LIVE TRIAL: Trump's religious cult (video)

LIVE: Traitor Trump's Senate impeachment trial
(NBC News) Watch live coverage of former Pres. Trump's impeachment trial as the Senate, having voted yesterday (2/9/21) that he can be tried, considers whether to convict and hold him responsible for crimes caught on tape and on Senate security cameras and rightwing rioters' cell phones.

What? I'm just a citizen.
The redneck "Capitol riots" were organized by then Pres. Trump and partisan supporters, and they were incited and defended by Trump as his last bid to stay in power after losing the vote (or having it stolen from him by a corrupt electoral process put in place by Republicans Pres. Bush and VP Cheney, according to Greg Palast and other journalist-investigators and whistleblowers).

Impeachment managers make powerful case against Trump to open trial: A Closer Look
(Late Night with Seth Meyers, Feb. 9, 2021) Meyers takes a closer look at Ex-Pres. Trump’s second impeachment trial, where House impeachment managers laid out powerful evidence of his guilt while most Republican senators had no interest in holding him accountable.

Is the Trump presidency a religious cult?
Steven Hassan, a leading cult expert, explains HOW this president uses mind control.
.
(Big Think with Prof. Reza Aslan, 4/15/18) Are fundamentalist Christians a dangerous religious cult? Yes. What about Trump evangelists? Possibly.

The Cult of Trump (Steven Hassan)
Controversial author and religious scholar Professor Reza Aslan posits that President Don John Trump has much of his Republican evangelical fan-base believing he's been anointed by the God to become the president.

Never mind the Russian and Mercer election scandals, Trump's illicit affairs with porn stars, and unwarranted sexual acts and assaults towards women, or his inability to remember even a single Christian Bible verse when asked.

Evangelical Christians are abandoning their core moral beliefs to follow, as Prof. Reza suggests, someone who exhibits every trademark of a cult leader. And that should terrify anyone on either side of the political spectrum. Prof. Reza's latest book is God: A Human History.
