Book: Teachings of Jesus Came from Buddha

New book on religion shows teachings of Jesus came from Buddha.
Los Angeles, CA, June 30, 2008 (PR.com)

A new book by Robert Korczynski, author of An Anti-Cancer Diet, presents well-documented evidence that a Jewish man was not the first person to speak the words of Jesus; all of the New Testament books of the Bible turn out to be sourced from the teachings of the Buddha.

Buddha’s Big Foot explores history, religion, linguistics, and numerology to conclude that all of Christianity is derived from the teachings of the Buddha. The hidden roots of Christianity -- and the roots of many other religions -- are woven together with Buddhism to reveal original meanings in the words of Jesus. Expanding on the revolutionary work done by the Danish linguist Christian Lindtner, Buddha’s Big Foot explores the teachings of the Buddha from the perspective of their impact on religions throughout time and their continued value in today’s world.

IMPONDERABLE INFLUENCE

It is interesting to note that among the four things Gotama Buddha declared "imponderable," the "range" or influence of a Buddha was foremost: "These four imponderables are not to be fathomed. If one were to ponder them, one would become deranged and experience vexation. What are the four?

"The range of a Buddha [i.e., the range of influence and power a buddha possesses as a result of the karma undertaken to become a buddha]...The range of one in jhana [i.e., the range of powers possible through the meditative-absorptions]...The results of karma...Fathoming [any first cause of] the universe is imponderable and should not be pondered. If one were to ponder any of these four, one would become deranged and experience vexation" (Acintita Sutra, AN 4.77).
