UC Berkeley police help nab kidnapper

BERKELEY, California — Two quick-thinking police employees at the University of California Berkeley campus described today how they set in motion Jaycee Lee Dugard's release after nearly two decades of captivity when they encountered her alleged captor on campus. Phillip Garrido, a white male who was distributing bizarre religious material with two girls, seemed incoherent and mentally unstable, Lisa Campbell said.
