Why is there a deep pit in the Great Pyramid's subterranean chamber?
(Ancient Architects) In the subterranean chamber of the Great Pyramid there is a deep vertical pit, cut into the floor. Today, this unexplained man-made cavity is largely filled in but it remains the focal point of the unfinished chamber.
In recent weeks, everyone may have seen this pit being mentioned more and more, and this is ever since the controversial Khafre SAR project reached the world’s media.
Of course, we now know why. It's because claims have been made that enormous cylinder-like features have been detected beneath the Khafre Pyramid, and they apparently extend down for hundreds of meters into the bedrock. There is even talk of a lost city beneath the Giza Plateau.
With that in mind, let's see why a deep pit and a vertical shaft in the basement of the Great Pyramid are getting attention. Some claim that this is the beginning of one of the so-called giant cylinders; others claim this is an entrance into a cave system or even the alleged "underground city." Tourists are not allowed. It’s cordoned off.
Authorities have filled it in, and now, together with the Khafre SAR data, this is all leading to what some are saying is a conspiracy.

Underground crime ring: Stolen cars in secret tunnels in LA County | FOX 11 LA
(FOX 11 Los Angeles) Whittier Narrows, Los Angeles County, near Montebello - Sept. 4, 2025: FOX 11's Matthew Seedorff received a tip suggesting that criminals are storing stolen cars inside remote runnels in Los Angeles County. Where do stolen cars disappear to with LoJack and all of the new built-in GPS tracking devices? So this is where stolen cars go before they hit the "chop shops" and are sold for parts or shipped out of the country at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro to be sold on the world market by crime syndicates. Meanwhile, the LAPD and LASD and CHP all have their fingers up their nose not knowing anything and being too afraid to enter the tunnels to chase after the car thieves and criminals.
A second city has been uncovered below Egypt's iconic pyramids of Giza, according to Italian archeologists who discovered the massive underground structure.
Located under the Mankaure Pyramid, this colossal find may be able to "prove" how the three Giza pyramids are connected through the potential existence of a massive subterranean complex buried 2,000 feet underground.
This remarkable discovery comes after the team previously found large underground structures below the Khafre Pyramid back in March 2025.
However, this latest research isn't without contention, as some archeologists and Egyptologists, such as [nationalist mouthpiece] Dr. Zahi Hawass, have said these findings, which have not yet been peer-reviewed or published in a scientific journal, are impossible due to a lack of sufficient technology as ground-penetrating radar isn't able to analyze the surface that is thousands of feet deep.

On the upper reaches of the Tigris River in Turkey are several archeological sites that predate Göbekli Tepe, including one that could be up to 13,000 years old.
This is Boncuklu Tarla ("Beaded Field"), where excavations have revealed 30 residential houses, six public structures, and the skeletons of 130 individuals. More than 100,000 beads and shaped raw copper have been unearthed (also found at nearby Gre Filla Höyük).
Much of this material is on display at Mardin Museum, which is investigated in this video. The square enclosures at the site are up to 30 feet wide and contain standing stones about five feet tall, some of the earliest megaliths on the planet.
Notably, one enclosure has a holed stone in its wall, just as is found at Karahan Tepe and Göbekli Tepe. Could this be evidence of very early astronomical observations?
Boncuklu Tarla, like many of the earliest sites in Turkey, was buried beneath a mound with finds that date from nearly 13,000 to 9,000 years old (Epipaleolithic period through to the Late pre-pottery Neolithic B).
