Post Malone: Penis tattoo goes too far

Post Malone tattooed my face

Forehead is not going far enough.
(Steveo, Summer 2024) I’m not an attention 'hore, more an attention pimp. Just ask Johnny Knoxville. I’ve had this tattoo idea for a long time, before the movie Jackass, and it finally happened (but only after the movie because Johnny chickened out and wouldn’t let me do it on camera for our MTV film). I told Post Malone to tattoo a dick on my forehead, giving penis tattooing a whole new meaning. You thought a Prince Albert was bad. At least that's hidden. It wasn't my first bad tattoo idea:

Ha ha, he paid me to put it there. What a dumb F
"Getting dumb, regrettable tattoos has been a hobby of mine for decades, and many of them arguably went too far. One, in particular, was such an unbelievable disasterpiece, I'm hereby asking you all for ideas to further transform it into something I can feel really good about. Please check out the video and leave your tattoo-cover-up suggestions in the comment section. Thanks!"- Steve-O, July 2019.

This is no joke! Well, it's kind of funny. Use condoms - Jackass too hot for MTV, so it goes Hollywood

It's not gay if...whatcha say?!
Evidence of explicit genital male representations [d*ck drawings?] have been found in "art" made in Europe approximately 11,000 to 38,000 years ago.

However, the primitive meaning of genital ornamentation is not clearly defined (Phallic Decoration in Paleolithic Art: Genital Scarification, Piercing and Tattoos | Journal of Urology). More: wiki

Hawk Tuah Girl sings, OnlyFans, farts in jars?

The woman behind the viral Hawk Tuah meme speaks out for the first time
(Plan Bri Uncut) July 1, 2024: Haliey Welch has taken the internet by storm these past few weeks over a street interview that went mega viral. No one could find her, but Brianna Lapaglia of Plan Bri Uncut sat down with her and Hawk Tuah Jr. (drunk friend Chelsea) and asked all the questions the internet has been dying to know. She's a cowgirl Southerner from Tennessee but not a fan of Trump?

I say funny things. Everything they say about me is wrong. (Hawk Tuah Girl - EntertainPulse)

‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ addresses OnlyFans rumors as viral infamy keeps skyrocketing
(Page Six) July 4, 2024: Starved-for-sex Americans just can't get enough of sexy Southerner. “Hawk Tuah Girl” (Hailey Welch), the young woman who shot to online superstardom thanks to an X-rated on-the-street interview, has shot down widespread calls for her to join OnlyFans (so everyone can see her naked) — even as her viral fame continues to skyrocket.

Fart in a jar for us?

We love her more than you!
Hailey Welch, 22, ruled out joining the racy (degrading) website on Wednesday as she called on her newfound fans to quit pestering her for the account details.

“Stop asking me about the link in bio for my OnlyFans,” Welch said in a clip posted on her Instagram. “I don’t have an OnlyFans, and there’ll never be an OnlyFans. I just make funny jokes; that’s all I do.” Read more at nypost.com...

Kathy Griffin's disastrous face work (cartoon)

Entertainment Tonight, Aug. 29, 2023; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly COMMENTARY

Kathy Griffin shares SHOCKING results of getting lips tattooed after getting cancelled for Trump stunt
(Entertainment Tonight) Kathy Griffin undergoes another cosmetic procedure on top of other plastic surgery that has not gone so well. In a YouTube video, the comedian documents the process of getting her lips tattooed and shares the offensive results.

Plastic Surgery Disasters (Dead Kennedys)
Early on ginger stand up Kathy Griffin played herself on Seinfeld. It was funny because Larry David must have told her, "Just be yourself." So she begins by doting on unfunny Jerry, which offends him. When he asks her to knock it off, she turns on him to hilarious effect. She goes on an Ant-Jerry Comedy Campaign, which ends up being a hit. (I started to understand the show about then, realizing there was no way Jerry Seinfeld was writing it. George Costanza is the funniest because he's the most neurotic, Cosmo Kramer is comic relief because he's a nut, and even Newman is deviously subversive, and who knows what to say about the Catholic character Elaine).

Our favorite ginger, a Lyrian-human hybrid.
One got a real glimpse at the motormouthing horror that is Ginger Griffin, but she was pleasant enough appearance-wise, like a commercial model for kitchen wax or some such. Most TV models are redheads though they represent only a fraction of the human population. But without makeup, Griffin can hardly be counted among the humans. What planet are those genes from? And those lips, those hips, aarrgh, holy Molly Malone, they're all as nothing compared to the gob. Good gosh, we thought she was cancelled for insulting fellow freak Trump. Guess our society is less forgiving to women.

How can I overcome maddening sexual lust?

Dhr. Seven, Amber Larson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly via Sayalay Susila (sayalaysusila.net)

Tiger Girl with full Japanese back tattoo or irezumi (Arisu Nomura/imageof.net)

Question: How can I overcome sexual lust, which is recurring again and again despite experiencing progressive calmness in my meditation?

Answer: Contemplate this fathom-long body.  And develop the jhanas, the absorptions, to overcome maddening sensual cravings.
Shorter Sutra on the Aggregate of Distress
Wisdom Quarterly version, Cula-dukkha-kkhandha Sutta (MN 14)
Ssshh, don't talk or think about "cookies."
Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was staying among the Sakyans at Kapilavatthu in the Banyan Park [Afghanistan]. Then Mahānāma (3) the Sakyan [the Buddha's cousin, which the Commentary claims was already a once-returner when this discourse was delivered] went to the Blessed One.

Arriving he bowed, sat respectfully to one side, and said: "Venerable sir, for a long time now I have understood the Dharma taught by the Blessed One in this way: 'Greed is a defilement of the mind/heart; aversion is a defilement; delusion is a defilement.'

Sexual craving is like a jungle thicket, hard to escape. A banyan park is better (Kiran Gopi)

The Buddha (ArunHaridharshan/flickr)
"Yet, even though I understand the Dharma taught by the Blessed One in this way, there are still times when the mental/heart states of greed, aversion, and delusion invade my mind/heart and remain.

"The thought occurs to me: What within me is as yet unabandoned so that there are times when these invade my heart/mind and remain?"

"Mahanama, that very [greed, hatred, and delusion] is what is as yet unabandoned by you so that there are times when they invade your heart/mind and remain.
  • NOTE: Previously mistranslated, the point of this sentence is that the mental states that invade Mahanama's mind/heart are precisely the ones he has yet to abandon. In practical terms, this means he does not have to look for another quality lurking behind them but, instead, can focus attention on abandoning these states directly whenever they arise. The remainder of the discourse gives a lesson on how craving, aversion, and delusion can be abandoned by understanding the object on which they most frequently focus: sensuality (Ven. Thanissaro).
If fat is sexy, is fatter sexier?
"For if that were abandoned by you, you would not live the household life and would not partake of sensuality. It is because it yet remains unabandoned by you that you live the household life and partake of sensuality.

"Even though a disciple of the noble ones has clearly seen as it actually is with right view that sensuality is very disappointing, associated with much despair and great drawbacks, nevertheless -- if one has not attained a rapture (piti) and supersensual pleasure [sukha, both associated with the first and second absorptions] apart from the ordinary five sense strands, apart from unskillful mental states, or something more peaceful than that [any attainments beyond the second absorption] -- one can be tempted by sensuality.

Paris (Bryan1974/flickr.com)
"But when one has clearly seen as it actually is with right view that sensuality is very disappointing, associated with much despair and great drawbacks, and one has attained a rapture and supersensual pleasure apart from the ordinary five sense strands, apart from unskillful mental states or something even more peaceful than that, one can no longer be tempted by sensuality.

"I, too -- before enlightenment, when still an unawakened bodhisattva -- saw as it actually was with right view that sensuality is very disappointing, associated with much despair and great drawbacks. But as long as I had not attained a rapture and supersensual pleasure apart from the ordinary five sense strands, apart from unskillful mental states, or something even more peaceful than that, I did not claim that I could avoid being tempted by sensuality.

"But when I saw as it actually was with right view...I claimed that I could avoid being tempted by sensuality."

Why? The Five Hindrances
The Five Hindrances (nīvarana) or "obstacles to enlightenment" make one blind, whereas the Seven Factors of Enlightenment (bojjhangas) give rise to internal light and wisdom (S.v.97f.). The "Discourse on the Hindrances" points out how the methodical development of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness (satipatthānas), when practiced and brought to culmination, rid one of the Five Hindrances (A.iv.457f.).

Music and Tattoo Ink (Musink Festival)

MusInk.org; Wisdom Quarterly

It's time to do it, get inked up with a massive Siddhartha on one arm, Kwan Yin on the other. The two best known bodhisattvas ought to bring some luck.

What better place than the 6th Annual Musink Fest, a day of old skool punk music (including T.S.O.L.) and needles spouting India ink?

Protective ink? (Buddhisttattoo.org)
If only some Khmer artists were going to be working their magic, an ancient Sanskrit and/or Khmer script might be better to attract Siri the Goddess of Good Fortune.

Some religions, one in particular, forbid tattooing. While it is not encouraged in civilized society anywhere, it is increasingly tolerated and even applauded. In societies still connected to their shaman roots (including Ice Age Europe as evidenced on the Ice Man's body), it is encouraged and even mandatory some times.

There is little sense in following fads. What will be more embarrassing than changing in a public dressing room to reveal yet another "tr-mp st-mp"?

If we are to dive, let us dive deep and dive well. Do it, if you do it, right. Don't "just" do it, like Nike says. It is easy to mindlessly follow. Look around: Everyone is following.

LYRICS: "I'M TIRED OF LIFE" (T.S.O.L.)
I'm tired of looking (It's not in my vision)
I'm tired of seeing (Don't wanna see this)
I'm tired of hearing (Don't tell me your S)
I'm tired of being (So why am I here?)
I'm tired of life (And all of its jokes)
Imaginary lines (To fool the fools)
Imaginary rules (To live your life by)
And all the world's fooled

Life is so easy when you're told what to doWhere to work and how to be you
But the jokes wears off and you're still laughing
Caught in your own trap and you're all happy

Too stupid to know it (Just try and use your head)
Too stupid to care (You've all been fooled)
Just one voice screaming (Is there really a point?)
Just one in a million (A little speck of flesh)
Who's gonna hear it (Scream till you die)
Who's gonna know it (Your conscience, your mind)
Who even cares (No one but yourself)
It's hopeless (You're hopeless)

Because of the process, because of the system,
because you're still laughing, because you don't listen
Because of the process, because of the system,
because you're still laughing, because you don't listen.

Hippies: Coachella, OLA, Dragon Tat (video)

Wisdom Quarterly; Los Angeles; ; ClevverMusic
Back during the American Fall, along [Arab] Spring Street, the West Coast equivalent of Woodstock took place. Opinion differs as to whether that was on the lawn of City Hall or at post-Coachella raves throughout the city (Marc Martin/LA Times). SEE SLIDESHOW

Occupy L.A. From Nightfall to Daybreak
An uncommon mix of people have squeezed into a motley tent city on the 1.7-acre lawn surrounding City Hall: young anarchists, old Marxists, out-of-work blue-collar workers, lawyers, teachers, and train-hoppers -- along with a rowdier element looking to drink beer and take drugs.

The camp’s proximity to Skid Row has drawn a sizable contingent of [invited] homeless.

The protesters pride themselves on being leaderless, but signs of social stratification have emerged. A section north of City Hall has attracted more mature protesters -- many of whom are employed -- and has been dubbed “Westwood” by one camper.

A thin grassy strip west of City Hall near the porta-potties, where homeless people congregate, is “Skid Row,” the camper added.

Coachella 2012 doubles size: Twin Weekends

Tickets are on sale now. At $285, get ready to go into more debt than Xmas shopping. The lineup for Coachella 2012 is out and Radiohead, David Guetta, the Buzzcocks, Dr. Dre, and Cat Power are surprises. It will be hard to organize a flash mob meditation now that the fest has grown 100% due to all the counterfeit tickets last year. It might be better to grow up, save up, and head for Burning Man instead.

Our Dharma Tattoos

Wisdom Quarterly; VanishingTattoos; Buddhist Art News; Wildmind.com

Americans love the Dharma. We may not understand it fully, but we are drawn to what we think we understand. How we express our affinity differs radically between Anglo and Asian worlds, the anachronistic Occident and Orient.

Asian Buddhists get tattoo but not as art. Many serve a "magical" purpose; they do not advertise affiliation so much as serve a perceived protective function by incorporating mantras (spells), sacred geometry, and other supernatural elements to expressly ward off inimical spirits and invite blessings.

Tattooed youth in the East are taking their cue from the West. Old style tattooing were largely a poor, rural phenomenon in Cambodia, Thailand, Bali, and Japan. In Japan, until recently, the worst thing one could do was get a tattoo. It was tantamount to becoming a pirate or convict.

Jews used to be banned from traditional internment for anti-biblical body modification, which seems to have stopped no one from getting tattoos.

Why do we emblazon the Buddha, Kwan Yin (Kannon), Dharma wheels, lotuses, Zen iconography, and Sanskrit or Tibetan lettering on our own personal canvas?
  • Roshi Albrizzee (PasaDharma.org): Each piece is symbolic.
  • Gary Sanders (Against the Stream): I just got this sacred geometry on my face. It looks like a tear drop, but if you look closely. The others all have a story. They are from different times in my life. The Dharma is prominent and no accident. It means the most to me besides my family.
  • Yogini Lisa (Pasadena): I don't think they mean much to most people. They mean a lot to me. I research them. They are very symbolic. I could have gotten a rose, but I chose a lotus. It's very meaningful. I organize tattoo conventions, and I see people going with fads.
  • Kalyani Dev (meditation instructor): Mine meant more in the past. They were more of an impulse. I don't think about them much now.
  • Pat Macpherson: I used to be Zen. It was a look.

Vanishing Tattoos
VanishingTattoos.Blog
The spiritual emptiness of the modern world manifests in the obvious need for people to seek out meaning. This is apparent to anyone working in the tattoo industry. We see the surge in seekers looking for tattoos that have deep meaning.

Whether it is a tattoo with spiritual significance, a sacred symbol, or image of an Eastern deity -- forms have been used for millenia.

Seekers have religious, magickal, and sacred reasons. Bombarded by advertisements and cheap images, we are deadened. So it is not surprising that symbols, icons, and seals are sought out in art.

Many people are even beginning to suggest that the placement of sacred symbols on their bodies can help with illness or grief. More

Reclaiming the body with Buddhist tattoos
Marcus Hartsfield (BuddhistArtNews/Wildmind.com)
People often ask me why I get tattooed and why I have so many. I have 40 tattoos, including one that covers my entire back. I have also been branded and pierced in various locations. I started out with a small tattoo paid for by my best friend as a 25th birthday present. He said, “I want to give you something that you can never get rid of!” I continued to get tattoos regularly, a couple times a year and at one point every six weeks. For many years, I was not conscious of any particular reason for being continually tattooed. I liked how they looked; I actually liked the pain and the feeling of being tattooed. When I was first tattooed, they were not so trendy... More
