Let's look at the ways doubt can be a hindrance to our progress along the path to enlightenment and liberation, as well as a steppingstone to advancement.
Consider that there are ways that doubt can be overcome, noting two key examples of this in the Early Buddhist texts.

Miyamoto Musashi (宮本 武蔵, circa 1583–1645) was a Japanese Samurai swordsman, strategist, artist (who drew Hotei Watching a Cockfight shown above), and writer who became renowned through stories of his unique double-bladed swordsmanship and undefeated record in 62 duels [3][a].
Musashi is considered a kensei ("sword saint") of Japan [4]. He was the founder of the Niten Ichi-ryū (Nito Ichi-ryū) style of swordsmanship, and in his final years authored The Book of Five Rings (五輪の書, Go Rin No Sho) and Dokkōdō (獨行道, The Path of Aloneness). More
This method comes from Japanese philosophy about life and works by reshaping the power of the subconscious mind, where resistance, excuses, and hesitation are born.

Some scholars like D.T. Suzuki see the term wu-nien (無念, "without thought," "without recollection," with nien possibly rendered as smṛti, "mindfulness," "memory") as being synonymous to wu-xin[2, 12].
Furthermore, while wunien is common in the texts of the Southern Schoolof Zen, the texts of the Northern School prefer the term "freedom from thought" or "freedom from conceptualization" (離念) [13].
NO-MIND: The term 無心 contains the Chinese character for negation, "not" or "without" (無), along with the character for heart-mind (心).
Likewise, in Sanskrit, the term is a compound of the prefix a- (negation) and the word citta (mind, thought, consciousness, heart).
In China, the term came to mean a state in which there is no mental activity, or a mind free of all discrimination and conceptualization, making it similar to the Buddhist Sanskrit term nisprapañca[9] and the Sanskrit term nirvikalpa [10].
Another similar Sanskrit term is amanasikāra ("non-thinking," "mental non-engagement"), which is found in the works of the 11th century tantric Yogi Maitripa [11].
Some scholars also offer other Sanskrit terms as being the source of the Chinese term wunien, including: a-cintya, a-vikalpa, or a-saṃjñā[2]. More
(Sky News Australia) Mean spirited right winger Rita Panahi mocks. Today on Lefties Losing It, Panahi assesses some of the biggest leftie meltdowns seen across the planet involving "outraged Karens," democracy denying hysterics, and athletes who just can't stand DJ Trump as the bumbling president keeps on winning now that he's gone all Muslim as a money-making mogul in oil-rich Saudi Arabia.
From the best-selling author of What's the Matter with Kansas comes a scathing look at the standard-bearers of liberal politics. It's a book that asks, What's the matter with Democrats?
It is a widespread belief among liberals that if only Democrats can continue to dominate national elections, if only those awful Republicans are beaten into submission, the country will be on the right course.
But this is to fundamentally misunderstand the modern Democratic Party. Drawing on years of research and first-hand reporting, Frank points out that the Democrats have done little to advance traditional liberal goals:
expanding opportunity,
fighting for social justice, and
ensuring that workers get a fair deal.
Just keep playing! We got the Dems on our side.
Indeed, they have scarcely dented the free-market consensus at all. This is not for lack of opportunity: Democrats have occupied the White House for 16 of the last 24 years, yet the decline of the middle class has only accelerated.
Wall Street gets its bailouts, wages keep falling [in real terms as the dollar is devalued by bad policies], and free-trade deals keep coming.
With his trademark sardonic wit and lacerating logic, Frank lays bare the essence of the Democratic Party's philosophy and how it has changed over the years. A form of corporate and cultural elitism has largely eclipsed the party's old working-class commitment, he finds.
For certain favored groups, this has meant prosperity. But for the nation as a whole, it is a one-way ticket into the abyss of inequality. In this critical election year, Frank recalls the Democrats to their historic goals -- the only way to reverse the ever-deepening rift between the rich and the poor in America. More(Audible)
(Zen Confidential) May 8, 2025: A Patron sent me an email that basically says, "I have a friend who just found Jesus, and she's driving me CRAZY!!"
Why is she driving him crazy? It's because my Patron's friend is convinced that there is ONLY ONE true religion, one way or path, and she thinks anyone who doesn't follow it -- that is, anyone who doesn't go "full Yazoo" -- is on AC/DC's Highway to Hell.
Is there ONLY ONE TRUE WAY? My Patron wants to know.
Yes, is my answer. There IS just one true way.
Darby Crash, frontman of the Germs and an early Hollywood Zen Buddhist, wrote "The Slave," which goes: "It starts in your head/ And moves to your hands/ Your body starts shakin'/ 'Cause you're in demand/ You do the slave to the beat/ Of the neuro-sutra can can// You're lashed 'twixt the stars/ With your ice and motor cars/ You do the slave to the beat/ Of the neuro-sutra can can// Oh yea, yea, pull out the Zen/ I've got a Buddhist principle in my hand/ Your life seems wasted/ Your bodies laced in/ Don't stop now, you've got to trace it/ You put your hands together/ Writhe in the shackle/ You twist your body round/ 'Til it starts to crackle/ You do the slave to the beat/ Of the neuro-sutra can can// Right here right now/ Shake it in and out now/ Lights on off now/ Make it spin and fight now"
Unfortunately, it's different for absolutely everyone!
Let's touch on a lot of the basics that make Zen [and other forms of Buddhism] different from "religions."
For one thing, in Zen there is nothing to "believe" in [except maybe Taoism]. There is a practice, and there are principles, and the practitioner puts those principles into practice. That's kind of it.
What is Catholicism? It's Universalism
The main practice is zazen ("sitting meditation"), often defined as shikantaza ("just sitting"). Through this practice, attention is cultivated. But even this is saying too much.
Speaking of not speaking, we could say that Zen is the practice of not filling silences. To wit, there is the Great Silence from which we all come and to which we all go. Religion kinda sorta sometimes puts a great big Jesus statue right in the center of that silence, or a great big Buddha statue right there in the middle of serene silence.
It tries to fill the void, the peace of silence, as if it could improve on it, gilding the lily, giving the snake legs, papering over the gaps and blanks, pretending that we can fill the not-knowing with some kind of knowing.
But in the end, the job of a spiritual practice is not to remove uncertainty. Rather, in my experience at least, a practice humbles us before that uncertainty. There's a big difference. Every time I think I finally found the One True Way, something changes -- me, the world around me, the situation, life -- and I have to change along with it, grow, go with the flow, and keep going, keep living, keep not knowing.
No fake certainty!

On March 15, 2025, a group of researchers revealed some wild news: Using a new type of radar imaging technology, they claimed to have discovered new “internal artificial structures” beneath Egypt's three Great Pyramids in Giza. These structures supposedly include eight cylinders surrounded by constructs resembling spiral staircases. Does their innovative radar imaging technology actually work? If so, are those "structures" real? Let's find out. Paper: mdpi.com/2072-4292/14/20/...

The mind is STUCK in an illusion. (It’s so simple to get out, you’ll laugh)
(Solace Fox) The mind is stuck in an illusion — and it doesn’t even realize it. Everything we perceive, think, and believe is shaped by something deeper.
The truth: the real "you" [if such a thing were actual, but all things being relative, imagine a higher-self and a lower-self (where egolessness is ultimate truth and "ego" is conventional truth, the latter being the Five Aggregates clung to as self) existing as we walk around as watcher and avatar, as if what we consciously sense is all there were to life, the universe, and everything] is hidden beneath layers of conditioning, thoughts, and false identifications and identities.

FBI director casts doubts on Trump being struck by bullet during assassination attempt
Trump was never struck, and the whole Maxi Pad has been a LIE? He is faking a big injury when nothing but a cut from jumping to the stage in fear or being dry humped dogpiled by the mostly Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) substitutes for the real Secret Service? Wow, what a fake.
(MSNBC) Rachel Maddow chews up Old Man
But he's wearing such a big bandage! Must be bad
Director Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee yesterday (Wednesday, July 24) about the ongoing investigation into the attempt on the former president’s life and the response of law enforcement agencies that day.
When questioned by committee chairman Jim Jordan as to whether the FBI had accounted for all of the bullets at the scene, Director Wray said that eight spent rounds were recovered from the rooftop of the building from which the gunman opened fire.
“With respect to former president Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” the FBI chief added.
“As I sit here right now, I don’t know whether that bullet… in addition to causing the grazing, could have landed somewhere else.”
He added: “But I believe we’ve accounted for all the shots in the cartridges.”
[Alleged lone wolf] gunman Thomas Crooks [allegedly] fired a volley of eight rounds towards Trump using an AR-15 rifle while the former president stood on stage speaking to rallygoers in Butler, Pennsylvania, killing one rallygoer and wounding two others.
Former White House physician Ronny Jackson has said that Trump was shot in the ear creating a 2cm-wide wound, according to a memo shared with Axios.
The former president has also repeatedly said that he was struck in the ear by a bullet. More + VIDEO

The undecorated war hero, who survived the Battle of Butler, where his right ear was nearly torn off his scalp, after which he has taken to wearing a Maxi Pad on his ear for sympathy, is golfing. Reports have it that he was on the golf course two days later. At his most recent outing to play golf, he neglected to wear his Maxi Pad, and he is seen on the right side with NO discernible injury to his ear, none at all. Not a scar, not a missing piece, not a scab, no blood, no disfigurement, no need for so much as a Band-Aid. So was it all staged after all? Did he and the FBI set it up to look like three assassins were in Pennsylvania to take him out -- one from an open window, one from a water tower, and one dead one from a nearby rooftop, who had no ability to hit a watermelon at 10 yards? Let's ask the fake media:
