How I became enlightened: my awakening 🙄

✨Demystifying Reality✨ (@demystifyingreality) TikTok | ✨'s Newest TikTok Videos

I may still be full of ego, as my profile pic shows
(Demystifying Reality, August 7, 2022) TORONTO, Canada - This is my spiritual awakening story. I like [YouTube salesman] Aaron Doughty. Well, it all started when I saw The Secret. I'm the only one who saw it. Well, I'm not, but I felt like I was. So I started to "manifest" stuff I wanted. And I got it. Not exactly the stuff I wanted, but close enough.

Demystifying Reality (@demystifyingreality) TikTok
Like, I wanted this one exact car. Then a long time later my parents gave me their old car. Close enough. It's a car. Then I liked this guy, and I dated another guy. It's a guy. Close enough. Then, like I wanted a bunch of hits on my social media and stuff, and here you are watching my video as I explain reality. I totally know how to manifest shit. Then, like, I also want... Earth is like a school, you know? We're here to learn stuff. Mmm, like, I'm learning. Now I'm embarrassed because I made this dumb video, and people are telling me I have more than 11 views now, so I'm going to take it down and watch more of Aaron's videos to see how he handles fame...*

[What does an airhead think about? What thoughts run through her mind as she babbles and tells of the most significant thing that's ever happened to her in life? Manifestation my butt. "Well, it wasn't exactly like that one, but it counts anyway!" OM🕉, do people like this really exist, is she kidding, is this all a joke, is she still talking?]

*Celebrity voice impersonated/mocked from what we remember her saying because Demystifying Reality mystified us by suddenly yanking all her YouTube content just when readers became interested in watching her trainwreck of an assertion that she's awakened. Wow. Some people. She'll be back. Catch her on TikTok. She'll be all right by the maxim, "A fool who persists in her folly will be saved by her folly" as she's now starting to realize. We're not being mean for mean's sake.

Dhammakaya: Meditation Made Easy (video)

LINKS

Meditation allows the mind to move less so that it finally stops wandering. With concentration it intensifies and becomes able to see reality as it truly is. This insight is liberating -- as the Truth sets one free.

Meditation is not mere relaxation. A well-centered mind is the gateway to happiness, wisdom, and eventually complete freedom.

Meditation is the gateway to other realms and to the timeless nirvana (nibbana). What is nirvana? It is the condition beyond the cycle of samsara, which is the round of rebirth and suffering.

Meditation bridges samsara and nirvana so that one experiences them together -- free from suffering within the round. One does not wait to be "reborn" in nirvana the way one must await rebirth in any of the many heavens. Nirvana is to be experienced here and now.

All buddhas of the past as well as followers of the Dharma who mastered the highest levels of meditation are able to enter the condition of nirvana which, while it is achieved in samsara, leaves it behind.

The center of the movement is a massive world stupa on the outskirts of Bangkok with obvious space (heavenly deva) influences (dmc.tv).
  • DHAMMAKAYA is a lay meditation movement that originated with Thai Buddhists and became a worldwide organization providing meditation instruction, bringing together traditions and Sanghas (monastic orders) in harmony for the benefit of keeping the Buddha's message regarding enlightenment alive and making it relevant in daily life.
THE TECHNIQUE
Wisdom Quarterly
The simplified Dhammakaya ("dharma body") meditation technique is straightforward. One visualizes a small, clear crystal globe vibrating the soothing mantra Samma Arahan ("right enlightenment," /saa-MA ah-rah-HAN/). The crystal is first visualized floating outside the nostril (right side for males, left side for females due to subtle nervous system differences). It then enters the body, still vibrating, until it stops at its second station up the nostril. It then moves to the center of the brain. The mantra is recited in sync with slow, natural breathing, inhaling the first word and exhaling the second, stopping at each of seven points in the body (as shown on chart). They are considered dantian, but their exact location is unique to this system. Attention and the visualized object finally comes to rest at the center of the body just above the bellybutton. It is useful to wear all white and often helpful to sit in guided visualization until one becomes accustomed to entering a meditative state.

Tibetan monks: Meditation and Science

History Channel — This clip is from a documentary about a Tibetan Buddhist monk who thought to have somehow mummified himself through meditation. It is all speculation, of course, since tumo is barely capable of drying sheets. But the body has been miraculously preserved without any external help. Scientists set out to discover what happened. The documentary shows Buddhist monks preforming meditation under clinical test conditions and discusses the results.

Help with Meditation/Concentration

(zshare.net) There's nothing like starting off the day with meditation. Whether it's five hours or simply five minutes. The important thing is to start. After 21 days it will be a habit. There are many positive benefits to amaze one. The entire day becomes different. And there are many ways to meditate. Find the way that suits you best. Working on oneself is always an "inside job." One simply needs to kick it off. If you succeed in meditating by enjoying this track, excellent. May you have peace and joy, friendship and fun: Live your truth, the truth, making it your ultimate statement.

Afternoon Concentration

Enlightenment is not an "achievement." It is a realization of what already is. Our lives are a journey from knowing, to not knowing, to knowing once again. In meditation it becomes possible to move the other way around from subconscious, to self-conscious, to superconscious. This may be called rapid evolution, self-realization through self-transcendence, going from the limited to the unbounded. It is available now. Practice peace.

What's Your Favorite Meditation?

Text: Holly Lebowitz Rossi (BeliefNet.com, 8/4/09)

I've been a less-than-successful meditator lately, finding myself caught in a session-ending swirl of thoughts every time I've gone to sit quietly for even a few minutes. So I think it's time to kick up my game and find an appropriate meditation CD, download, or even DVD.

Here's the thing: I have a lousy history with such products. The last one I had was a heart meditation that left me gasping for breath. My heart felt like it was going to fly out of my chest. Before that, I tried a chakra-cleansing meditation that got faster and more manic as it moved up the chakra ladder. I was laughing out loud by the end, which was entertaining but not exactly theta-wave inducing.

Other than enjoying my teacher's short, beautiful guided meditations in yoga class, I've always kept my own meditation counsel, until now. It's guidance time. My first stop might be one of the:

I suspect the best course will be to try a few and see which one is the best fit for me. More>>

"Om mani padme hum" (mantra video)

Meditation Guide: 7 Steps

7 steps to establishing a great meditation practice
(Examiner.com, July 23, 2009)

Meditation is like a vast unexplored continent. The farther one travels, the more splendor and beauty one will see. To begin the great adven-ture, one must prepare for the journey and bring appropriate equip-ment, clothing, and fuel. A well equipped expedition will ensure minimal setbacks and may determine the entire success of the journey.

Here is an inventory list of some "equipment" needed on a meditation journey in order to establish and maintain a successful practice.

  1. Set the intention: Be clear and realistic with expectations [or drop them altogether]. Ask, What am I willing to sacrifice in order to set aside the time necessary to meditate?
  2. Create the atmosphere: Dedicate a little corner, mat, or chair for meditation, using it only for this purpose. Put on some music, make some tea, develop a meditation ritual. This is not sitting on a cushion with lit candles and incense; it simply means establishing a special place only for meditation.
  3. Set aside a time: This may sound obvious, but have a specific time of day when it is possible to be alone in relative quiet. Guard it from disturbances, and protect the inner peace gained.
  4. Unplug: Turn off the phone, the computer, the TV. Free of these enslaving distractions, it is possible to get to know some outer peace and quiet to dedicate to meditation.
  5. Stay consistent: Diligence is the main thing. Inconsistency is a major stumbling block for any practice. Developing a good habit is crucial. But how? It takes three weeks of doing the same thing over and over again for body and mind to adjust. Then it becomes easy and natural.
  6. Keep a diary or journal: After every meditation session, take a few minutes to jot down the experiences, bodily sensations, mental imagery, or thoughts. As one looks back to check on progress, one suddenly realizes -- it's right there in your own handwriting -- something is happening. Progress is being made. It's also a great way to share experiences with others if that comes up. Keep a record of the day, time, and duration of the meditation.
  7. Experiment: Start now. Just sit. There are many different types of meditation. [The Path of Purification suggests which personality types will benefit most from which types of meditation, but experimenting proves useful. There are free teachers like Goenka and books at the library and bookstore. And nuns and monks in American temples and on video and on the Web. Come to these resources as someone who already sits.] One never knows which one will work best until one tries. Among the many types, the most common are: guided visualization, mindfulness, calming music, sitting silently in nature, Tibetan singing bowls, walking, slow repetitive movements [Tai chi, yoga, Chi gong, dance, fencing, martial arts], mantra repetition, and watching the breath.

Benefits of Meditation (Law of Attraction)

Use the Law of Attraction through meditation to create the life you dream of. While most Law of Attraction has been subverted to simply advance greed while thinking one is being spiritual, there is an undefiled source for this information. It was originally in the movie but edited out of the final edition that spread around the world. The principles are vital and important.

The universe is not an ATM. The sales job that continues in countless books and offers is deceptive. It has enriched salespeople without fulfilling the promise of a self-directed life for buyers. Motivational speaking falls short. Wishing and hoping and believing disappoint.

"Abraham" (as channelled by Esther Hicks) explains why the essence of the message was removed from the movie, revealing the "secret."
