Nagas (reptilians in Bud-dhist, Hindu, and Jain lore) are seen and unseen beings capable of great cruelty and irrational violence. Even mentally ill persons would not likely be inclined to great violence were they not driven on by a yakkha (ogre), asura (titan), rakshasa (demon), or naga. WINNIPEG, Manitoba – A Canadian judge ruled [3/5/09] that a man accused of beheading and cannibalizing a fellow Greyhound bus passenger is not criminally responsible due to mental illness.
