World’s oldest depiction of Creation discovered
(The Telegraph) The earliest depiction of the creation of the universe has been found on a 4,300-year-old silver goblet discovered in the West Bank, Palestine.
The vessel shows “before and after” scenes with a human-chimera figure confronted by a monstrous snake [nagain Buddhism], before the snake is subdued and the Sun takes its place in the sky, held aloft by two deities.

Archaeologists say the images are an allegory for Order triumphing over Chaos at the beginning of time. The Sun is shown moving across the heavens in a celestial “boat of light.” It is the oldest known depiction of the formation of the cosmos and predates the Babylonian creation myth Enuma Elish – which was recorded on stone tablets – by more than 1,000 years.
“The goblet does not tell of a violent struggle between gods [devas and asuras], but of a peaceful process of cosmic ordering,ˮ said Daniel Sarlo, co-author of the paper about the discovery for the Luwian Studies Foundation, a non-profit research group based in Switzerland.
“It shows how the Sun is born, banishes chaos, and renews the world.”

The artifact, which is 3.1 inches (7.9 cm) high, is known as the Ain Samiya goblet, and was found in the 1970s near Kafr Malik in the West Bank.

Researcher and author Michael "The Forbidden Archeologist" Cremo discusses his latest work on consciousness and intriguing discoveries challenging conventional paleoanthropology. A focal point of the conversation is the recent discovery of a species of pachycephalosaur dinosaurs in Montana, USA, known for their distinctive domed skulls. These herbivorous dinosaurs measured about 10 feet long and lived approximately 75 million years ago, before being wiped out by an asteroid impact near the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico.
Cremo challenges the long-held belief that humans and dinosaurs never coexisted. He cites evidence of human-like footprints dating back to the Cretaceous period and describes a "Jurassic dinosaur bone...with cut marks...like somebody had taken some sharp instrument and used it to strip the flesh off this dinosaur bone." These findings suggest a possible overlap between humans and dinosaurs, a position dismissed by mainstream scientists.
Currently involved in the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium project in India, Cremo says he is developing exhibits that explore concepts such as cyclic time and the soul's journey through different bodies (reincarnation) in different planetary systems.
He emphasizes the need for new explanations of human origins that incorporate all of the data -- particularly ooparts (out of place artifacts) and the concept of consciousness.
Having attended the Science of Consciousness Conference in Barcelona, Spain, he quotes one scientist from the conference who likened theories of consciousness to "toothbrushes," noting: "Everybody has one, but nobody seems to want to use the other person's," highlighting the fragmented and inconclusive nature of current scientific understanding.
Cremo argues that ancient civilizations had a sophisticated grasp of consciousness and the "self" (atman, ego) as distinct from the physical body. He points out that many ancient texts, such as the Vedic scriptures of the Brahmin priests claimed by Hinduism, describe a multidimensional universe (multiverse) with conscious selves transmigrating through various planes of existence.
"In the Vedic texts," he notes, "they speak of 400,000 human-like species scattered throughout the universe, some with amazing powers and abilities beyond what we are able to accomplish."

Vimānas are flying palaces or chariots described in Hindu texts and Sanskrit epics, which are disdainfully labelled "mythological." The Pushpaka Vimana of Ravana (who took it from Kubera, whereafter Rama returned it) is the most quoted example of a vimana. Nirmāṇarati निर्माणरति or Nimmānaratī निम्माणरती (Tibetan འཕྲུལ་དགའ་, Wylie phrul dga, Vietnamese Trời Hoá Lạc, Chinese 化乐天/化樂天, Japanese 化楽天 Keraku-ten, Burmese နိမ္မာနရတိ, Thai นิมมานรติ or นิรมาณรติ) The world of devas "delighting in their creations" – The devas of this world are capable of making any appearance [form] to please themselves. The lord of this world is called Sunirmita (Pāli Sunimmita), whose wife is the rebirth of Visākhā, formerly the chief of the upāsikās (female lay devotees) of the Buddha. The beings of this world are 3,750 feet (1,140 meters) tall and live for 2,304,000,000 years (as reckoned by the defunct Sarvāstivāda Buddhist tradition). The height of this world is 640 yojanas (one yojana = 7 miles) above the Earth.
Tuṣita तुषित or Tushita तुसित (Tibetan དགའ་ལྡན་, Wylie dga' ldan, Vietnamese Trời Đâu Suất, Chinese 兜率天, Japanese Tosotsu-ten, Burmese တုသိတာ, Thai ดุสิต, ตุสิตา or ตุษิตา) – The world of "joyful" devas – This world is best known for being the world in which a bodhisattva lives before being reborn on the human plane. Until a few thousand years ago, the Bodhisattva of this world was Śvetaketu (Pāli Seta-ketu), who was then reborn as Prince Siddhārtha Gautama, who at 35 became the historical Buddha Śākyamuni; since then the current Bodhisattva has been Nātha (Nātha-deva), who will be reborn as Ajita and will become the Buddha Maitreya (Pāli Metteyya). While this bodhisattva is the foremost of the dwellers in Tuṣita, the ruler of this world is another deva named Santuṣita (Pāli Santusita). The beings of this world are 3,000 feet (910 m) tall and live for 576,000,000 years (Sarvāstivāda tradition). The height of this world is 320 yojanas above the Earth.
Yāma याम (Tibetan འཐབ་བྲལ་, Wylie 'thab bral, Vietnamese Trời Dạ Ma, Chinese 夜摩天, Japanese Yama-ten, Burmese ယာမာ. Thai ยามา) Sometimes called the "celestial world without fighting" because it is the lowest of the Sensual Realm heavens to be physically separated from the tumults of the earthly world. These devas live in the air (sky), free of all difficulties. Its ruler is the deva Suyāma; according to some, his wife is the rebirth of Sirimā, a courtesan of Rājagṛiha, who at the time of the Buddha was generous to the monastics, which earned her tremendous merit (punya).
