America First: Trump's $40 bil to Argentina

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, 3rd Edition
Confessions of an Economic Hit Man (3rd ed)
Author, whistleblower John Perkins has 4.6 out of 5 stars with 668 ratings for this blockbuster and Los Angeles Times Bestseller.

How do we stop the unrelenting evolution of the economic hit man strategy and China’s takeover? The riveting third edition of this New York Times bestseller
  • blows the whistle on China’s economic hit man (EHM) strategy,
  • exposes corruption on an international scale, and
  • offers much-needed solutions for curing the degenerative Death Economy.
In this shocking exposé, former EHM John Perkins gives an insider view into the corrupt system that cheats and strong-arms countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars and ultimately causes staggering income inequality and ecological devastation.

EHMs are highly paid professionals who use development loans to saddle countries with huge debts and force them to serve US interests.

Now, a new EHM wave is infecting the world, and at the peak of the devastation sits China, a newly dominant economic power, with its own insidious version of the US EHM blueprint.

Twelve explosive new chapters detail the allure, exploitation, and wreckage of China’s EHM strategy in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

If allowed to continue its rampage, the EHM strategy—whether executed by the United States or China—will destroy life as we know it.

However, all is not lost. Perkins offers a plan for transforming this system that places profits above all into a Life Economy that restores the earth. He inspires readers to take actions toward a new era of global cooperation that will end the United States’s and China’s EHM strategies for good. More

Invest in Elon Musk-free solar car: Aptera

Is this EV really a car? It only has three wheels and runs on solar power. It's a spaceship.
This Aptera EV is not yet a flying car but, like Icarus, it goes for the sun in a big way.
I may be losing money, but the government will give me more to replace whatever I lose.
.
Tesla EV electricity comes from burning fuels.
Yes, but does it fly? Electric vehicles (EVs) are growing. Bloomberg projects that electric vehicle sales will increase in one decade from 1.7 million vehicles in 2020 to 54 million by 2040. Aptera is looking to earn a significant portion of that growth.

Coal power is dirty. Mineral mining adds to dirty
Aptera was created from the ground up with one purpose in mind — energy efficiency. Its unique shape allows Aptera to slip through the air using 30% less energy than other electric and hybrid vehicles on the road today. That efficiency allows Aptera to have a much longer range than competitive electric vehicles, with a range up to 1,000 miles. Aptera (invest.aptera.us)

I got rich by working for the US gov't.
The real Tesla was ET smart.

War and Theft: Taking Ukraine’s Farmland

.
War and Theft: The Takeover of Ukraine’s Agricultural Land
War and Theft: Takeover of Land
War and Theft: The Takeover of Ukraine’s Agricultural Land
exposes the financial interests and the dynamics at play leading to further concentration of [rich farm]land [by already very rich oligarchs in Ukraine with the help of war-money supplies from the USA] and finance.

The total amount of land controlled by oligarchs, corrupt individuals, and large agribusinesses is over nine million hectares — exceeding 28 percent of Ukraine’s arable [farmable] land.

The largest landholders are a mix of Ukrainian oligarchs and foreign interests — mostly European and North American as well as the sovereign fund of Saudi Arabia.

Prominent US pension funds, foundations, and university endowments are invested through NCH Capital, a US-based private equity fund.

Several agribusinesses, still largely controlled by oligarchs, have opened up to Western banks and investment funds — including prominent ones such as Kopernik, BNP, or Vanguard — who now control part of their shares.

Most of the large landholders are substantially indebted to Western funds and institutions, notably the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank.

[U.S. funds corruption and weapons]

Western financing to Ukraine in recent years has been tied to a drastic structural adjustment program that has required austerity and privatization measures, including the creation of a land market for the sale of agricultural land.

Ukraine's Pres. Zelenskyy put the land reform into law in 2020 against the will of the vast majority of the population who feared it would exacerbate corruption and reinforce control by powerful interests in the agricultural sector.

Findings of the report concur with these concerns. While large landholders are securing massive financing from Western financial institutions, Ukrainian farmers — essential for ensuring domestic food supply — receive virtually no support.

With the land market in place, amidst high economic stress and war, this difference of treatment will lead to more land consolidation by large agribusinesses.

The report also sounds the alarm that Ukraine’s crippling debt is being used as a leverage by the financial institutions to drive post-war reconstruction towards further privatization and liberalization reforms in several sectors, including agriculture. Source

Genius Nikola Tesla explained (video)

Decoded, Al Jazeera English; The Life Guide; Pat Macpherson, S. Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Nikola Tesla explained | documentary
(The Life Guide) Nikola Tesla was a man ahead of his time. His advancements in electricity were radical, helping to usher in the modern age, with his influence seen in anything from X-rays to remote control.

What was so scary about Tesla’s ideas?

(Al Jazeera English) Decoded, Feb. 20, 2022. Did Nikola Tesla find the secret to unlimited free energy? Is there a plot (a "conspiracy") to hide his findings? Hollywood actor @amrwaked delves deep into Nikola Tesla and whether the genius inventor saw the Great Pyramid of Giza and other pyramids as power generators (Latin pyro-mid means "fire in the middle").

[EDITORIAL NOTE: Where did Tesla get his genius ideas and inspirations? Why don't documentarians go into that? Tesla explained it himself: They came from an intelligence on another planet that wanted to make this world better. Those beings telecommunicating with him came from an extraterrestrial world. They saw that this world fought wars for energy and money. But energy is free. Why fight for it? We fight for greed because, indeed, there are many free sources of energy. They are kept from us as soon as anyone tries to patent one. They cannot be allowed in a capitalist system.]

Tesla's World Wireless System had the potential to advance technology by a century, while also providing free energy to the globe. Unlike so many of his era, Tesla did not work for financial gain. Instead, he worked to advance humanity, and a capitalist system won't stand for that. At least its movers and shakers will not allow it; therefore, most of us will never hear of what he accomplished and what more he had in mind.

It is hardly surprising that a man so far ahead of his time has only found his place in the 21st century, an age shaped by his technological brilliance -- now that it has been worked into our profit-motive system and made to benefit private moguls.

"Peak oil" lie: gas market crashes (video)

Mike Maloney; Dylan Ratigan; Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
(The Jimmy Dore Show) Dylan Ratigan explains the fall of oil and collapse of the US economy.

Oil Armageddon: What will it mean?
Mike Maloney has a best-selling book (free at pages.goldsilver.com/freebook). Today, the world changed. In this special report he explains what "Oil Armageddon" means for the world, country, family, and your future. Buckle up. And thank you for sharing this video far and wide. Free newsletter? Go to goldsilver.com.

What is peak oil?
"Peak oil" is the theorized point in time when the maximum rate of extraction of toxic petroleum is reached, after which it is expected to enter terminal decline.

As of 2020, peak oil forecasts range from the early 2020s to the 2040s, depending on economics and how governments respond to global warming alarmism. It is often confused with oil depletion.

However, whereas depletion refers to a period of falling reserves and supply, PEAK OIL refers to the point of maximum production.

The concept of peak oil is often credited to geologist M. King Hubbert, whose 1956 paper first presented a formal theory. Peak oil occurs when the cost of oil extraction exceeds the price consumers will pay.
  • What's it called when, after the lie of scarcity is revealed, oil production outpaces consumer demand, consumption, or even ability to store the stuff out of the ground? Let's leave it in the ground. Of course, it's not our choice, is it? Corporations rule the world.
Most early analyses concentrated on increasing costs of extraction and assumed that demand would drive costs higher. More recent analyses concentrate on drop in demand as alternatives to oil become more attractive. More

Markets sink; tech, retail fall; Dow drops 600

There goes my easy retirement! (AP)
NEW YORK, USA - Stocks are skidding today (Tuesday, 11-20-18) as weak results from retailers and mounting losses for big technology companies push the market back into the red for the year.

Energy companies are slumping because of a 7 percent plunge in the price of oil. Crude is on track for its biggest loss in three years. Industrial companies are also dropping as the downward momentum in stocks carries into a second day.

Pull out of American stocks, quick! (AP)
The Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost 3.7 percent in the last two days, and the S&P 500 is off 3.4 percent.

The Nasdaq, heavily populated with technology stocks, is off close to 5 percent. As of 3 p.m., the S&P is down nearly 10 percent from the peak it reached in September.

Investors are measuring a number of headwinds and increasingly playing it safe. The global economy is showing signs of weakening, with the United States, China, and Europe all facing the rising threat of a slowdown, which can hurt demand for commodities such as oil and pose a threat to company profits.

Trade tensions between the U.S. and China appear to be getting worse instead of improving, contributing to the sell-off in tech stocks and multinational industrial companies.

Faced with these challenges, investors have lately turned to safer bets such as... More

The End of the Economy

Ananda weeping (sacredthangkas.com)
The end of the economy as we know it arrived today. Foreboding signs appeared two weeks ago as a preposterous $700 billion "corporate-welfare" bailout was proposed, miraculously failed on a vote, was retooled, and finally passed. Privatize the gains, socialize the losses. With a signature, president Bush officially made himself the "worst president ever" by signing the bailout he called for but could barely convince house Republicans to back. Then as the first trading day came and went (on Oct. 6, 2008) three days shy of the one year anniversary when the stock market hit its all time high of 14,164. Today Wall Street closed under 10,000 for the first time in four years. Today was also the biggest one day point drop (-800) -- although it was midday before the closing bell -- trumping last Monday's 777 point one day decline.

International markets tumbled on a credit tightening spree that ran through major economies. The Russian stock market had to suspend trading numerous times as it saw its biggest one day drop. The Chinese market, after recent protests that it was unaffected by the American mortgage and credit crises, saw a similarly precipitous drop. (Mortgage-backed securities that were trading for an estimated valuation lost value as defaults and foreclosures increased, which caused banks to tighten short term credit -- i.e., loaning to one another -- while the Bailout had no effect on declines).

In Europe, some currencies (e.g., the kroner) have already tanked. For an understanding of what the crisis is about and how and when it began, in addition to the failed bailout plan, listen to http://www.thisamericanlife.org/. For a more in-depth analysis of the problem, watch http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ (on fictional financial institutions such as the government-backed private bank called The "Federal" Reserve). For cheerful spin on the day's events, listen to http://www.marketplace.org/ (Public Radio). Former Lehman Brothers' CEO was cross examined in Washington for making 450 million while his bank failed. Tragically, this news is compounded by a six person murder suicide in Southern California stemming from investment declines and perceived financial ruin.
