I'd love to change the world, but... (video)

LYRICS: "I’d Love to Change the World"
Everywhere is
Freaks and hairies
Dykes and fairies
Tell me, where is sanity?

Tax the rich
Feed the poor
Till there are no
Rich no more

I'd love to change the world
But I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you

Keeps on breeding
Nation bleeding
Still more feeding economy

Life is funny
Skies are sunny
Bees make honey
Who needs money? No, not poor me
World pollution
Is no solution

It's black and white
Rich or poor
Them and us
Stop the war
Via “I'd Love To Change The World” from Ten Years After’s album A Space in Time was written by guitarist/singer Alvin Lee. Due to its political lyrics, the song appealed to peaceniks and the younger generation. This led to it being a Top 40 hit on AM and FM simultaneously. It was psychedelic/hard rock released on Oct. 18, 1971.
