Wisdom Quarterly; City of Artesia (Little India, L.A.)

Saturday, October 4
Among all U.S. cities, Artesia is at the top when it comes to cultural diversity. That comes from the U.S. census! Come celebrate this astounding fact with the Artesians today, October 4th, at the City of Artesia’s first International Street Fair and Diversity Festival.
The City is closing down Pioneer Boulevard from 183rd Street to 188th, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, for the celebration of Ma Durga (India's most revered goddess) and all the vitality California offers.
This is expected to be a huge fest - a signature event for Artesia meant to embrace the many groups who form the tapestry of the city. Residents are all encouraged to attend like people form all parts of Southern California and India.
Festival organizers have planned for a shuttle system to assist attendees from all over the area to join in the festivities. Festival organizers are also looking for cultural performances, like dances, plays, demonstrations, and music. More
