Dem. Gavin Newsom
Did brassy Guilfoyle go GOP to screw Newsom?
California Governor Gavin Newsom declined to speak ill of ex-wife Kimberly Guilfoyle after she called out the state [of California] for its handling of current drug and homelessness crises during her Republican National Convention address.

Gov. Newsom, a Democrat who was married to the former Fox News host from 2001 to 2006, was taking questions from reporters Wednesday when he was asked:

Is it wrong to call Kellyanne Conway hideous?
“I’m curious if you are watching the RNC, and if you had a response to your ex-wife who said in prime time...that California is ‘a land of discarded heroin needles in parks, riots in streets, and blackouts in homes.'”

How about calling her hypocrite and simpleton?
The California governor acknowledged that his lack of an answer “may leave you wanting,” but still declined to address his ex’s comments on the state of his state.

“Let me just extend appreciation for your effort to get my response, and I respectfully defer to the next question,” politician Newsom said before moving to another reporter. More

Outing bad Kenosha cop Rusten Sheskey

Lee Brown (New York Post, Aug. 26, 2020); Sheldon S., Ashley Well (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

BLM activist Shaun King threatens to name innocent cops as Jacob Blake shooter
Accused fraudster Shaun King is threatening to name innocent cops as Jacob Blake’s shooter if the Kenosha Police Department doesn’t release the identity of the officer who did, [according to allegedly biased reporter].

“If you do not name the officer who brutally shot Jacob Blake on Sunday, we will simply begin naming officers from your department who may or may not be him,” the pro-police-reform Black Lives Matter activist threatened online.

“F–k it. Your protection of his identity is unethical. What’s his name?” King wrote in a message “to the Kenosha Police Department” that he pinned to the top of his Twitter thread.

The Brooklyn-based King later tweeted the names of two Kenosha officers.

In one case, he named an officer, saying “people thought he shot Jacob Blake.” In the other, he asked followers to compare photos of a named officer and an unnamed cop on the scene of the shooting.

“POLICE COULD END THIS RIGHT NOW. They are deliberately protecting the man who shot Jacob. What’s his name?” he wrote. More

Vigilante calls on social media before deadly Kenosha attack
Whites with rifles, Kenosha protest 8/25/20 (AP)
Repeated calls for armed vigilantes to travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin, to "protect" capitalist businesses spread across social media following the police shooting of Jacob Blake by cowardly Officer Rusten Sheskey.

Calls went out hours before 17-year-old racist Kyle Rittenhouse shot two people to death and wounded a third during a third night of uprising in the Wisconsin city.

(Aug. 27, 2020) Multiple threads on Facebook and Reddit have urged militias and other armed White people to head to the demonstrations, researchers at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Lab said in a blog post Wednesday.

The peaceful demonstrations broke out after Officer attempted to murder Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black man. Blake was left a paraplegic Sunday, when he was shot seven times in the back by officers answering a senseless "domestic dispute" call (between two females, which Blake was attempting to calm).

Now, two Black people were killed by gunfire Tuesday night. Accused murderer Kyle Rittenhouse, a White 17-year-old from nearby Antioch, Illinois, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide.

A video director for the conservative website The Daily Caller tweeted Wednesday that he had conducted a video interview with the vigilante and suspected gunman before the shooting and posted a clip in which the armed young man, standing in front of a boarded-up building, said: “Our job is to protect this [capitalist] business.”

“And part of my job is to also help people [by shooting and/or killing other people]," he said. "If there is somebody hurt, I’m running into harm’s way [to do some hurting]. That’s why I have my rifle -- because I can protect myself, obviously. But I also have my med kit.”

Patriots, get your guns! Sieg heil! Go, go, go! (Beast TV/InfoWars)
.
The Atlantic Council researchers said that before the attack some of the online discussions encouraged acts of violence, while the Alex Jones conspiracy website InfoWars amplified the call to arms, potentially encouraging more armed people to head to Kenosha.

In Wisconsin, people 18 and over can legally openly carry a gun without a permit.

Facebook confirmed Wednesday that it took down a page called Kenosha Guard for violating its policy against militia organizations.

The company said it also is in the process of removing other accounts and material tied to the shootings that violate its policies, such as for glorifying violence, and it is in contact with local and federal law enforcement on the matter. More

Cashing in on human suffering (comedy)

Blame? "It's not our fault. It's nature!"
What is the world coming to? Americans in North America keep making money because disaster capitalism is profitable, whatever the price. Our one-party system, the Money Rules Party, assures it. The Democrats have become as bad as the Republicans, so there's no actual opposition party. There is no protest party. There is no political organization to advocate for We The People or for us to support.

She's only pretending to sleep
We've been greenwashed. That is to say, we've been given the illusion of an alternative, like when we think we're recycling by buying corporate plastic when it shows a tree on the label. We're led to think we're saving the environment when we are ruining it by our purchase. Look it up. What does it mean to "fight the power" when Tweedle-dee is just like Tweedle-dumb? Think for yourself. Who else has there ever been to think for us?
