Skies were mostly clear, but low clouds on the eastern horizon obscured the sunrise.
Even so, enough light filtered through the roof box for the effect to be visible. As the clouds lifted later in the morning, visitors lined up for a chance to enter the sacred chamber. More
The best place to be this morning is in the former Khmer Empire, modern Cambodia, in the center of one of the largest ancient cities in the world at the Buddhist-Hindu temple at the center of it, Angkor Wat. (Wat means monastery complex or vihara).
The second-best place to be is in the middle of New York City at the holy site of "Manhattanhenge" where signs of intelligent life must have built a megastructure aligned with the astronomical objects in the visible sky, possibly with extraterrestrial assistance.

Some say massive structures like the "Empire State" Building were in fact pre-Mud Flood architectural feats being taken credit for by modern builders with widely circulated photos of men eating lunch in precarious worksites as if that were all the proof needed.
LONDON, England — As the sun rose Saturday on the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, a crowd erupted in cheers at Stonehenge where the ancient monument in southern England has clocked the summer solstice over thousands of years.
The orange ball crested the northeast horizon behind the Heel Stone, the entrance to the stone circle, and shone its beam of light into the center of one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments.
The solstice is one of the few occasions each year when visitors are allowed to walk among the stones, which are otherwise fenced off.
What did the ancients know and practice?
The miracle of Newgrange, Ireland, eclipses Stonehenge (likeAdam's Calendar, Africa)...so that's why we've never heard of it. Newgrange (Irish Sí an Bhrú [1]) is a prehistoric monument in County Meath, Ireland, placed on a rise overlooking the River Boyne, five miles (8 km) west of the town of Drogheda [2]. It is an exceptionally grand passage tomb built during the Neolithic Period, around 3100 BC [3], making it older than Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids. Newgrange is the main monument in the Brú na Bóinne complex, a World Heritage Site that also includes the passage tombs of Knowth and Dowth, as well as other henges, burial mounds [which are a kind of stupa], and standing stones [3]. Newgrange consists of a large circular mound with an inner stone passageway and cruciform chamber More
The crowd gathered before dawn at the World Heritage Site to mark the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, beating the heat during the U.K.'s first amber heat-health alert issued since September 2023.
Temperatures later topped 91.4 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius) in Surrey, 80 miles (128 kilometers) east of Stonehenge, the hottest temperature recorded in the U.K. so far this year.
About 25,000 sun devotees (sun cult worshippers) and other revelers -- including Druids, pagans, hippies, locals, and tourists -- showed up, according to English Heritage which operates the site.
More than 400,000 others around the world watched a livestream. “This morning was a joyous and peaceful occasion with the most beautiful sunrise," said Richard Dewdney, head of operations at Stonehenge. “It is fantastic to see Stonehenge continuing to enchant and connect people.”
Stonehenge was built [and constantly re-adjusted] in stages 5,000 years ago on the flat lands of Salisbury Plain approximately 75 miles (120 kilometers) southwest of London.
The Sky People built mound-pyramids to the sun
[A few decades ago modern cranes and equipment were used to set up a pile of fallen stones, aligning them to their current positions; those photos were then forgotten, though they still exist, and everyone assumes ancient Druids built what is seen today 5,000 years ago before modern explorers stumbled onto the site. The walk from the carpark to the erected stones used to be lined with sandwich boards explaining the artificial evolution of the site with many adjustments over time, not one permanent setup millennia earlier.]
It's interesting that the most recent full moon was the most northerly Luna (Soma, Chandra) ever gets and that at this time it seems to pause in the sky, beckoning us to pause and reflect. Winter is like that, a time for rest and wise reflection. The light is reborn and continues to increase throughout the year. Urth (Bhumi, Tierra, Earth) has rhythms that though the Church has tried to obscure them are still there to notice and sync up with. The Moon is a clock and a calendar, the Sun a guide. There is rhythm to the seasons and an orderliness to Nature. If we ever pause to notice, we may see that things are okay. We have been made to worry by thinking and fretting, projecting into the future, but when we reflect on the now, everything is instantly okay. This is the meaning of mindfulness, to bring ourselves fully into the present. Things unfold. They work themselves out. We have our duties. And why would we be anywhere when we can be here now?
Ceremony takes place at Stonehenge to mark winter solstice 2024: Watch live
(Sky News) Streamed live. Happy first day of winter. Thousands of people are celebrating the winter solstice, one of the rare occasions visitors can touch the great stones, at Stonehenge.
It means from tomorrow (Dec. 22), days will start to get a little longer again. #Stonehenge #Winter #Sunrise
The Irish Winter Solstice: A Journey through Time and Spirituality
(𝕴𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖍 𝕻𝖆𝖌𝖆𝖓 𝕮𝖔𝖗𝕶) Premiered Dec. 7, 2024: BLARNEY ROAD The Winter Solstice, marking the shortest day and longest night of the year, has held profound significance for the people of Ireland for millennia. This pivotal moment in the solar calendar was a time of great anticipation and reverence for early societies who lived in harmony with the natural world. In Ireland, this relationship with the solstice is perhaps most vividly preserved in the ancient monuments built to honor it, such as Newgrange in the Boyne Valley. These structures, with their precise alignments to the sun, reveal the extraordinary astronomical knowledge and spiritual depth of Ireland’s early inhabitants. For these ancient communities, the solstice symbolized the cyclical nature of life, marking the transition from darkness to light and the promise of renewal in the year ahead. Over time, this observance evolved, with Bronze Age and Iron Age societies incorporating the event into their spiritual and agricultural practices, while stone circles like Drombeg in County Cork and Dromnagorteen at the Cork/Kerry border continued to highlight the connection between humanity and the cosmos. The Winter Solstice is not just an ancient relic of the past; it is a living tradition that has woven itself into the fabric of Irish culture, spirituality, and identity, remaining an awe-inspiring moment of cosmic alignment and human reflection.
(End Times Productions) The spirit realms are spooky, full of the dead and various other restless and unclean spirits. Devils (maras), demons (yakkhas), fallen angels (asuras), and spiritual warfare, these are scary subjects for conspiracy theory spewing uncles and church Karens. But there's truth to it. Here is a segment of an interview with Ruzz Dizdar about his book The Black Awakening.

Ancient Aliens: Interstellar PORTALS led to Stonehenge?!
(HISTORY)
Oct. 2, 2024: A shocking DNA study released in 2018 reveals that the original builders of Stonehenge mysteriously vanished [from the face of the earth]. See more in Season 14, Episode 17, "The Secrets of Stonehenge." Ancient Aliens explores the controversial theory that extraterrestrials have visited Earth for millions of years.
Nick Pearce analyzes Neolithic standing stones in Orkney
Remarkable new scientific research at Stonehenge has revealed an extraordinary new mystery.
Mineralogical tests on the massive six-tonne stone at the heart of the monument show that this central rock, known as the altar stone, was brought to Stonehenge from the far north of Scotland.
[The greatest disappointment when visiting Stonehenge is that there is a sign along the walkway from the car park to the stones that explains that the stones were adjusted for millennia. So it is not as if some group, human or extraterrestrial, knew what it was meant to be and do (as a calendar) and did it. It has been adjusted all along, perhaps never more than about 50 years ago when cranes and modern equipment were brought in to lift fallen stones and place them just so. What we have today is what was recently created from stones that had laid around in a fallen state for who knows how long. The use of cranes was not a secret when it was happening, but it sure seems to be one now. Most people have no idea of the modern interference.]
The altar stone is arguably the most ritually important stone in Stonehenge, because it is the rock that marks the intersection of the prehistoric temple’s two most important celestial alignments – the winter solstice sunrise to summer solstice sunset alignment, and the summer solstice sunrise to winter solstice sunset alignment.
It’s already known that some of the monument’s smaller stones were brought to the site from southwest Wales, around 120 miles away. But moving a rock from northern mainland Scotland or Orkney would have involved a journey of well over 500 miles.
The discovery has huge implications and is likely to transform archaeologists’ perceptions around key aspects of life in prehistoric Britain.
Up to now, most scholars have assumed that British Neolithic society was exclusively local or regional (based on tribal, clan or similar identities), but the newly discovered Stonehenge-Scotland link, when combined with the Welsh origin of some of the Stonehenge stones, suggests that there might also have been a pan-British aspect to how Neolithic Britons lived.

Protest the environment with cornstarch.
The newly revealed Scottish link implies that 4,500 years ago, there was already at least some political and religious cooperation across Britain. That’s because the Neolithic people who transported the six-tonne rock from northern Scotland or Orkney to southern England must have known that Stonehenge existed, that it was being expanded, and precisely what shape and size of giant rock was required.

This Day in History: Druid Remembrance Day
Celtic Druid, shaman, seer
On March 17th, we will not be celebrating someone greatly responsible for the cultural genocide of the Celtic pagans and Druids.
Instead, it's more appropriate to celebrate the life and culture of the Druids who were wiped out during Saint Patrick's missionary days.
Make sure to note that this was a "cultural genocide." So it doesn't mean Padraig went around killing all the Druids. Instead, he convinced the kings and leaders of the time to convert to a foreign religion, which meant no one needed Druids anymore.
WHO WERE THE DRUIDS?
Knowledge keeper
Ever since the Indo-European days, Druids were the keepers of the traditional laws, storytellers, wandering poets, priests, the philosophers of the time, astronomers, and king makers.
The name Druid means something like the Sanskrit rishi, "to see" (a "seer," "visionary"). They were the intermediaries connecting the people and the gods.
The word shaman (Buddhist Sanskrit shramana) is related to seer, meaning "one who sees in the dark."
They were the most important people of their time, roughly between 4500 BCE (before common era) to 400 CE.
Secret architecture of the Druids
The Celts, along with their Druids or seers, emigrated from Central Europe west to the British Isles and Ireland, taking their rich culture, art, and traditions with them. The ancient tales of their ancestors and their gods helped the Celts remain a fearless people.
Fearless people are hard to control.
Thankfully, the Romans did not occupy Ireland, but their new imperial faith [and their worship of Ceasar's Messiah] did. It was an imposed faith that was used to bring all nations and cultures under the rule of one God.
WHO WAS "SAINT" PATRICK?
Rome's Gay Mafia the Vatican, with its cardinals, bishops and pope, rule the Catholic world.
Newgrange green, Ireland (Getty/Irish Central)
Here are two fun facts about St. Paddy.
He wasn't Irish but rather a Roman Brit.
He is mostly known for driving the snakes out of Ireland, never mind that there have never been any snakes in Ireland.
"Snakes" seems to have been a metaphor for pagans, because he wanted everyone to view them as evil for their refusal to following the new faith.
The conversions made the old Celtic faith irrelevant. The Romans eventually got rid of the Druids along with the culture of the people. Over time Druids ceased to exist.
Written records were uncommon back then. The Druids were not allowed to write down their knowledge.
So all of that cultural history was lost. It had been recorded in the minds of the Druids, so once they were eradicated, their history was too.
Becoming a Druid involved a lifetime of study and dedication. So celebrating the Druids and their rich history is a much better way to celebrate Celtic pride than worshiping St. Patrick. Skål. Source
We're all Neo-Pagans and modern Druids, man, and Stonehenge is our Mecca (wiki).
Forget Old Stonehenge. Let's go to Newgrange, Ireland each solstice and equinox (Njp finn).

Winter also hits the mountains of Los Angeles
The winter solstice, also called the hibernal solstice (or the best time to hibernate), is said to occur when either of Earth's poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the local sun.
This happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere (Northern and Southern). For each hemisphere, the winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, when the sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky [7].
Each polar region experiences continuous darkness or twilight around its winter solstice.
This solstice occurs during the hemisphere's winter.
In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the December solstice (usually Dec. 21 or 22) and in the Southern Hemisphere, this is the June solstice (usually June 20 or 21).
Although the winter solstice itself lasts only a moment, the term also refers to the day on which it occurs.
Stonehenge was rearranged to what we see
The term midwinter (which would seem to mean "middle of the winter") is also used synonymously with the winter solstice, although it carries other meanings as well.
Traditionally, in many temperate regions, the winter solstice is seen as the middle of winter, though today in some countries and calendars it is seen as the beginning of winter.
Other names are the "extreme of winter" (Dongzhi) or the "shortest day." More: winter solstice
What if Earth is flat like Eric Dubay PROVES and Buddhist, Chirstian, Hindu cosmologies state?
"Proves"?! When did Eric Dubay (ericdubay.com) "prove" the earth was flat? - He gave 200 proofs that are yet to be debunked. But he's persona non grata and the whole topic is verboten.
It's so bad that a government agency paid social media influencers on YouTube and elsewhere to make popular videos to "debunk" the rising flat earth movement. They can't deal with actual evidence presented by Dubay, so they go after strawmen and silly assumptions about what living on a flat disk would be like, never mind the evidence of their own senses and how water behaves and how engineers building railroad tracks and pilot flying planes treat the surface of this platform or plane. In fact, the debunkers do such a poor job that it remains a truism that the best way to become a flat earther is to try to debunk the actual evidence, the actual proof that we are not on a spinning ball of the dimensions claimed by popular science. (We might be on a much bigger ball with more continents; that's not impossible, but what's certain is that we are being lied to and deceived by NASA and ESA and other government entities. Why is anyone's guess. Let's stick to the proof. Why will no one deal with that?
The Forbidden Archeologist Michael Cremo: "Modern humans" (Homo sapiens sapiens) are super ancient to the tune of about 300 million years old, out-of-place archeological artifacts show
The 31 Planes of Existence (we are reborn in)
It goes beyond the shape of the planet to the distance of things like our moon, the cause of eclipses (which in Buddhist, Vedic, Hindu, and Jain cosmologies is due to another planetary body called Rahu), the age of things as well as the shape of space and our multiverse (that are plentiful and globular like bubbles in space), with cosmic time being measured in kalpas or aeons, a great aeon (mahakalpa) being, according to the Buddha, the length of time it would take for an unbroken piece of granite, one mile high and one mile long, to be ground down and eroded away if a bird came once a year and brushed its beak on it while holding a fine muslin cloth. Sooner would that block of perfect granite be worn away, and still a kalpa would not have elapsed. It's staggering. In that length of time many things can happen, as things evolve, devolve, become chaotic, repeat. This is the universe we live in, which is quite like the other universes or world systems (cakkavalas) within them.
What about “science”? Let's do science, proposing a thesis and advancing evidence
(Eric Dubay) Quoting Terra Firma by David Wardlaw Scott, “The system of the Universe, as taught by Modern Astronomers, being founded entirely on theory, for the truth of which they are unable to advance one single real proof, they have entrenched themselves in a conspiracy of silence, and decline to answer any objections which may be made to their hypotheses…
Spiritual Science (Eric Dubay)
“Copernicus himself, who revived the theory of the heathen philosopher Pythagoras, and his great exponent Sir Isaac Newton, confessed that their system of a revolving Earth was only a possibility, and could not be proved by facts.
“It is only their followers who have decorated it with the name of an ‘exact science,’ yea, according to them, ‘the most exact of all the sciences.’
“Yet one Astronomer Royal for England once said, speaking of the motion of the whole Solar system: ‘The matter is left in a most delightful state of uncertainty, and I shall be very glad if any one can help me out of it.’
“What a very sad position for an ‘exact science’ to be in is this!” More
But I don't want the earth to be flat! I don't want to fall off!
Then, in your mind, let it be the way someone else explained it to you. Whatever shape it is, we are not falling off. (What would be the source of gravity pulling us down off the plane into space below be?) Doesn't everybody want the Truth, the reality, the knowing-and-seeing of things as they actually are (objectively if possible or knowledge that all we'll ever get is subjective)? We prefer Truth with a capital t, wisdom, knowing, holding onto kindness and compassion. The combination is the way to awakening (bodhi).
Thank you, Eric Dubay, for standing up to the powers-that-be with a dissenting opinion and PROOF for it. That's the ultimate thing. The rest of the world can put their faith in NASA and the CIA and newspapers like the USSR's Pravda.
What the Buddha Taught
Would the Buddha bother with the shape of the world? It's not related to our enlightenment, so it's not crucial or worth spending too much time on. What is the origin of the sea? Is the universe (multiverse) finite or infinite? Is it the same person who is reborn or a different one? How will this karma (action) work itself out in terms of karmic-results? These are imponderable questions not conducive to enlightenment, so set them aside. Some questions conduce to awakening, some do not. Which ones do? What is dukkha, its cause, its end, the way to its end? Those are wise questions that do lead to awakening. Pursue those.
