(Charlie Stoops) I’m a white man, and in school I’m taught that Dr. King was the man who had a dream for racial equality. He was, and I respected him for that. However, I was never taught that he was a socialist [who] acknowledged the underreported housing crisis, rising wealth inequality, and white backlash towards “radical” ideas. He wasn’t just a preacher, a leader of a movement, he was a man far ahead of his time who argued for a fundamental change of societal values. And that makes me respect him even more.

(Andre Thompson) The law can't change the heart, but it can restrain the heartless. So many great quotes he left us, the greatest orator ever. More
