America First: Trump's $40 bil to Argentina

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, 3rd Edition
Confessions of an Economic Hit Man (3rd ed)
Author, whistleblower John Perkins has 4.6 out of 5 stars with 668 ratings for this blockbuster and Los Angeles Times Bestseller.

How do we stop the unrelenting evolution of the economic hit man strategy and China’s takeover? The riveting third edition of this New York Times bestseller
  • blows the whistle on China’s economic hit man (EHM) strategy,
  • exposes corruption on an international scale, and
  • offers much-needed solutions for curing the degenerative Death Economy.
In this shocking exposé, former EHM John Perkins gives an insider view into the corrupt system that cheats and strong-arms countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars and ultimately causes staggering income inequality and ecological devastation.

EHMs are highly paid professionals who use development loans to saddle countries with huge debts and force them to serve US interests.

Now, a new EHM wave is infecting the world, and at the peak of the devastation sits China, a newly dominant economic power, with its own insidious version of the US EHM blueprint.

Twelve explosive new chapters detail the allure, exploitation, and wreckage of China’s EHM strategy in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

If allowed to continue its rampage, the EHM strategy—whether executed by the United States or China—will destroy life as we know it.

However, all is not lost. Perkins offers a plan for transforming this system that places profits above all into a Life Economy that restores the earth. He inspires readers to take actions toward a new era of global cooperation that will end the United States’s and China’s EHM strategies for good. More

Capitalism: Black Friday Poopy Brown

I can prescribe you toxic pharmaceutical Gila
monster
venom, poison we call a GLP-1 drug
It's interesting, isn't it, how our English words "waste" and "waist" are homonyms? What goes on our waistline butt our excess? Why do we have so much excess that we have to carry it around like baggage? Could it be systemic? That is to say, could it be because of a system working upon us rather than the way we are told to think of it, which is just personally problematic? For instance, what does "mortgage" mean? You know that thing that will get you a house? It literally means "death pledge," because we make a "pledge" (gage) to keep paying until we die (mort as in mortician). There goes our whole life.
There is a rebellious punk rock song by Deadly Reign promoted by the Dead Kennedys' Alternative Tentacles Records (a subsidiary of Jello Biafra, Unincorporated) that has the refrain, "Systems suck, system's f*ck*ed, systems suck, okay?" (from Not So Quiet on the Western Front). And the DKs have a song called "Life Sentence" about the way we've mortgaged our lives away.

Student loans: LWT w/John Oliver

(LastWeekTonight) With over 43 million Americans paying off student loans, John Oliver discusses how so many people have come to take on student loan debt, why it’s so hard to pay off, and what we can do about it, Mama. (Let's ask Snookie for sympathy).

New eco-friendly battery is a big tech leap

Anthony Cuthbertson, The Independent, 2/26/24; Sheldon S., Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
It's true. We're on the left yet we pretend coal-powered energy is any solution to pollution. Stop the corporations and polluters without falling for lies about carbon to fund a new capitalist market to trade "right to pollute credits." Electric cars, because of rare earth minerals and the way electricity are generated and their shorter lifespan and very expensive battery packs are far worse for environment and consumers.
.
Researchers have discovered how to massively boost the capacity and performance of an eco-friendly alternative to the batteries found in electric cars and smartphones.

The breakthrough is expected to accelerate the commercialization of organic electrode-based batterie, which are both cheaper and more environmentally friendly than standard lithium-ion batteries.

“The potential of organic electrodes in lithium-ion batteries is highlighted by their cost-effectiveness and natural abundance,” a paper detailing the research noted.

Now we can save the environment and Gaia!
“However, the dissolution of the active material in the electrolyte is a major obstacle to their use in lithium-ion batteries.”

A team from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) and Hanyang University in South Korea figured out how to overcome the limitations associated with organic electrode materials, which have previously hampered their development and adoption.

Previously, such batteries were unable to keep more than 50 per cent of their capacity after just 20 charging cycles, but a new technique using diluted electrolytes allowed the battery to retain more than 91 per cent of its capacity after more than 1,000 charging cycles.

“This study represents a major step towards practical applications of organic electrode-based batteries,” said Professor Won-Jin Kwak at the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering at UNIST. More:

Trump must now pay $400 mil to appeal loss

Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly COMMENTARY
But I'm supposed to win and win again until I'm sick of winning!!! I'm not LOSER! No!.

Who would choose you over ME, Joe? - TPTB
Poor Trump, corporate loser-in-chief but no longer CEO of any business in New York,
  • Americans are mocking him in front of Trump Towers,
  • questioning his cognitive viability (saying it may be worse than senile Genocide Joe Biden),
  • questioning his ability to pay a fine imposed on him by a judge he held in contempt and was erratic and unpredictable with,
  • and he lost a popularity contest with the most popular pop star since Elvis, one Taylor "Nazi Barbie" Swift, the people's choice,
  • Pretend to elect Joe. He's going to win anyway.
and Trump's ranking among American presidents has landed him dead last, which some might call the "worst" president so far -- which is not easy to do on a list that includes two Bushs and a Black hypocrite (who promised change and gave us more war, more government reach, and all around more of the same-same).
It's a popularity contest. I did what I had to.
Many notable conservatives, no fans of Warlord Biden, are against him, like Ann Coulter, Alex Jones, former candidates, and some silent type backbenchers in the GOP. How is he going to pull the next election out of his ASAP hat without their help?

Judge bankrupts Trump: $454.5 million fine

Ashley Wells, Sheldon S., Seth Auberon, Pfc. Sandoval (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

The judge can't fine me that much, can he?
Trump has been handed an eviction of sorts: He's out of the BBC, the Billionaire Boys' Club, because he can no longer afford the steep membership fees.
Don't compare me to my dumb nepotistic sons!!
He may have to open up Mar a Lago to Airbnb rentals to cover his expenses.

He has allegedly run up a bill from defense attorneys of $500 million, or half a billion. He was fined $5 million for the rape of a woman he repeatedly defamed and was recently fined an additional $83 million for defaming her (and she has enough evidence to sue him again for doing it again after the trial).

Today's fine is $354 million. And he still faces about 90 criminal cases that may land him in federal prison unless he pays all the rest of his money on better defense attorneys or MAGAots rise up again and break him out of jail through another attempted insurrection that results in a second U.S. Civil War. Let's add it up:
  • 354,000,000.00 (today's fine for fraud)
  • 500,000,000.00 (defense attorneys' bill)
  • 083,000,000.00 (fine for defamation)
  • 005,000,000.00 (fine for rape/sexual assault)
  • 500,000,000.00 (future legal fees)
  • = more than the billion he started with
Will this cost Trump a young trophy wife?

Melania: I'll be taking my half and going now.
If Don John Trump started with a billion (1,000 million), and that's a big if -- given that he was convicted of financial fraud in New York for lying about how much his assets are worth or what he's spending his hush money on, and most of his tax documents do not seem to be examined by the mainstream media that allegedly worked so hard to have access to them -- he is down to almost nothing.

Trump gets @$$ handed to him in court

Ashley Wells, Sheldon S., CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
I'll bounce back. I always do. It's my NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and con man BS.

Don: "I'm the law-and-order candidate."
We are sick and blooming tired of Trump coverage. Arrest him. Jail him. Imprison him already. (Jail is not the same as prison). Of course, he's guilty of many crimes, even if he is a "savior" figure for half the nation.

That half can't deny he's a pathological liar, a con-man, rapist, daughter-molester, oafish cretin, and embarrassing buffoon. We know, he's God's gift to Washington, DC. See how well he "drained the Swamp"?

Is he? It'll be civil war for gun nuts if he is.
What's good about DJ? We like the way he speaks off the cuff and admits American crimes, like spying and invading countries for their oil.

But The Swamp won't have it. That backwater of lawyers living outside the country (because DC is not officially part of the US) is now doing something about him.

I will be dictator, so help me Gob.
We have no hope these charges will stick to the Teflon Don John. Inciting to riot was not added for his crimes on January 6th.

The mainstream media lies about him, makes conspiracies, really actually fakes and/or slants news stories against him, and still he's an all-around crook and no representative of this country. It's thanks to him we were spared a Hillary. But stil it's due to him we suffer under senile Biden.

(Jimmy Dore) Glenn Greenwald, Chris Hedges, and others see a sham of another new indictment.
C'mon, Joe, you gotta help me. We're buddies. You know I was just kidding about

Aah, an opening arrives for the Kennedy elite to rise again in American politics and not get shot

Not the p*ssy, don't grab me by the p*ssy! I was just kidding. I'll come voluntarily!

Men in Black, Men in Black! It wasn't just a movie. Who took my wallet. Give it back!

You grab 'em like this, Billy, right by the p*ssy! - Shucks, Donny, you have all the moves.

And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those darn kids at Zuccotti Park.
Hey, guys, c'mon. I run this town. I can put you all at a comfy desk in the precinct.
No, don't touch me there. It hurts. Don't "grab," you fascist idiot. I'm not guilty!
This is b*llsh*t. I don't belong here. I belong in the White House winning like Charlie Sheen!
You stupid idiot. You're the cause of this. - I'm sorry, Donald, I'm so sorry. Pay me and I'll go.

I want Rudy "The Jewel" Guiliani in here with me. That's all I want...and cheese sandwiches.
Everything I did to help the plandemic, they made me do. They made me hire Fauci.

This biznatch? She won't be the cause of my downfall any more than my sexy daughter will.
STFU, Donald! I'm trying to sleep. And, good god, what are you eating, you constipated POS?
No, this is not happening because it can't be happening. You think it's happening, but it's not.
This ballsack here, his name's E-lon, he wants advice on how to behave like a billionaire.
Could you believe this witch hunt? I never did nothing. I didn't jail Hillary like I said I would.

Jail Trump or buy timeshare? (Kimmel & Oliver)

Jimmy Kimmel, 3/20/23; LastWeekTonight, 3/19/23; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

Trump arrest could happen soon, GOP lowlifes scream "witch hunt," Florida aims to ban period talk
(Jimmy Kimmel) March 20, 2023 #Kimmel Indictments are in the air as we await the possible arrest of Donald Trump, if it happens the Secret Service (SS) would bring him, possibly in cuffs, to the Manhattan District Attorney’s office for a mugshot and fingerprints, some MAGA supporters online have been talking about creating what they call a "Patriot Moat" to surround Trump and prevent Neo-Nazi Stormtrooper police from taking him in, Republicans in the House of Representatives are gathered in Orlando for their annual “issues” retreat, all the usual lowlifes are screaming "witch hunt," former VP Mike Pence is also trying to stay on the good side of the crazies, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani believes that we should all be focused on Hunter Biden’s laptop (and all the drug addled naked images he had stored in it), Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis slipped a zinger in at Trump’s expense and Donny fired back implying that Ronnie "DeSanctimonious" is gay, so many of Trump’s legal issues are based on him being dumb, a kid at the NCAA Wrestling Championship lost a match and his mom was very upset, many thanks to our good friends at 6ABC News in Philadelphia for providing us with a stellar edition of the (double-fisted) "Unintentional Joke of the Day," and Republicans in the Sunshine State (Florida) are considering legislation that would ban teachers from discussing menstruation and human sexuality in elementary school.

Arraign check: Why no arrest yet?

Timeshares: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

Who would be dumb enough to -- having been lied to legally -- still buy a timeshare? No one. But when they are rebranded as "vacation clubs" or "vacation ownership plans," they're hard to resist. These are mere euphemisms (nice words that replace ugly ones) to disguise what they really are. Walk away, fast, even if Hyatt or Wyndam or another famous hotel is pitching them.

"Charged" - ending mass incarceration (NPR)

Emily Bazelon, (Fresh Air); Pfc. Sandoval, S. Auberon, Crystal Q., Wisdom Quarterly

More that 2 million people were incarcerated in the U.S. in 2016. Prosecutors -- not judges -- are responsible for many of these prison sentences (Juan Camilo Bernal/Getty Images).

Charged explains how prosecutors and plea bargains promote mass incarceration
Read excerpt: Charged (Emily Bazelon)
The U.S. prison population is booming [and this mass incarceration is profitable for a select few].

It is estimated nearly 2.2 million people were incarcerated in America in 2016, and as many people in the U.S. have criminal records as have graduated from four-year colleges.

Journalist and Yale Law Lecturer Emily Bazelon attributes America's high incarceration rates to prosecutors more than judges.

She says that in the 1980s, back when crime was on the rise, legislators across the country passed laws with mandatory minimum sentences that have disproportionately affected black and brown communities.

"That set up prosecutors to be able to determine the punishment by the charge they bring in," Bazelon says. "And so we're still living with that change — even though crime has really fallen since that time."

Bazelon notes that the majority of court cases — more than 90 percent — end in a plea bargain rather than a trial, which gives prosecutors even more power.

"You see this kind of haggling over plea bargains in the hallway, not in open court," she says. As for a defendant's guilt or innocence? "Honestly, people don't even really talk about those things."

Bazelon spent 2 1/2 years reporting on the Brooklyn district attorney's office. Her new book, Charged, examines the power of prosecutors and looks at alternatives to bail, plea bargains and incarceration. More

Only Debt and Payment Bondage are certain

Wisdom Quarterly

There is no petition. There is no need to call our Congress person. The fix is in. In a cynical ploy, B.S. Obama got what he wanted, what he was told to do, adopting a position to the right of Republicans.

It's cynical because most of us still believe our president is a liberal, someone interested in the welfare of the majority of Americans.

China owns most of our national debt, which ensures a .war of biblical proportions between the U.S. and the Red Army. (Revelation, which outlines the behavior of Judeo-Christian movers and shakers like a game plan, "a strategy worked out in advance," needs a standing army of a million soldiers, and only China qualifies).
  • Will it be financial "Armageddon," a war over water, or a war with the only force that could challenge the world's most violent imperial power, the US?
He is on office (and was selected to be in office by more business contributions than any other candidate in history) to protect the powers that be -- the rich, politically influential military-industrial complex.

That body is not a single unit but arms of a self-serving group of unelected decision makers and multinational oil executives and others. (Car companies are vested in oil and make profits not from their car sales but from the fuel that powers them, like phone companies that make money from calling plans not phone devices themselves).

Which others? The powers behind mainstream media outlets that spin and repeat stories about what is going on and what it means. Economy tanking? No, it's just that peak oil is valuable, and we need to pay a hidden tax by paying not only more for gas but an added fuel cost to everything, which also means losing our jobs and the social support programs that prevent breadlines and Wall Street suicides infamous during the Great Depression.

Cheney-Bush passed the Patriot Act to curtail our civil rights, and B.S. Obama pitched our enslavement to banking interests.
