Three guys were talking in the local bar when the manager announced that he had just hired the strongest man around to work as bouncer. He was so sure that he offered a $1,000 bet that no one could beat him.
 

The challenge was that the bouncer would squeeze a lemon until all the juice ran out then hand that lemon to the customer. Anyone who could squeeze even one more drop out of the lemon would win the money.
 

Over the next few days many people tried -- truck drivers, gangsters, karate masters -- and all failed. Then one day a geeky little fellow, a pipsqueek  of a man with heavy horn-rimmed glasses, came into the bar and inquired if he could have a go at the challenge.
 

After the laughter died down, the manager said it was only fair that he be given a chance. The bouncer picked up a lemon and started squeezing. Once he was done he handed the remains to the little guy, who promptly squeezed another drop out of it. Everyone was amazed and doubted he had actually done it. So just to assure everyone, he squeezed out 3 more drops onto the bar.
 

Everyone looked on in amazement as the manager was about to hand over the prize money. But he paused and asked the man, "Excuse me, but what do you do for a living that has given you this extraordinary ability? Construction worker, weightlifter, stage magician?" "No," replied the man, "IRS agent." Source

Taxpayer receipt: Where our tax dollars go

[The following is a feelgood media deception accounting for where tax dollars go. Income tax, as distinct from state taxes and taxes charged for consumer products, is used to pay off debt generated by the Federal Reserve, a private bank that controls currency and derives exorbitant profits from doing so. It may be hidden in the national debt/deficit so things may be paid for and further interest charged for that mindboggling debt. This tax receipt is a best case scenario of where our money goes, which admits that not all military spending -- particularly massive black budget operations -- is accounted for.]

Just how much of the federal taxes you pay go to footing the bill for U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Or, what's your share of the tab for interest on the national debt? And how about to fund Medicare and Social Security, or to support foreign aid or the FBI?

The simple truth is most of us don't have any idea how Uncle Sam divvies up the money we send him every year. That makes it hard to understand the real choices the country faces as Congress and the President debate how to get our fiscal house in order. More

NEW YORK – The war of words waged by John McCain and Barack Obama for the votes of plumbers and other average Joes is a reminder of the nation's long-standing doubts about concentrated wealth — and its qualms about doing something about it.

Americans have voiced concerns about putting too much wealth in to too few hands since the country was founded, but the public's views also come with contradictions.

Now it's clearer than ever — thanks to Obama's much scrutinized talk about taxes with a certain Ohio voter and McCain's dogged criticism — that these mixed feelings about income inequality are a long way from being resolved.

"I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody," Obama told the man — maybe you've heard of him — Joe the Plumber. More>>
