Psychedelic magic mushroom medicine

The "first flower" on earth can heal humans?
(TNE with Louisa Nicola) The psychedelic (entheogen, psilocybin-containing "magic mushroom") is changing everything doctors know about our brain.

Psilocybin mushrooms [a] are a type of entheogenic, psychedelic, hallucinogenic mushroom and a polyphyletic informal group of fungi that contain the prodrug psilocybin.

Humans can grow this fungi?
Psilocybin is metabolized into the psychedelic compound psilocin following ingestion [2].

Rather than referring to one single mushroom species, the term "psilocybin mushroom" refers to a broad group of fungi found across several genera [3].

Other compounds such as baeocystin, norbaeocystin, aeruginascin, and β-carbolines may modulate effects.
The most potent species are members of genus Psilocybe, such as P. azurescens, P. semilanceata, and P. cyanescens, but psilocybin has also been isolated from approximately a dozen other genera, including Panaeolus (including Copelandia), Inocybe, Pluteus, Gymnopilus, and Pholiotina [2]. More
