The new Oliver Stone movie is based on the real-life of world-famous whistleblower Edward Snowden, American hero living in exile in Russia because the Bush and Obama administrations love nothing more than killing the messenger when the messenger is blowing the whistle on them.

In a world where nothing on the computer is private, where every post (whether marked "private" or not) is being searched and viewed by the NSA (that filters the Internet and smartphones across the world) and the FBI through their Facebook and the CIA and its Google, only one man can tell the world before it's too late.

We're serious actors but we like to goof around in front of the White House (The Wrap)

We're the all-American couple living in Russia because our own government hates us.

.
Edward Snowden is that man. And civil liberties and personal privacy still mean something to someone. Come to the Arclight Hollywood tonight to ask him about it, as "Snowden" goes live from a secret location in Dictator Vladimir Putin's Russia.

Ironically, it's the last bastion of freedom left for our hypocritical and hijacked United States. Snowden -- like Chelsea Bradley Manning -- is a hero of the highest order, and their country hates them for it.

Who's side are you on, Freedom or Security, Liberty or Conformity? Anyone who sells liberty for security ends up with neither, as one of the country's founder warned us.

The Academy Award winning "CitizenFour" was neither about Snowden the man or what he did, only how he pulled it off. Oliver Stone dramatically humanizes the figure at the center of the controversy and does much more to expose what Snowden was trying to expose in the first place.
