In the 14th century a Muslim historian named Ibn Khaldun wrote about a pattern apparent in history: Farmers build irrigation systems supporting villages and towns. Later some warrior brings these towns under rule and forms a united political entity, a territory, kingdom (country), or empire.
Then a tribe of nomads [like the Buddha's Aryan family tribe, the Scythians/Sakas, in Afghanistan] comes along and conquers the kingdom, seizes all its holdings, and settles in their place and further expands the new empire or civilization. Introduction and Background
Eight Indigenous intellectuals created the volume For Indigenous Minds Only: A Decolonization Handbook to offer hands-on suggestions and activities for Indigenous communities to engage in as they worked to develop decolonizing activities.
Beginning with the belief that Indigenous Peoples have the strength, intelligence, and wisdom to develop culturally-specific decolonization strategies to pursue our own strategies of liberation, we attempt to begin to demystify the language of colonization [invasion followed by settler colonialism] and decolonization [the process of undoing the internal harm].
Through a step-by-step process, we hope to help Indigenous readers identify useful concepts, terms, and intellectual frameworks to assist us all in our struggle toward meaningful change and self-determination.
The handbook covers a wide range of topics including Indigenous governance, education, languages, oral tradition, repatriation, images and stereotypes, nutritional strategies, and truthtelling.

Undoing the effects of colonialism and working toward decolonization requires each of us to consciously consider to what degree we have been affected by not only the physical aspects of colonization but also the psychological and spiritual aspects.
Kenyan intellectual Ngugi wa Thiong’o, in his book Decolonising the Mind, describes the “cultural bomb” as the greatest weapon unleashed by imperialism:
The effect of the cultural bomb is to annihilate a people’s belief in their names, in their languages, in their environment, in their heritage of struggle, in their unity, in their capacities and ultimately in themselves. It makes them see their past as one wasteland of non-achievement and it makes them want to distance themselves from that wasteland. It makes them want to identify with that which is furthest removed from themselves; for instance, with other peoples’ languages rather than their own. It makes them identify with that which is decadent and reactionary, all those forces that would stop their own springs of life. It even plants serious doubts about the moral righteousness of struggle. Possibilities of triumph or victory are seen as remote, ridiculous dreams. The intended results are despair, despondency and a collective death-wish.
Planting and igniting this “cultural bomb” by the colonizing forces has been essential to the colonization process, for if our minds are contaminated with self-hatred and the belief that we are inferior to our colonizers, we will believe in both the necessity and virtue of the colonization forced on us.
We will begin to diminish the wisdom and beauty of Indigenous ways of existing and embrace the degrading ways of the colonizers who call themselves inherently superior. When we believe in their self-proclaimed superiority, and our motivation to fight for our own liberation is splintered and eventually seriously damaged.
However, we do not believe that our spirit can be killed. Destiny lies within each of us. Still, if we accept the cultural bomb, why would we fight for something we perceive to be undesirable? Working toward decolonization, then, requires us to consciously... More (Comments)

Scythians 1: History, Geography, Romanticism
The Shakyas (Sakas, Scythians) spoke in praise of the deity: Sakka King of the Devas(indo devanam) Indra, who became a disciple of the Buddha when a teaching brought him to the first stage of enlightenment which is accompanied by unwavering faith or confidence in the Dharma and the Buddha' enlightenment.

(WQ) It is interesting to note what so often goes unclarified in Buddhism. Though Prince Siddhartha's surname was Gautama, like his father King Sudhodana, their clan (extended family) name was Saka, Sakya, Shakya, Shakyian, or Scythian. His most famous epithet is "The Enlightened or Awakened One," which is the meaning of buddha. He is also called Shakyamuni, "Sage (muni) of the Shakya Clan," meaning a wandering ascetic from Scythia (Shakya Land), far from the Kingdom of Magadha (later a state in united India, which seems to have taken its name from Inda/Indo/Indra = Saka, Sakka, Sakra, when various kingdom and republics were united by the Buddhist Emperor Asoka into a coherent larger country or janapada, "foothold (territory) of a people or clan."

(Arys Atilov) How do you bra[zen]ly call them "Iranian-speaking"? The Scythian language is still unknown, except for text on their cup in the Issyk kurgan in Kazakhstan, which is most likely similar to the Ancient Turkic language.
(Yeezytaughtme) My family and I originate from the Altai region, where Scythians lived (Saka people) [Shakyians, Sakkas]. I'm Kazakh. When they found the "Ice Princess" [Siberian Ice Maiden] in Altai, she was buried along with her horse and sheep meat and horse meat. Kazakhs/Central Asians still eat horse meat and lamb to this day. Now I do not get this Iran thing. Scythians are our ancestors. When Turks get their DNA tested, it comes up very mixed as well.
(天王) The Sarmatians spoke the Scythian language. The numerous Iranian personal names in the Greek inscriptions from the Black Sea coast indicate that the Sarmatians spoke a North-eastern Iranian dialect ancestral to Alanian-Ossetian.

The “discovery” of kurgans [complex "burial mounds" called stupas in Buddhism] coincided with other discoveries in the Russian (USSR) historical studies of the times. Early in the 18th century, the ruler Peter I of the emerging Russian Empire undertook to hire the best European historians to write [fabricate] a Russian history.
At the time, the budding empire was a quilt of hundreds of recently subjugated nations, both Slavic and non-Slavic. The need for a unifying ideology was urgent and so was the need for the ideological justifications of future acquisitions.
The superiority of the Slavs was a ruling axiom, but it needed historical validation. After much reading of the Russian Primary Chronicles, it was re-established that the Russian ruling class descended from the Scandinavians, and the Slavic folks came from the Carpathians.
V. Tatischev, M. Lomonosov, and N. Karamzin suggested that the Slavs traced back to Scythians or Sarmatians. The Scythians at that time were regarded as Turkic, and the Sarmatians as multi-ethnic Indo-Europeans.
Both classifications were mostly of a speculative nature. M.Z. Zakiev wrote in Genesis of Türks and Tartars (Moscow, 2003, pp. 139-140): “The theory of exclusive Iranian linguality of all tribes united by the common name of the Scythians seemed plausible when the Iranists conducted etymological studies of the Scythian written monuments only selecting the word (ethnonyms) with solely Iranian roots.
“However, the research circle of these monuments was extending. The problem was also approached by non-Iranists, in particular Turkologists and other linguists. In the scientific circulation were introduced words with non-Iranian roots, especially with the Türkic roots, indicating the presence in the union of the Scythian tribes Türkic-lingual tribes...
“The result is a vicious circle: archaeologists are guided by the opinion of linguists, the archaeological culture of the Scythian and Sarmatian period is attributed to the Iranian-speaking tribes, and the linguists-Iranists for confirmation of their theory refer to the findings of the archaeologists.”
M.Z. Zakiev (ibid.): “Notably, all the Turkologists that reached the Scythian materials and studied them themselves, unequivocally recognize the Türkic-linguality of the main composition of the Scythians and Sarmatians, and prove that with linguistic, ethnological, mythological, and archaeological evidence.”
The Scythians had kurgans (tumuli [stupas]), funeral carts, timber graves, dugouts, felt material in their graves, embalming of corpses, graves lined with wood, bedding of bark, reeds, round shaped bottom ceramic, and bone and copper cheek pieces, which Medieval Turkic peoples had but no ancient or Indo-European people had.
T.A. Mollaev in “A new perspective on the history of the Ossetian people” (2010, p. 6) writes: “This table shows irreconcilable difference between the ethnic passport of the Scythians, represented in the archaeological materials, and the Indo-European peoples... And also a complete equivalence in the corresponding characteristics of the medieval Türkic peoples with the Scythian nations in antiquity.”
T.A. Mollaev (ibid., p. 9): “The 'Iranists' explained the Scythian words in this mode: was taken any anthroponym, ethnonym, etc. recorded by the ancient written sources, then for it was randomly sought a lexical unit from Ossetian or other Iranian, and even from other Indo languages, phonetically more or less suitable. And after that had to be held that the result of that comparison for a lexical unit of the Scythian words is translated such and such from the Iranian languages.
“With that method, and with the same success, could be compared with the Scythian word the lexical units of any other languages in the world. And then, with some phonetical resemblance, declare the Scythian words as translations from those languages. D. Verkhoturov (cited per T.A. Mollayev, ibid., p. 15):
“Believing the Iranian theory, it follows that around the middle of the 1st millennium AD the Türks 'left' from the Altai, quickly captured and Türkified a huge 'Iranian world,' and did it so well that no trace and fragments of the old world have remained.
“Meanwhile, it is perfectly clear that the formation of such vast Türkic world took millennia. There is absolutely definite archaeological complex of the steppe peoples, first of all kurgan burials in timber graves, burials with horse, etc., which in the archaeological materials of the Eurasian steppe zone clearly continue their descent in the culture of the undeniably Türkic peoples.
“The beginning of the continuity ascend at least to the beginning of the 1st millennium BC.”
Yu.N. Drozdov (page 10): “...despite a large number of works produced to demonstrate the Türkic-speaking of the Scythian-Sarmatian people, the conclusions of their authors have not yet been accepted by the modern historical science. Perhaps their evidentiary base was not found to be convincing, or more likely these findings do not fit the commonly accepted historical concept.”

Nearly a century before, scholars had discovered in this same area a variety of documents dating from the first millennium A.D. and written in a now extinct language known as Tokharian.
To everyone’s surprise, Tokharian [also spelled Tocharian] turned out to be related to the Indo-European tongues spoken in most of Europe (including English, Latin, and Greek) and in parts of the Near East (including Persian and Sanskrit). These far-flung Tokharian speakers therefore must have penetrated into Central Asia [Afghanistan and the rest of the "stans" that were once part of the Russian Empire] from the west, but when or how they got there no one knew.

The finding of groups of Caucasoid mummies in the Tarim Basin that clearly antedated the Tokharian inscription thus held out hope to the linguists that their puzzle might finally be solved.
Barber, an expert on prehistoric textiles, draws parallels between the weaving techniques of Japan and the Middle East, particularly Persia, but also more provocatively with those of the Celtic Peoples of Ireland and Scotland.
She, according to one reviewer, speculates that these mysterious people were ‘...peripatetic herders and oasis-hoppers of Indo-European origin, possibly Turkic speaking, and she establishes links between the Caucasian people of this remote Chinese region and the ancient Celts...’
Perhaps the most startling find was their clothing. Finely woven and brightly coloured woollen garments, made of very high quality raw materials, adorned the bodies: trousers, felt stockings, pointed hats, caftans. The weaving techniques used were reminiscent of the ancient Celtic weaving of Northwest Europe, with twill and tartan patterns using intensely rich colours including reds, yellows, and blues...
The discovery of Cowrie shells from the sea not naturally found within thousands of miles of this desert area indicates that these people must have engaged in long distance trade. Who were they, where did they originate and how did they come to be prospering in China at this time? (Italics added).

What was the real cause of WW II? Who/what powered the rise of Hitler's war machine?

Last night (May 26th, 10:00 pm-2:00 am PST) investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe (Earthfiles.com) talked to Blink 182's Tom DeLonge and Bill Tompkins.
Both of them have new books that detail an ancient alien war on Earth that has used unwitting human beings as surrogate fighters. The war continues but came to a head as WW II.
Humans have been drafted and prompted to kill one another as pawns in a complicated, many-layered chess board with the Earth's territory as the prize. Howe also covered upsetting recent animal mutilation cases in the England -- now involving cats, foxes, and other small animals. One group is trying to call attention to the problem by offering rewards to get to the bottom of it.
DeLonge, co-founder of the pop punk bands Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves, co-authored Sekret Machines, an ostensibly fictional work culled from real-life UFO cases and information he has received from his military and intelligence contacts, a group that serves as his advisors.
"I was told that there were numerous 'gods' fighting amongst themselves and interjecting themselves into human affairs," said DeLonge. The ancient myths of Greek "gods" on Mount Olympus stem from visiting aliens, he explains, and added that ancient hieroglyphics have been observed on some captured UFOs with letters that resembles Greek because it is a Grecian dialect.
Retired Naval engineer Bill Tompkins, author of Selected by Extraterrestrials, believes he was targeted by one group of ETs to be their representative in the 1940s. He revealed to Howe that while working for Naval intelligence during that time, he became aware of Hitler's UFO (Vril-Odin, vimana) program.

In that case, a group of Reptilian in conjunction with Nordic aliens were giving Hitler and Germany's Third Reich, were providing space vehicles with anti-gravitational propulsion systems.

Scholars rely on archaeological data and written records from settlers from the Old World.
But others go as low as 10 million. By the end of the 20th century most scholars gravitate to a middle estimate of around 50 million, with some historians still arguing for 100 million.
Contact with the New World led to the European colonization of the Americas, in which millions of white aliens from the Old World rushed to escape an exhausted Old World for a New World to exploit, displacing tens of millions of people already inhabiting the Americas, particularly what became the [British colony now called the] USA.
The population of Eurasian and forced relocation of African peoples in the Americas grew steadily, while the number of the indigenous people plummeted.

Most Americans are unfamiliar with the name of the [Native American] Caribbean tribe that believed their island was the earliest part of the creation, and therefore the sun and the moon every day rose up out of a cave on its northernmost coast.
On the other hand, most Americans know today is Columbus Day, at least in 47 states, although
Hawaii has renamed it "Discoverer's Day" after the original Polynesians, who populated that island thousands of years ago;
South Dakota calls it "Native American Day";
Alaska just ignores it.
But what we're really celebrating today is Happy Taino Genocide Day (October 10th) -- the day when Christopher Columbus began to wipe out an entire indigenous population in a way that would make even [U.S. backed-Cambodian mass murderer] Pol Pot blush.

(WQ) It is interesting to note what so often goes unclarified in Buddhism. Though Prince Siddhartha's surname was Gautama, like his father King Sudhodana, their clan (extended family) name was Saka, Sakya, Shakya, Shakyian, or Scythian. His most famous epithet is "The Enlightened or Awakened One," which is the meaning of buddha. He is also called Shakyamuni, "Sage (muni) of the Shakya Clan," meaning a wandering ascetic from Scythia (Shakya Land), far from the Kingdom of Magadha (later a state in united India, which seems to have taken its name from Inda/Indo/Indra = Saka, Sakka, Sakra, when various kingdom and republics were united by the Buddhist Emperor Asoka into a coherent larger country or janapada, "foothold (territory) of a people or clan."

(Arys Atilov) How do you bra[zen]ly call them "Iranian-speaking"? The Scythian language is still unknown, except for text on their cup in the Issyk kurgan in Kazakhstan, which is most likely similar to the Ancient Turkic language.

(Yeezytaughtme) My family and I originate from the Altai region, where Scythians lived (Saka people) [Shakyians, Sakkas]. I'm Kazakh. When they found the "Ice Princess" [Siberian Ice Maiden] in Altai, she was buried along with her horse and sheep meat and horse meat. Kazakhs/Central Asians still eat horse meat and lamb to this day. Now I do not get this Iran thing. Scythians are our ancestors. When Turks get their DNA tested, it comes up very mixed as well.
(天王) The Sarmatians spoke the Scythian language. The numerous Iranian personal names in the Greek inscriptions from the Black Sea coast indicate that the Sarmatians spoke a North-eastern Iranian dialect ancestral to Alanian-Ossetian.
(PerkeleGaming) That's not the origin of the word barbarian. It's because the Ancient Greek word for "blahblah" was barbar. Barbarian means someone who doesn't speak Greek. Greeks were pretty fond of beards, too, anyway.
