"Buddha Boy" studied by science

Footage of "Buddha Boy" (a.k.a. Palden Dorje or Ram Bahadur Bomjan), who has been meditating without food or water for three years. Bodhisattva Bomjan is known to the world as a teenage "buddha-to-be," someone aspiring to reach full enlightenment with the power to establish and teach the Dharma. Scientists tested the claim that he has been fasting to see if he is really going without food and water as is popularly believed.

See Buddha Boy Live

CANCELLED: Blessings from Nov. 18-23, 2009. Ram Bahadur Bomjan was to appear at Gadi Mai Mela festival to protest the sacrificing of millions of animals before they are killed on the 24th, an ancient Hindu/Nepalese blood sacrifice that has taken place once every five years for several millennia. However, for security reasons, Brahmin priests were unwilling to allot a space for the ceremony (puja).

NEW PLAN: The "Buddha Boy" Palden Dorje plans to make a peaceful appearance on Nov. 24, 2009 at the site of Gadhi Mai festival, near Nijgad in Bara District, Nepal -- when the sacrifices would otherwise take place (Source and updates).
