Minerals are missing from soil and food

The mighty Himalayas are riddled with Buddhist monasteries, monuments, and statues.

Shilajeet good, weakness bad. Eat rock (mineral).
Is author Dr. Steven Gundry, MD, a fraud and a quack now -- eager for a great gimmick as a money grab -- or is he a sincere vegetarian researcher who changes his mind as he goes along? It used to be "Avoid all plant lectins" then it was "Eat anything you want, just add my special secret ingredient olive oil" [which only grows in quantity in Morocco on a farm I made a personal deal with]. Now he's echoing the message of Dr. Joel Wallach (criticalhealthnews.com) in rediscovering that our "soil is depleted" and can't provide intensively farmed fruits and vegetables with the nutrient levels they once had.

Dr. Gundry MD ®
So we have to get it from supplements, but supplements won't be digest without these critical trace minerals needed for health. They are found in organic fulvic acid (Sanskrit Shilajit, English "Destroyer of Weakness" or Asphalt or Mineral Pitch, Russian Mumiyo, German Mumie), which comes most famously from the Himalayas. But Dr. Gundry claims to have found a richer vein of these minerals here in the United States. He won't say where [to keep his investment secret] but does claim it's in the lower 48 somewhere in the south of the country. It sounds like he found Dr. Wallach's mountain of prehistoric minerals, which are sold in Youngevity products. It seems Dr. Gundry is getting more extreme (ex-[main]stream), but he's absolutely correct that we need 90 minerals and vitamins that just are not in the soil anymore. We need to supplement them into our diets for maximum health.
It might be better to go to the tallest mountain in the world, K2, in the Karakoram range

Obsessed with Eating (sutra)

The Four Nutriments of Life An Anthology of Buddhist Texts with introductory essay by Ven. Nyanaponika Thera; Dhr. Seven, Amber Larson, Eliza Darcey (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

The Four Nutriments of Existence
§ 1. One Thing... Meditators, when a meditator becomes entirely dispassionate towards one thing, when lust for it entirely fades away, when one is entirely liberated from it, when one sees the complete ending of it, then that person is one who, after fully comprehending the goal (nirvana), makes an end of all suffering here and now.

What one thing? "All beings subsist on nutriment." When a meditator becomes entirely dispassionate towards this one thing (ahara, nutriment), when lust for it entirely fades away, when one is entirely liberated from it, and when one sees the complete ending of it, then, O meditators, one is one who, after fully comprehending the goal, makes an end of all suffering here and now.
  • § 2. Similes for the Four Nutriments
The Son's Flesh Sutra and Similes

Thus have I heard. At Savatthi. The Buddha said: "There are, O meditators, four nutriments
  • [Note 7: Pali: ahara, from aharati, "to take up, to take on to oneself, to bring, carry, fetch."]
for the sustenance of beings that have been born and for the support of beings seeking rebirth.
  • [8: Of "beings born" — bhutanam, literally, of those who have come into existence. Of "beings seeking birth" — bhavesinam, lit.: "of these seeking existence." The latter term refers, according to the Commentary, in the case of egg-born and womb-born beings, to the in between period before they have emerged from the shell or the membranous sheath in the case of humans. Beings born of moisture (sedaja) or "spontaneously" (opapatika) are called "seeking birth" at their first thought moment.]
"What are the four?
  1. edible food, coarse and fine [9: kabali'nkaro aharo, lit.: "morsel-made food."  Commentary: "It is a term for the nutritive essence (oja) of which boiled rice etc., is the (coarse) basic (vatthu)."]
  2. sense impression [10: (or "contact," phassa) is sixfold, through the: eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind.]
  3. volitions [11: "Volitional thought" mano-san-cetana, is according to the Commentary identical with cetana, "intention," and refers here to karmic volition.]
  4. consciousness [12: "Consciousness" (viñña'na) refers to all types of consciousness, which is of six types: eye-, ear-, nose-, tongue-, body-, and mind-consciousness.]
I would eat you alive, son. - I know, Dad, and I bet you want to be eaten, too. - Hell no!

1. "How, O meditators, should the nutriment of edible food be understood and considered?

"Suppose a couple, a wife and husband, have set out on a journey through the desert, carrying only limited provisions.

"These parents have with them their only son, their dearly beloved child. Now, while the two travel through the desert, their limited stock of provisions runs out, comes to an end, yet there is still a stretch of desert to be crossed. The two think:

"'Our small stock of provisions has run out, come to an end, and there is still a stretch of desert to be crossed. Should we not slaughter our only son, our dearly beloved child, and prepare from his corpse both dried and roasted meat? By eating our own son's flesh, we might cross in that way the remaining part of the desert. Otherwise, all three of us might perish.'

Beloved baby steaks for drying and roasting
"And these two, husband and wife, kill their only son, their dearly beloved child, prepare dried and roasted meat. And eating their son's flesh, they cross in that way the remaining part of the desert.

"While eating their son's flesh, they beat their breasts crying: 'Where are you, our only son, our beloved child, where are you?'

"What do you think, O meditators? Will they eat that food for pleasure, for enjoyment, for the sake of becoming more beautiful, for (the body's) embellishment?"
  • [13: The same phrases occur in the Buddhist monastic's reflection on alms food, e.g., at MN 2; explained in the Path of Purification or Visuddhimagga (trans. by Ven. Nanamoli, p. 31 ff.).]
"Certainly not, O venerable sir!"

"Will they not instead eat that food merely for the sake of crossing the desert?"

"Yes, just so, O venerable sir!"

"In the same way, I say, O meditators, should edible food be considered:

"O meditators, if the nutriment of edible food is comprehended, LUST for objects of the five senses is (thereby) comprehended. And if lust for objects of the five senses is comprehended, there is no bond fettered by which a noble [enlightened] disciple might come again to this world.
  • [14: That is one has become a non-returner (anagami), the third of four stages of enlightenment, by eradicating the fetter of sense craving desire (kama-raga-samyojana) which, according to the Commentary forms a unit with those other fetters (samyojanas) that are abandoned (pahanekattha) at this stage, i.e., personality belief, skeptical doubt, attachment to rites and rituals, and ill-will.]
Can you make them stop eating me?
2. "And how, O meditators, should the nutriment of sense impression be  understood or considered? Suppose, O meditators, there is a skinned cow that stands close to a wall. The creatures living in the wall will nibble at the cow.

"If the skinned cow stands near a tree, the creatures living in the tree will nibble at it. If it stands in water, the creatures living in the water will nibble at it. If it stands in the open air, creatures living in the air will nibble at it. Wherever that skinned cow stands, the creatures living there will nibble at it.

"In that manner, I say, O meditators, should the nutriment of sense impression be considered. If the nutriment of sense impression is comprehended, the three kinds of feeling
  • [15: pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral feeling or sensation.]
are thereby comprehended. And if the three kinds of feeling are comprehended, there is, I say, no further work left to do for the noble disciple.
  • [16: This refers to the attainment of arhatship or sainthood," full enlightenment, liberation from the Wheel of Life and Death (rebirth) and all suffering.]
Lady Gaga in her "meat dress," thinks Leo (Die Antwoord "Hey Fatty Boom Boom")
.
3. "And how, O meditators, should the nutriment of volitions be understood and considered? Suppose, O meditators, there is a pit of glowing embers, filled to cover a human's height, with embers glowing so brightly there are no flames or smoke.

"Now a person who loves life and wishes to live, who wishes for happiness and detests suffering, comes along. Then two strong men seize both of that person's arms and drag the person to that pit of glowing embers.

"Then, O meditators, far from it would that person's will recoil, far from it that person's longing, far from it that person's inclination. Why? It is, of course, because that person knows: 'If I fall into that pit of glowing embers, I'll meet death or deadly pain.'

"In that manner, I say, O meditators, should the nutriment of volitions be considered. If the nutriment of volitions is comprehended, the three kinds of craving
  • [17: sensual craving, craving for (eternal) existence, and craving for self-annihilation.]
are thereby comprehended. And if the three kinds of craving are comprehended, there is, I say, no further work left to do for the noble disciple.

The life of a ruler is beset with bad karma.
4. "And how, O meditators, should the nutriment of consciousness be understood and considered?

"Suppose, O meditators, people have seized a criminal, a robber, and brought that person before the ruler saying: 'O majesty, this is a criminal, a robber! Mete out the punishment you think fit!'

"Then the ruler would tell them: 'Go, and in the morning strike this person with a hundred spears!' And they strike him in the morning with a hundred spears.

"At noon the ruler would ask them: 'How is that criminal?'

— 'That robber is still alive, your majesty.'

— 'Then go and strike that criminal again at noontime with a hundred spears!' So they do, and in the evening the ruler asks them again: 'How is that criminal?'

— 'That robber is still alive.' — 'Then go and in the evening strike that criminal again with a hundred spears!' And so they do.

"What do you think, O meditators? Will that criminal -- struck with three hundred spears during a day -- suffer pain and torment owing to that?"

"Even if that person were to be struck by only a single spear, that person would suffer pain and torment owing to that. How much more if struck by three hundred spears!"

"In that manner, I say, O meditators, should the nutriment of consciousness be considered.

"If the nutriment of consciousness is comprehended, mind-and-matter are thereby comprehended. And if mind and body are comprehended, there is, I say, no further work left to do for the noble disciple."

Dead Doctors Don't Lie: Eat to live (video)

Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven, Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly; Dr. Joel Wallach (MrYoungevity)

This is the official "Dead Doctor's Don't Lie" presentation by Dr. Joel Wallach. It is an in depth presentation of Dr. Wallach's journey and discovery of truth.

He covers the necessary steps to take to completely heal the human body and eliminate chronic disease.

The secret is supplementing with and assimilating the 90 essential nutrients this body needs, which we are not getting from food because the soil is depleted of trace minerals and nutrients.

It is a powerful presentation in its original complete from of 1 hour and 39 minutes. This is the full-length video.

Ten Bad Foods to Avoid
  1. Wheat – gluten
  2. barley – gluten
  3. rye – gluten
  4. Solutions (youngevity.com)
  5. oats, oatmeal – even if it it’s gluten-free because oats contain a kind of protein that is as hard for the body to digest as gluten. [Other gluten-free grains are okay: rice, millet, buckwheat (isn’t wheat), amaranth, quinoa, GMO-free organic corn].
  6. fried food – nothing fried! Boil, broil, or bake and never more than medium rare for red meat.
  7. oils – they oxidize when they come into contact with air (and become rancid). Since almost all oil is continually exposed to some air from the time it is produced, the process of oxidation has begun in even the freshest oil. Heat, light, and plastic all make bottled oils toxic. Oxidized oils cause inflammation and cell damage. (Essential fatty acid or EFA oils are kept refrigerated in the dark, preferably in glass or flushed with nitrogen to prevent oxidation).
  8. well done red meat (no burned fats) – If food is grilled, place something between the food and the fire (like parchment paper or tin foil) so the juices do not drip onto the flame and deposit dangerous things on the food.
  9. any nitrates added to meat – (like deli meats), SAY NO NITRATES and NITRITES!
  10. carbonated drinks – of any kind one hour before, during, or one hour after meals.
  11. skin of baked potatoes (yams, sweet potatoes) – boiled potatoes, skins are fine.
  • CAUTION on phytates (nuts, seeds, rice, beans, spinach, peas, lentils, legumes, etc.), they bind to minerals and interfere with their absorption and wastes them. If eating phytates, take minerals at least two hours before or two hours afterward.

    The Three Keys to Health
Edgar Cayce (Association for Research and Enlightenment) said good health depends on three things, proper:
    • 1. ingestion,
    • 2. digestion (assimilation of nutrients taken in), and
    • 3. elimination (as many bowel movements in a day as meals and lots of clean water, preferably distilled, to flush the body every day). If we consume nutritious alkalizing food and minerals and vitamins and assimilate them, while the body cleanses itself daily without us burdening our skin, lungs, and liver with common toxins (toxic creams, soaps, sprays, perfumes, pills, processed foods, preservatives, smoke, smog, etc.)
We would add destressing (coping by calmness), rejuvenating drug-free sleep, and daily easy exercise like hatha yoga, walking, biking, hiking, or swimming in non-chlorinated water.

How to give your kid AUTISM (video)

Wisdom Quarterly; NotADoc.org; Health Freedom Expo
Autism the Musical? Now that 1 in 88 (or more) children born in the US fall into the range of Autism Spectrum Disorder, it makes sense. Pregnant? Take food-based GTC Chromium, particularly if obese or diabetic, to prevent offspring from developing this condition. Avoid mass vaccinations given in overwhelming clusters; avoid vaccinations altogether or at least space them out so as not to overwhelm a child's system.

Want a kid who keeps quiet? Who clings to you? Who seems unaware of the outside world? Autism might be the way to go. Peter Pan Syndrome of interest to some mothers.

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder -- from Aspberger's to shy to socially awkward -- have a hard time becoming independent, so the apron strings never have to be cut. It may be shocking that anyone would want an autistic child when autism can be such a profound mental and social disorder. But it doesn't matter what people "want" when they are behaving as if they want it without knowing. And many are therefore getting it.

() Tricia Regan's documentary "Autism: The Musical" follows five autistic children on their journey to create and perform a live musical. Watch a preview! It airs on "Super Soul Sunday" April 15 at 11/10c.
What are parents, particularly biological mothers, doing? Diabetes, obesity, and exposure to environmental toxins.

Which toxins? The tremendous load brought on by 50 vaccines given at once to defenseless infants and children in the name of money, doctor's profits when many vaccines are now unnecessary and optional (one can opt out, which admittedly is difficult to do but not nearly as difficult as raising an autistic child).

That load is added to the toxins already in mother's milk, which every child should get along with the colostrum of the first production or one can expect colic, depression and endless digestive problems from not establishing the right flora in the gut.

    Asperger's Syndrome (O.O.P.S./New York Times)

If it is often what the parents were doing, in addition to the mysterious working of karma, before conceiving and the vaccines they expose their children to -- which are mostly harmless but almost never given ALONE!

The "vaccine" is not always the problem; excipients, carriers, and deadly "preservatives" are the problem. But try to get one without the other, and it begins to become clear how biased "scientific studies" avoid finding a link because they do not use what is given to children.

They instead use unadulterated vaccine strains to not confound their results. If they were to use "vaccines" as they are given to children, then their results would have to be suppressed by pharmaceutical firms and governments, but at least the scientists would know that they are causing this devastating condition.

(A similar thing happens with regard to produce and vegetable nutrition labels, which used to show vitamin and mineral content as if cooking, which destroys and washes them away, were not a normal part of eating them).

And all one will be told is that "Oh, but deadly mercury (thimerosal, etc.), aluminum, or other are just present in minute amounts" as if any more than trace amounts were needed to cause brain damage in an infant.

    What can be done?

What is the common link between obesity and diabetes and autism? A lac of the vital mineral GLUCOSE TOLERANCE FACTOR (GTF) CHROMIUM. This should not be confused with the toxic metal chromium or the government's toxic creation "chromium picolinate," which should be avoided.

What is vital for the body -- reversing diabetes, autism, and giving the body the energy it once had by being able to metabolize sugars -- is chromium as a naturally occurring element embedded in the food matrix (and added afterward). It must now be supplemented because it is missing from the food supply. All foods are now low in it, and the few whole foods that still have some usually have only enough to utilize in their own digestion.

Where there is Passion (Samy XII.64)

Buddhist monks memorizing and chanting sutras, Wat Sudat, Thailand (jaywye.com)

Originally this sutra evolved out of a long oral tradition. Therefore, it was chanted and memorized by rote, utilizing repetitive phrasings for ease of memory. This made it easier to hear and follow, much like the Greek poets -- for example, Homer's Iliad and Odyssey -- who recounted epic tales with history and a moral embroidered in. The following includes ellipses (...) minimizing this for readers, but this traditional flavor remains (WQ Editor).

Atthi Raga Sutta (Samyutta Nikaya XII.64)

Thus have I heard. The Buddha was dwelling at Savatthi...

"There are these four nutriments for the establishing of beings who have taken birth or for the support of those in search of a place to be born. What are the four?
    1. physical food, gross or refined is first;
    2. contact is the second,
    3. consciousness the third, and
    4. intellectual intention the fourth.
These are the four nutriments for the establishing of beings or for the support of those in search of a place to be born.

"Where there is passion, delight, and craving for the nutriment of physical food, consciousness lands there and grows. Where consciousness lands and grows, name-and-form alights. Where name-and-form alights, there is the growth of mental-fabrications. Where there is the growth of mental-fabrications, there is the production of renewed becoming in the future.

Where there is the production of renewed becoming in the future, there is future birth, aging, and death, together, I tell you, with sorrow, affliction, and despair.

"Where there is passion, delight, and craving for the nutriment of contact...

"Where there is passion, delight, and craving for the nutriment of consciousness...

"Where there is passion, delight, and craving for the nutriment of intellectual intention, consciousness lands there and grows. Where consciousness lands and grows, name-and-form alights. Where name-and-form alights, there is the growth of mental-fabrications.

"Where there is the growth of mental-fabrications, there is the production of renewed becoming in the future. Where there is the production of renewed becoming in the future, there is future birth, aging, and death, together, I tell you, with sorrow, affliction, and despair.

"Just as -- when there is dye, lac, yellow pigment, indigo, or crimson -- a dyer or painter would paint a picture of a woman or a man, complete in all its parts, on a well polished panel or wall, or on a piece of cloth. In the same way, where there is passion, delight, and craving for the nutriment of physical food... contact... consciousness... intellectual intention, consciousness lands there and grows.

"Where consciousness lands and grows, name-and-form alights.

"But where there is no passion for the nutriment of physical food, where there is no delight, no craving, then consciousness does not land there or grow.

"Where consciousness does not land or grow, name-and-form does not alight. Where name-and-form does not alight, there is no growth of mental-fabrications. Where there is no growth of mental-fabrications, there is no production of renewed becoming in the future. Where there is no production of renewed becoming in the future, there is no future birth, aging, and death. That, I tell you, has no sorrow, affliction, or despair.

"Where there is no passion for the nutriment of contact...Where there is no passion for the nutriment of consciousness...Where there is no passion for the nutriment of intellectual intention...

"Where there is no growth of mental-fabrications, there is no production of renewed becoming in the future. Where there is no production of renewed becoming in the future, there is no future birth, aging, and death. That, I tell you, has no sorrow, affliction, or despair.

"Just as if there were a roofed house or a roofed hall having windows on the north, the south, or the east. When the sun rises, and a ray has entered by way of the window, where does it land?"

    "On the western wall, sir."

"And if there is no western wall, where does it land?"

    "On the ground, sir."

"And if there is no ground, where does it land?"

    "On the water, sir."

"And if there is no water, where does it land?"

    "It does not land, sir."

"In the same way, where there is no passion for the nutriment of physical food... contact... consciousness... intellectual intention, where there is no delight, no craving, then consciousness does not land there or grow. Where consciousness does not land or grow, name-and-form does not alight.

"Where name-and-form does not alight, there is no growth of mental-fabrications. Where there is no growth of mental-fabrications, there is no production of renewed becoming in the future.

"Where there is no production of renewed becoming in the future, there is no future birth, aging, and death. That, I tell you, has no sorrow, affliction, or despair."
