(Indy 100) Egypt’s Great Pyramids have been a source of wonder and mystery for centuries. Now, recent research has shed a dazzling light on the secrets of how they were created and how this involved the impressive use of water.

Now, a new study has suggested that at least one of the great structures was built using equipment that was far more sophisticated than once thought.

The paper, published in the journal PLOS ONE on Aug. 5, 2024, posits that the iconic 4,500-year-old Step Pyramid of Djoser [once thought to be the oldest pyramid in the world] was erected with the help of a unique hydraulic lift system.

In the past, experts believed that the Step Pyramid of Djoser was most likely constructed using a network of ramps and levers.

However, the latest analysis, led by Xavier Landreau of France’s CEA Paleotechnic Institute, suggests that the ancient Egyptians channeled nearby canals to power weight-bearing lifts.

The construction of the Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Pyramid, has defied explanation for centuries, with suggestions of advanced ET technology, sound levitation, pouring concrete to form blocks in place. Was it all hydraulic?

The study suggests that water was enabled to flow into two shafts, located in the pyramid itself, which were used to help raise and lower a float used to carry the heavy stone building blocks.

“Ancient Egyptians are famous for their pioneering and mastery of hydraulics through canals for irrigation purposes and barges to transport huge stones,” the researchers wrote. More:

The Osirion or Osireon is an ancient Egyptian temple. It is located to the rear of the Temple of Seti I. It is an integral part of Seti I's funeral complex and is built to resemble an 18th Dynasty Valley of the Kings tomb [24].

Helicopter hieroglyphs

The retouched and eroded hieroglyphs in the Temple of Seti I are said to represent modern vehicles -- a helicopter, a submarine, and a zeppelin or jet plane -- among other anomalies.

Some of the hieroglyphs carved over an arch on the site have been interpreted in esoteric and ufology circles as depicting modern technology.

The "helicopter" image is the result of carved stone being re-used over time. The initial carving was made during the reign of Seti I and translates to "He who repulses the nine [enemies of Egypt]."

This carving was later filled in with plaster and re-carved during the reign of Ramesses II with the title "He who protects Egypt and overthrows the foreign countries."

Over time, the plaster has eroded away, leaving both inscriptions partially visible and creating a palimpsest-like effect of overlapping hieroglyphs [25, 26]. See Helicopter hieroglyphs.

On July 25th, a NASA scientist was studying images of a region of Mars called "Cydonia" when something caught his eye. He had to take a second to process what he was seeing.

He grabbed a magnifying glass. There was no doubt. On the surface of Mars, 140 million miles from Earth, was a structure in the shape of a human[oid] face.

It is huge, about a mile wide, with two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Around the face are pyramids and structures that don't look natural. They look like they were built...by someone.

The following day, NASA held a press conference. Of the thousands of photos sent back from Mars, all anyone asked about was The Face. Who built it and why?

Is it a message from an advanced civilization now long extinct? Is it a religious artifact? Is it solid like the Great Sphinx at Giza, Egypt? Or could it contain chambers like the Great Pyramid?

Then NASA threw cold water on the speculation. They claimed they had a second photograph of the area taken shortly after and it showed that the face was nothing more than an optical illusion. Small problem. That second photo doesn't exist.

So why did NASA [an acronym for "never a straight answer"] lie? The answer to that question is in the other pictures.
