Catherine Fitts: Power grids, bankers vs. West, secret underground bases, extinction events
I found one of their secret (naga) tunnels
(Tucker Carlson) Premiered April 28, 2025: The Tucker Carlson Show. Former Bush administration official Catherine Austin Fitts on how America’s leaders gave up on the country in the 1990s, began stealing trillions, and built a digital prison to control the population in a virtual concentration camp.
[Government officials stole and spent $21 trillion to build 170 secret underground cities for the elites and officials to survive an extinction-level event that they know is coming because such events regularly come around every 12,000 years or so: Nibiru, ET invasions, comets raining down, meteors crashing, Mayan Calendar cycles, Vedic-Hindu and Buddhist yugas and kalpas.]
How much is $21 trillion? It's exactly 21 times larger than the staggering quantity Americans call a trillion, which is 1,000 billion. So it's $21,000,000,000,000.00 (21,000 x billion).

How could a German film festival sound good to anyone but old Ashkenaz and Eurotrash hipsters? The highlight of the fest is a Turkish-German film about a woman going between the cultures, and that sounds fascinating. We should all be so elevated in culture. Tonight like last night at the Disney Music Hall in DTLA, Latin Gustavo Dudamel and Company perform the music of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (laphil.org).
GERMAN CURRENTS FILM FESTIVAL 2024
Germans get a bad rap due to history.
Film, unlike any other art form, has the power to connect us as human beings.
It allows us to empathize with others and step into their shoes, to travel across borders, and even travel through time. As the new director of the Goethe-Institut in Los Angeles, I [Luisa Rath-John] am proud to present some of the best new German cinema to the audiences of Southern California.
[NOTE: Goethe, a German surname, is not pronounced \go-eth\ as it would be in English but \gurr-tha\ of the \Gurr-tha Institoot\.]
The 18th annual festival takes place from October 11–14 with screenings at the American Cinematheque and the Goethe-Institut.
German Currents 2024 opens
Friday, October 11, 2024
The Egyptian Theatre, Hollywood
It begins with the exclusive red-carpet LA premiere of multi-award-winning writer-director Sonja Heiss’ German box office and festival favorite, WHEN WILL IT BE AGAIN LIKE IT NEVER WAS BEFORE, based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Joachim Meyerhoff and starring Devid Striesow (ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT, THE COUNTERFEITERS, AGE OF CANNIBALS). A gala reception at the Egyptian Theatre will follow the premiere.
The festival weekend continues with the US premiere of the popular short film showcase NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER 2024. The US premiere of director Sarah Neumann’s feature-length film debut, BEYOND THE BLUE BORDER, depicts the absurdities of life under East German rule and stars Lena Urzendowsky [FRANKY FIVE STAR, Netflix’s DARK, and HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE (FAST)].
Writer-director Fabian Stumm’s relationship drama, BONES AND NAMES, dives into the Berlin art scene and into the relationship between two creatives. Come and see them at the Goethe-Institut.
At the American Cinematheque’s Los Feliz 3 Theater, German Currents presents the LA premiere of multi-award-winning cinematographer-director Judith Kaufmann and director Georg Maas’ historical drama THE GLORY OF LIFE, capturing the final year and romance in the life of writer Franz Kafka, as well as US premiere of writer-director Aslı Özarslan’s ELBOW, based on the novel Ellbogen by Fatma Aydemir.
Completing the festival program, the annual German Currents children's matinee returns to the Goethe-Institut on Sunday, October 13. It will bring to the audience a free LA Premiere screening of Soleen Yusef’s winner of the German Film Award for best Youth and Children’s Film, WINNERS, that will also be presented as a special invite-only educational screening for LA area schools on Monday, October 14, at the Gardena Cinema.
A discussion with Soleen Yusef is planned following both events.
On behalf of German Currents' partners, supporters, and the GC Team, I look forward to welcoming you all to the festival and to the opportunity to meet and engage with our audience and share the transformative power of cinema.
Best, Luisa Rath-John and the German Currents Team

What's coming? WARNING
(FREENVESTING) Chucky Munger warns investors of what’s ahead for the markets -- trouble that could be worse and harder to fix than what was experienced during Volcker’s era, which ended up with a huge recession.
Hey, kids, rise up and overthrow the bank.
Being a vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and the closest partner (right hand man) of Warren "The Oracle of Omaha" Buffett, Charles T. Munger has a [known] net worth of around $2 billion. He is a profoundly wise businessman who is absolutely worth listening to, especially when it comes to investing, the psychology of wealthy people, financial rationality, and life experience.
[Do you think Warren Buffett would really let Munger talk or make a YouTube video if it weren't manipulating markets and opinions in Berkshire Hathaway's favor? Caveat emptor. Take with a grain of salt, noting that "grain" is an outdated unit of measure.]
WQ Money Man's outlook (opinion, July 5, 2022)
Gold is down, and long-term prospects are dismal due to Ugandan discovery
Silver is down, and short-term prospects are not looking bright as supply is plentiful
Brent crude: Oil prices tumble below $100, may fall more
Crypto is down, and long-term prospects are dismal for the current players [but certain for block chain as a principle which will be utilized by current banks and governments like China making its own coin and enforcing it, as there's no way these players will lose control of currencies]
Rents are up, and short-term prospects are good that they will rise [because of the well-known maxim property is theft" and few are able to buy homes, home supplies are down, and financing is harder and harder to get]
Real estate is up, and long-term prospects are stable to rising
Greenbacks (US currency) took a surprising bump up [by manipulation of a powerful government, as nations like Sri Lanka are dying for this reserve currency before it ends its reign]
Military hardware looks strong and growing, as war profiteering continues to be stronger than health care and medical tech stocks
Pharmaceuticals are up with strong long-term prospects as fear grows over pandemics, monkey pox, and future planned scares
Stocks and bonds are down with short-term prospects shaky and unstable
Cars, new and used automobile prices are up surprisingly and expected to tumble before the end of the year, but this tumble is not certain, as there is no relief in sight even for used car availability
Financing (interest rates) is up as banks gouge everyone they can who needs to keep their head afloat in these uncertain times
Insurance prices going up as prices for cars and other insured items rise, even if risk is stable
Commodities, farm items, deathstock (slaughtered animals) and plants are down with prices in the short-term heading down
Today saw the biggest plunge in Wall Street history as the stock market dropped 1,175 points (4%, 1,600 points at one time during the day as panic selling started and automated sell offers were triggered).
It has been as high as 2,600 which is meaningless, dizzying heights that do not reflect reality. Bitcoin is not helping as it deflates leaving suckers panicked. All 2018 gains are lost (npr.org).
How's that crypto bitcoin doing?
This sell-off started last week with no apparent explanation. Interest rates are going up. Pres. Trump is being an _-hole, as usual, and other market indicators are generally "healthy."
But clearly this is all about an overheated, over-inflated, fear-stricken market. It's volatile. The VIX (volatility index) has been placid, comatose, but today it surged up beyond its historical average.
I want my money back, Donald Duck Trump!
However, this is not the worst it's ever been in percentage terms. It was worse during the recent Depression we never really pulled out of and the dot com crisis and housing bubble burst that have hit it.
Then there was that Black Friday that sent the country into mire so that only a permanent war economy seemed like the solution. How's that working out for you, war profiteers?
Dow drops more than 1,100 points in Stock Market rout:
Dow sinks 200 points as Wall Street suffers another bad day: Feb. 5(money.cnn.com) After the market started 2018 with a bang, last week was the worst on
Wall Street in two years. The selling gathered steam on Friday when the
Dow plunged 666 points, or 2.5%, its worst day since the Brexit mayhem
of June 2016. Nearly $1 trillion of market value was erased from the
Standard and Poor (S&P) 500 last week.

The whole world is currently suffering a major economic crisis, which has a good chance of being as severe as the Great Depression of the 1930s.
Can Buddhist teachings help us understand what is happening?
It can. Capitalism is like that. The financial markets reflect the cumulative result of millions of individual decisions. Regarding decisions, the Buddha said that it is wise that they not be made on the basis of
greed (craving)
anger or fear (aversion)
delusion (ignorance).
It is obvious how greed and anger/fear (aversion) have poisoned the well. So I would like to focus on something a little deeper, namely, how delusion has worked to create the present financial collapse.
This paper bill used to be as valuable as gold.
Specifically, the whole scenario demonstrates the amazing power of mental formations (sankharas) in human history. Money is an abstraction.
At some point in the distant past people agreed to believe that one is shiny rock was worth those two cows, even though the real, utilitarian value of a cow is considerably more than the real value of a symbolic shiny rock.
Paper money is an even higher level of abstraction. This piece of paper with this number and the queen’s face, or a spooky eye-in-a-pyramid design or whatever it might be, is said to represent so many shiny rocks, which are worth so many cows.
Having gone off the gold standard, our currency is now “fiat money,” meaning that the value is established purely by government whim or fiat.
The gold standard is a system that depends on a fixed amount of gold. Each paper unit is redeemable for gold at any time. Fiat money means nothing is backing it except the promise of a government that it has value. This is a lot less stable but a lot cheaper, so now nearly all countries use the fiat or "because I say so" method of printing money. U.S. Pres. Nixon took the U.S. off the gold standard in 1971.
This is not fully accurate. A dollar bill doesn’t have value because the government or central bank says so; it has value because the people believe it does. Ours is a faith-based currency.
It is not surprising that paper money was first used in China, a civilization deeply affected by Buddhism and Taoism, and used to philosophical subtlety (sophistry).
Consider what is happening here: Material goods and hours of labor are freely traded for an agreed convention. Something on the material plane of reality is being surrendered for something on the purely abstract plane of mental formations, which is void and without substance.
Maybe that eye-in-the-pyramid on the dollar bill is telling us something.
Fast forward to the dawn of modern capitalism in post-reformation Europe. The “real” economy of goods and services was becoming complicated, involving more and more kinds of goods, some of which were being shipped all around the planet.
What is “money” really? It is debt, but few know that. This is essential viewing on money and our banking system, a
fast-paced and highly entertaining animated feature by Paul Grignon. It explains the world's money system. How is money created? "When
banks [private corporations] extend loans to their customers, they CREATE money by crediting
their customers' accounts," explains Sir Mervyn King in a speech to the South Wales
Chamber of Commerce at The Millennium Centre, Cardiff, October
23, 2012. Need more evidence? The Bank of England explains in a "Brief History of Banknotes." "Britain
finally left the gold standard in 1931, and the note issue became
entirely fiduciary, that is, wholly backed by securities instead of
gold." Question is, WHAT securities?
To facilitate all these transactions on the plane of material reality, various new kinds of mental abstractions were invented, usually represented by fancy bits of paper.
Promissory notes, insurance plans, bonds, and company stocks all came into being, each representing a contract between parties to fulfill certain obligations.
Symbolism
Stock certificates, bonds, notes, and bills were often printed with all kinds of elaborate borders, seals, watermarks, and decorations.
This served a utilitarian purpose, making forgery difficult, but it had a more important symbolic function: Much like ritual in religion, it worked to awe observers. Something special is happening here. It wasn’t long before these pieces of paper were trading for more than their book-value. More
"The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work. [The other] two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do -- stock and real estate speculation. It's b-llsh-t.
"You got 90% of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip -- we pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you, buddy?
It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around, pal, I've still got a lot to teach you...." "If you need a friend, get a dog.
Bud Fox: "Sun-Tzu: If your enemy is superior, evade him. If angry, irritate him. If equally matched, fight. And if not, split and reevaluate."
Carl Fox: "Money's only something you need in case you don't die tomorrow..."
Gordon Gekko: The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good.
Carl Fox: "Stop going for the easy buck, and start producing something with your life. Create instead of living off the buying and selling of others."
Lou Mannheim: "Man looks in the abyss; there's nothing staring back at him. At that moment, man finds his character. And that is what keeps him out of the abyss." "The main thing about money, Bud, is that it makes you do things you don't want to do.
Stealing on an industrial scale: Wall Street, NY, home of the brutal U.S. brand of capitalism.
.
Wake up before you're "poor"!
Gordon Gekko: [At the Teldar Paper stockholder's meeting] "Well, I appreciate the opportunity you're giving me, Mr. Cromwell, as the single largest shareholder in Teldar Paper, to speak. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we're not here to indulge in fantasy but in political and economic reality. America, America has become a second-rate power. Its trade deficit and its fiscal deficit are at nightmare proportions. Now, in the days of the free market, when our country was a top industrial power, there was accountability to the stockholder.
Destroy us, but who cares? As long as I'm rich.
"The Carnegies, the Mellons, the men that built this great industrial empire, made sure of it because it was their money at stake. Today, management has no stake in the company! All together, these men sitting up here own less than three percent of the company. And where does Mr. Cromwell put his million-dollar salary? Not in Teldar stock; he owns less than one percent. You own the company. That's right, you, the stockholder. And you are all being royally screwed over by these, these bureaucrats, with their luncheons, their hunting and fishing trips, their corporate jets and golden parachutes."
Why feed the needy when you can feed the greedy?"End corporate welfare and maybe we can get people off welfare." Disaster capitalism means getting rich from public coffers.
Cromwell: "This is an outrage! You're out of line, Gekko!"
If too much is not enough, maybe more?
Gordon Gekko: Teldar Paper, Mr. Cromwell, Teldar Paper has 33 different vice presidents each earning over $200,000.00 a year. Now, I have spent the last two months analyzing what all these guys do, and I still can't figure it out. One thing I do know is that our paper company lost $110,000,000.00 last year, and I'll bet that half of that was spent in all the paperwork going back and forth between all these vice presidents. The new law of evolution in corporate America seems to be survival of the unfittest. Well, in my book you either do it right or you get eliminated. In the last seven deals that I've been involved with, there were 2.5 million stockholders who have made a pretax profit of 12 billion dollars. Thank you. I am not a destroyer of companies. I am a liberator of them! The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good.
In Benjamin I trust. It's all about the Bens!
"Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed in all of its forms -- greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge -- has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you very much."
.
Stop runaway capitalism. End the climate crisis that's killing our planet! #FloodWallStreet
.
"Fox, where the hell are you? I am losing MILLIONS! You got me into this airline, and you sure as hell better get me out or the only job you'll ever have on the Street is SWEEPING it! You hear me, Fox?"
Bud Fox: "You once told me, don't get emotional about stock. Don't! The bid is 16.5 and going down. As your broker, I advise you to take it."
Gordon Gekko: "Yeah. Well you TAKE IT! [shouting] right in the -ss, you f--king sc-mb-g c-cks-ck-r!"
Bud Fox: "It's two minutes to closing, Gordon. What do you want to do? Decide."
Gordon Gekko: [calming down] "Dump it." [Later, meeting alone together in Central Park] "Hiya, Buddy."
Bud Fox: [Nods as the both walk up to face one another] "Gordon."
Gordon Gekko: [With a smirk on his face] "Sand bagged me on Bluestar, huh? I guess you think you taught the teacher a lesson that the tail can wag the dog, huh? Well, let me clue you in, pal. The ice is melting right underneath your feet." [Punches Bud and grabs him by the coattails] "Did you think you could've gotten this far this fast with anyone else, huh? That you'd be out there d-cking someone like Darien? No.
"I am the 1%." What are you?
"You'd still be cold-calling widows and dentists trying to sell them 20 shares of some dog sh-t stock. I took you in [hits him again] a NOBODY! [hits him again] I opened the doors for you! Showed you how the system works! The value of information! How to get it! Fulham Oil! Brant Resources! Geodynamics! And this is how you f-cking pay me back, you COCKROACH? [He hits him once again and Bud falls to the ground]. I GAVE you Darien. I GAVE you your manhood. I gave you EVERYTHING!"
Where's my money?
[He calms down then takes out his handkerchief and throws it to Bud to clean off the blood the way Stewie once threw a towel at Brian after beating and torturing him -- in the video above -- over a late loan payment saying, "Here, clean yourself off."]
Gordon Gekko: "You could've been one of the great ones, Buddy. I looked at you and saw myself. Why?"
