Money: gold, oil, stocks down, dollar up

Frank Mottek 7/5/22; Charlie Munger; Sheldon S., Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly

Pres. Biden and the Fed are doing this.

Southern Californians trust him, and Mottek on Money is listened to as a high return-on-investment activity to get if not smarter at least wealthier. Mottek On Money | KABC-AM

What's coming? WARNING

(FREENVESTING) Chucky Munger warns investors of what’s ahead for the markets -- trouble that could be worse and harder to fix than what was experienced during Volcker’s era, which ended up with a huge recession.

Hey, kids, rise up and overthrow the bank.
Being a vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and the closest partner (right hand man) of Warren "The Oracle of Omaha" Buffett, Charles T. Munger has a [known] net worth of around $2 billion. He is a profoundly wise businessman who is absolutely worth listening to, especially when it comes to investing, the psychology of wealthy people, financial rationality, and life experience.
  • [Do you think Warren Buffett would really let Munger talk or make a YouTube video if it weren't manipulating markets and opinions in Berkshire Hathaway's favor? Caveat emptor. Take with a grain of salt, noting that "grain" is an outdated unit of measure.]
WQ Money Man's outlook (opinion, July 5, 2022)
  • Gold is down, and long-term prospects are dismal due to Ugandan discovery
  • Silver is down, and short-term prospects are not looking bright as supply is plentiful
  • Oil (crude barrel) prices are down, and short-term prospects are down due to supply
  • Brent crude: Oil prices tumble below $100, may fall more
  • Crypto is down, and long-term prospects are dismal for the current players [but certain for block chain as a principle which will be utilized by current banks and governments like China making its own coin and enforcing it, as there's no way these players will lose control of currencies]
  • Rents are up, and short-term prospects are good that they will rise [because of the well-known maxim property is theft" and few are able to buy homes, home supplies are down, and financing is harder and harder to get]
  • Real estate is up, and long-term prospects are stable to rising
  • Greenbacks (US currency) took a surprising bump up [by manipulation of a powerful government, as nations like Sri Lanka are dying for this reserve currency before it ends its reign]
  • Military hardware looks strong and growing, as war profiteering continues to be stronger than health care and medical tech stocks
  • Pharmaceuticals are up with strong long-term prospects as fear grows over pandemics, monkey pox, and future planned scares
  • Stocks and bonds are down with short-term prospects shaky and unstable
  • Cars, new and used automobile prices are up surprisingly and expected to tumble before the end of the year, but this tumble is not certain, as there is no relief in sight even for used car availability
  • Financing (interest rates) is up as banks gouge everyone they can who needs to keep their head afloat in these uncertain times
  • Insurance prices going up as prices for cars and other insured items rise, even if risk is stable
  • Commodities, farm items, deathstock (slaughtered animals) and plants are down with prices in the short-term heading down

Trump tells truth why Bernie quit (video)

Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show, jimmydorecomedy.com); Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly

Quit this race for Joe! - Hi, guys. - Shut up, Liz.
Dishonest Dummy Trump tells truth about Bernie Sanders dropping out of the nomination race that Democrats won’t even admit to aloud. Now he will proceed to destroy "demented death rattle" Joey Biden, a credibly accused sexual predator. Establishment Democrats (in the DNC) want to lose and used Lizzie Warren to do it, knocking the Bern out of contention.

Bernie Sanders QUITS (video)

.
I knew he'd quit! I'm a demented sexual predator.
The mainstream media has just announced that Bernie Sanders QUIT. Again. Like the last time he led progressives to slaughter using Plan B, backing failed establishment candidate Hillary. Now is it time to get behind Joey Biden? Bernie Sanders needs a cabinet position, so he's ridin'. He'll do whatever the Party, not his party because he's an Independent, tells him. Way to obey and betray the people, B. Feel the Bern! The DNC's power shall not be questioned because, sadly, AOC's in the bag, too. It was announced at 11:45 AM (ET) as the "feckless" coward explained. Bernie wants your money, votes (to get more delegates), and says he'll go to the Democratic convention to try to have an influence.

(Q/T) See Bernie Sanders cower and grovel as he quits. All candidates have
"suspended" their campaigns when quitting, so do not cling to that as hope.
.
Why? Bernie’s tweets reveal FAILED leadership

More billionaires pledge fortunes to charity

To match feature BUFFETT/UKULELES-GIRLS/ Multi-billionaire investor, mogul, and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Warren Buffett eating ice cream (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) – More than 30 U.S. billionaires pledged on Wednesday to give away at least 50 percent of their wealth to charity as part of a campaign by investor Warren Buffett and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Among the billionaires joining the campaign are New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, entertainment executive Barry Diller, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, energy tycoon T. Boone Pickens, media mogul Ted Turner, David Rockefeller, and investor Ronald Perelman, according to "The Giving Pledge" website.

Gates and Buffett launched "The Giving Pledge" in June to convince hundreds of U.S. billionaires to give away most of their fortune during their lifetime or after their death and to publicly state their intention with a letter of explanation. The full list of billionaires and their letters can be seen at thegivingpledge.org. The Giving Pledge does not accept any money; it simply asks billionaires to make a moral commitment to give away their wealth to charity. More>>

News of the Day: The Perfection of Wisdom

"Form is emptiness, and the very emptiness is form...there is no form, no sensation, no perception, no formation, no consciousness; no eye, no ear, no tongue, no body, no mind..." -- Prajna Paramita, The Heart [of the Perfection of Wisdom] Sutra" (PDX Yogini). This portrait is a water color, ink, photograph art piece taken of stone Buddha statue outside of Great Vow Zen Monastery.

"Business Buddha" Buffett is 16th Best CEOs ever
No longer the "richest man in the world" (a title that now belongs to Mexican mogul Carlos Slim), Warren Buffett is ranked 16th on a new list of the 20 Best American CEOs of all time. (And he impersonates Axl Rose in a new TV commercial).

The ranking was compiled by Condé Nast's Portfolio in consultation with a panel of business-school professors. They were asked to "consider each CEO's record of creating or destroying value, innovation, and management skills or lack thereof." Kevin Maney and Liz Gunnison write in their overview that "Warren Buffett may not be much of an innovator, but he is a great philosopher -- the business Buddha. We think that counts." More>>

God takes back Oral

Ashley Wells (Wisdom Quarterly, 12/16/09)

Obama to investment guru Buffett: Hi cuz
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama, who won political support and has sought advice from investment guru Warren Buffett, may now feel even closer to the world's second richest man. According to their family trees the two men, who at times shared the stage together during the 2008 presidential campaign, are seventh cousins three times removed. Genealogists at ancestry.com announced that Obama and Buffett are related through a 17th century Frenchman named Mareen Duvall. More>>

(Wisdom Quarterly) It's been a tough month. The world saw Obama's true colors, camouflage green and gray, as he sent even more troops into an unpopular "war." (It's more "wholesale massacre" and carpet bombing, with space-age drones as the new twist to replace Vietnam-era agent orange). Some people believe [Annunaki] bloodlines are crucial to ruling the world.

Of course, it's all "crazy talk." But this is an ancient belief, particularly in Afghanistan and India, which says Reptilians (Nagas) are the true rulers of this world -- and they do it by proxy. So genes are important. Buddhist texts frequently mention "Dragon-Kings" (naga rajas), who are now thought of as mythological or semi-human hybrids. Good thing African-American Obama has no such genes...oh, wait a minute. He's related to Dick Cheney, and now we find he's also linked to one of the world's most prominent movers and shakers, Warren Buffett.

Obama's announcement that he would be escalating the war came ludicrously close to accepting his Nobel Peace Prize. But that he did both should not confuse anyone. Why? One of the world's worst killers is former US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger -- a good friend, personal confidante, and political advisor of Obama's.

Interestingly, and it's probably just a coincidence, Kissinger "won" the Nobel Peace Prize -- even as he was overseeing the escalation of the US war on Vietnam. (Again, not so much a "war" as a massacre, a carpet bombing escapade that secretly and illegally included adjacent countries; today it's Pakistan and Iran, but back then it was Laos and Cambodia. Because as we patrol the world, and Kissinger gets the long awaited NWO, we've got to keep everybody in line, and if that can be done covertly, all the better).

God (the working out of karma) is funny that way. "The true gods of this world are hybrids" (Reptilian-humans) according to anthropologist Michael J. Harner. But this is only information derived from mystical sources. It is not that it is true. Instead, it seems there are unseen being who regard themselves as the rulers here, then as now. The Buddha was frequently confronted by Nagas and Maras (spiritual "killers") who seemed convinced of their superiority relative to humans on Earth, when we humans (then as now) regard ourselves as supreme here.

Yet, clearly, someone is ruling us by proxy. It's only a nominally democratic planet. The Naga Kings continue to shape the agenda and move the world to the majority's disadvantage. If rulership is transdimensional, occupying (i.e., possessing) humans to rule when their actions are completely out of character, it makes more sense. How is Clinton, not our current secretary of state but our former president, to be understood for his odd behavior? But, of course, all this is crazy talk. No one does nothing, and all is just as it seems. "God [karma] works in mysterious ways." And so the world has lost Oral Roberts.

Televangelist Oral Roberts dies of pneumonia
Oral Roberts, the evangelist who went from tent revivals to life as a television preacher and healer, building a multimillion-dollar Christian ministry and Oral Roberts University, has died, aged 91.

Harassment across Arab world drives women inside(AP)

They don't like it in America or anywhere else either. It becomes a form of social control. Just as American soldiers are fond of raping (foreigners and, moreover, fellow US soldiers), civilians around the world oppress women in more subtle ways. The threat of sexual attack, the prospect of being bothered, the probability of being harassed, it all has a detrimental effect on women around the world.

How to rule India: Break India into more pieces to govern it efficiently? That's the plan as a new Indian state is carved out of others. Smaller states and more of them to control the second largest population in the world (at over 1.2 billion) seems to be the direction the home of Buddhism is moving in.

Ven. Sariputra on Power

(WQ) Power seems to derive from two principal sources -- wealth and a following (the charisma to inspire others to follow). One of the Buddha's chief male disciples, Ven. Sariputra, explained how one gained both by elucidating the deeds (karma) that result in money and influence. To put it succinctly: Those who gave in the past are, as a result, subsequently wealthy. (In the sutras this is frequently, but not exclusively, in a future life). Those who encourage others to give will in the future have a large following. Those who do both will have both; those who do neither will have neither.

(By the way, please give. Giving benefits both giver and receiver. Moreover, give understanding that karma ripens even if its results are not immediately apparent).

The famous scholar-monk Ven. Pa Auk Sayadaw explains that even criminals, bad business people without ethics, and thieves are themselves only successful in their enterprises because of GOOD karma in the past. (See The Workings of Kamma for full explanation).

What they do (their actions) with the profitable results ripening as a result of former deeds is their present karma (action, choice, intention). This conditions their present experience. But when these results are exhausted, the riches evaporate. Similarly, even shoddy business people and awkward entrepreneurs will have an easier time of it because of good karma, whereas excellent business plans and million dollar ideas may not succeed for those lacking a karmic basis for wealth.

Such is the mystery of karma, which does not concern itself with our interpretations of "right" and "wrong," "fair" and "unfair." It is quite impersonal and unbiased. Therefore, give. It benefits the giver (immediately and in the future) and others right away.

Whom to bestow gifts on for the greatest results? The Buddha explained that those with the greatest virtue (sila) make the greatest recipients. The results of actions done to them or for them, explains the Sayadaw, are the weightiest and most far reaching. It is notable that one's parents make excellent recipients for the giver -- even if they would only be ordinary recipients to someone else. Even a gift given to an unvirtuous beggar brings great results, because as a human being that person is still of a caliber not found in subordinate worlds. Therefore, it is wise to view everyone who asks out of need as one's "best friend" offering an excellent opportunity to gain substantial merit.

"The gift of the Dharma excells all gifts." The Sangha of monks and nuns are called an "incomparable field of merit for the world," which applies to the accomplished Noble Sangha as represented by ordinary monastics. To give to anyone (any being), however, bears profitable results for the giver making for one a store of merit useful in whatever one wishes. This applies to wishes for ordinary worldly wealth up to and including the supreme goal of enlightenment and liberation through knowing and seeing nirvana.
