Ancient Indian philosophy's hidden connection with theoretical physics, Part 3
What has Oppenheimer done again?
(Asangoham) July 28, 2023. In this exploration of the fascinating parallels between the ancient wisdom of Indian philosophy
and the groundbreaking theories of modern quantum physics, we have already navigated two
profound themes.
In Part 1, we delved into the intriguing concept of "emptiness," comparing
the ancient Buddhist and Indian philosophy's idea of shunyata with the quantum theory of
vacuum fluctuations and the idea that even "empty" space is not truly empty.
[EDITORIAL NOTE: But, of course, empty does not mean empty of all things. It is not "nothingness" as many mistakenly imagine and gloss; it means devoid of a self. There are aggregates, Five Aggregates or "heaps" in the case of human personality," but no abiding self though these heaps themselves cling to themselves as a kind of permanent self though they are falling away moment by moment.]
In Part 2, we probed into the theme of "interconnectedness" [interdependence], drawing parallels between Eastern philosophy's belief in the inherent interconnectedness of all phenomena and quantum
entanglement's demonstration of instantaneous connections between particles, irrespective of
distance.
As we progress to Part 3 of this series, we turn our attention towards another equally
compelling concept -- time.
We will explore the nature of time as conceived of in Buddhism and
Hinduism and compare these with the current understanding in theoretical physics.
This
exploration is not merely an intellectual pursuit but an attempt to grasp our place in the universe
and understand the nature of existence more deeply.
Embark with us on this voyage across millennia and disciplines as we unravel the essence of time and its striking conceptual convergence in Eastern philosophy and quantum physics.
In
doing so, we shall once again appreciate the timeless wisdom inherent in ancient thought and
its amazing resonance with cutting-edge theories of the contemporary scientific world.

What is a "hologram"? Here a hologram of the Buddha restores the one the CIA blew up along with Pakistan's ISI in formerly Buddhist Bamiyan, Afghanistan as a pretext for U.S. invasion/occupation.
Oxford physicist PROVES the universe isn't real: We live in a cosmic hologram
👉 ABOUT: Dr. Jude Currivan is a cosmologist, planetary healer, futurist, author, and co-founder of WholeWorld-View. She was previously one of the most senior business women in the UK, has a Master’s degree in physics from Oxford University, specializing in quantum physics and cosmology, and a Ph.D. in anthropological archaeology from the University of Reading, researching ancient cosmologies.
She has traveled to nearly 80 countries and worked with wisdom keepers from many traditions and her extensive experience and knowledge of world events, systems, and trends has led her to speak on transformational reforms in the UK, US, Europe, Japan, South Korea, and Australasia.
She is a life-long researcher into the scientific and experiential understanding of the nature of reality, integrating leading edge science, research into consciousness and universal wisdom teachings into a wholistic worldview.
She is the author of seven books, like the best-selling and Nautilus award-winning The Cosmic Hologram: In-formation at the Center of Creation (2017, Inner Traditions) and forthcoming The Story of Gaia: The Big Breath and the Evolutionary Journey of our Conscious Planet (Oct. 2022, Inner Traditions) and is a member of the Evolutionary Leaders Circle.
In 2017 she co-founded WholeWorld-View to communicate the emerging paradigm of unified reality and to serve the understanding, experiencing, and embodying of unity awareness to empower conscious evolution.
In 2022 she was awarded Integral City’s Meshworker of the Year.

(Business Insider) Time travel is theoretically possible, calculations show. But that doesn't mean one could change the past.
US already uses time travel (Andrew D. Basiago)
Time travel is possible based on the laws of physics, according to researchers.
But time travelers wouldn't be able to alter the past in a measurable way, they say.
And the future would essentially stay the same, according to the researchers.
Imagine one could hop into a time machine, press a button, and journey back to 2019, before the [plandemic] novel coronavirus made the leap from animals to humans [with the aid of "gain of function" research sponsored by the US military].
What if we could find and isolate patient zero? Theoretically, the COVID-19 pandemic wouldn't happen, right?
Not quite, because then future-you wouldn't have decided to time travel in the first place.
The ancient portals already exist for ogres.
[Except that there are timelines where it did happen. One can change the future by going into the past, on another timeline.]
For decades, physicists have been studying and debating versions of this paradox: If we could travel back in time and change the past, what would happen to the future?
A 2020 study offered a potential answer: Nothing [or the Mandela Effect].
"Events readjust around anything that could cause a paradox, so the paradox does not happen,"
Germain Tobar, the study's author previously told IFLScience.
Tobar's work, published in the peer-reviewed journal Classical and Quantum Gravity in September 2020, suggests that according to the rules of theoretical physics, anything we tried to change in the past would be corrected by subsequent events.
Put simply: It is theoretically possible to go back in time, but we couldn't change history [except that we have, according to such whistleblowers as attorney Andrew D. Basiago, so it is possible]. More
ST. PETERSBURG, Russia (UPI) - Grigory Perelman, the Russian math whiz who solved a century-old problem, said he refused a $1 million prize because he knows "how to control the universe."
Perelman, 43, of St. Petersburg told the Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda he had no reason to accept the $1 million prize the Clay Mathematics Institute of Cambridge, Massachussetts, offered him in 2010 for proving the Poincare conjecture, RIA Novosti reported Friday.
"Emptiness is everywhere and it can be calculated, which gives us a great opportunity... I know how to control the universe. So tell me, why should I run for a million?" Perelman said. More
Physics of the Impossible is a fascinating exploration of the science of the impossible — from time machines and force fields to invisibility cloaks and healing devices — revealing what can be done now and what technologies might be achievable decades or millennia into the future.

Recently reports of a laser array experiment to create temperatures much hotter than the sun were reported. Such an expensive experiment makes little sense -- until this physics principle is understood (see minute 1:30). Light bends time. It does so better than motion. And with the help of lasers...
High-Intensity Lasers that Curve Researchers defy the laws of physics by making a laser beam bend
Ultra-intense lasers hold much promise for improving scientific tools such as laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), and deepening researchers' under-standing of atomic, molecular, optical, and plasma physics. The enormous intensity of these lasers (attributed to the brief but powerful pulses of energy they emit), however, makes it difficult for scientists to fully characterize and understand them.
Researchers at the University of Arizona in Tucson (U.A.) and the University of Central Florida in Orlando (U.C.F.) report in Science this week that they have found a way to bend a high-intensity pulsed laser beam, a breakthrough they are hoping will help them better understand how ultra-intense laser pulses travel through the air and find potential new uses for the technology.
"People expect lasers to do certain things, like propagate in a straight line," says lead researcher Pavel Polynkin, an associate research professor at U.A.'s College of Optical Sciences. "The fact that a laser beam actually curves is quite unusual." More>>

After more than a decade of work and $US3.5 billion ($AU5.2 billion), US engineers have completed the world's most powerful laser, capable of simulating the energy force of a hydrogen bomb and the sun itself.
The US Energy Department will announce today that it has officially certified the National Ignition Facility at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, clearing the way for a series of experiments over the next year that eventually is hoped will mimic the heat and pressure found at the centre of the sun.
The facility, the size of a football field, comprises of 192 separate laser beams, each travelling 300m in a one-thousandth of a second to converge simultaneously on a target the size of a pencil eraser.
While the NIF laser is expected to be used for a wide range of high-energy and high-density physics experiments, its primary purpose is to help government physicists... More>>
