Our favorite new movie: "BLOCKERS" (video)

Crystal Quintero, Ananda M., Dhr. Seven (eds.) Wisdom Quarterly; FilmWeek (SCPR); Universal

Headless breasty chicken or exploited girl?
Blockers (Rotten Tomatoes) comes out today, a controversial film about female sexual agency. These crazy girls are trying to get laid...but not if their parents can stop them. Enter, male chicken blockers, the hair pulling parents to these rambunctious youngsters. It's not easy raising kids, and it's not easy dealing with parents. We were all kids, many of us will be parents, so whose side will we take? Let's watch. Will it be a summer blockbuster in the spring or a premature spring break classic coming too soon to get enough adolescents [donkeys] in cinema seats?

Losing my virginity: Blockers teen sex romp movie clips (2018)

C Blockers
Teen sex sells tix.
(Universal Pictures) Blockers arrives in theaters on Friday, April 6, 2018. Website: blockersmovie.com. When three parents stumble upon their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom, they launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal.

I directed this $exploitation.
Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors, Suicide Squad), John Cena (Trainwreck, Sisters), and Leslie Mann (The Other Woman, This Is 40) star in Blockers, the directorial debut of Kay Cannon (writer of the Pitch Perfect series).

This is a comedy about sexual misconduct, so calm down. It's not like it's killing...unless someone gets pregnant and ends up committing abortion, which is murder (thought the Morning After pill may or may not be, depending on how it really works. Look into that detail, which is not on the label, before use or risk becoming a manslaughterer, which is terrible karma). Blockers (IMDb)

  • REVIEW: FilmWeek (4/6/18): A Quiet Place, Blockers, Chappaquiddick, 50th anniversary of Stanley Kubrick's [I helped fake the U.S. moon landing] 2001: A Space Odyssey
Produced by [men like] Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver, under their Point Grey Pictures banner (Neighbors, This Is the End), alongside Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar series) and DMG Entertainment’s Chris Fenton (47 Ronin). Good Universe’s Nathan Kahane and Joseph Drake (Don’t Breathe, Juno) executive produce with Chris Cowles (Collide) of DMG and Josh Fagen, Dave Stassen, and Jonathan McCoy. The film is written by brothers Brian and Jim Kehoe, Hurwitz and Schlossberg, and Eben Russell.

Sex? Maybe. Contraception? YES!
When my parents said, "We want to talk to you about sex," I answered, "Sure, what do you guys want to know?" thinking they had to know that I knew more about the subject than they probably did. They were mad and shamed me. We never talked about it again. :/

"Dalai Lama Awakening" (sneak preview)

Ashley Wells, Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly; DalaiLamaFilm.com; KPFK; K. Darvich
(KD) Narrated by Harrison Ford, featuring Indian and Tibetan music for a "trippy" feel in honor of the Vajrayana leader's home-in-exile, Dharamsala, India

892Our transformation is NOW, says the sequel's producer-director Khashyar Darvich. Come to a sneak preview, a special screening (prior to the official March 2, 2014 premiere of "Dalai Lama Awakening"). Fans of transformation will gather at Yoga Soup on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at 6:30-9:30 pm ($15) for an in person Q&A with Darvich following the screening.

Dalai Lama at Univ. of Hawaii
This self-reputed "transformational" documentary has the 14th Dalai Lama sounding more like the character George Lucas ("Star Wars") created in his honor, Yoda, than he has ever sounded. (Or was it actually Tsenzhab Serkong Rinpoche? That unmistakable voice, wisdom, syntax... no, Yoda's modelled on this Dalai Lama for sure).

In the guise of wise
Yoga Soup will be screening Awakening, Volume 2 of the award-winning "Dalai Lama Renaissance" (available on DVD).

Harrison Ford narrates, and the film also features quantum physicists Fred Alan Wolf and Amit Goswami, radio host Thom Hartmann, revolutionary social scientist Jean Houston, Rev. Michael Beckwith ("The Secret"), and others.

"Neurons to Nirvana" (video)

Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly; Pacifica, Los Angeles (KPFK.org), Berkeley (KPFA.org)

NEURONS TO NIRVANA: UNDERSTANDING PSYCHEDELIC MEDICINES looks at ancient medicinals, new molecules, interviews with researchers in neurochemistry, neurotheology, shamanism, and psychotherapy. Ayahuasca (daime, natema), LSD (acid), cannabis (marijuana), psilocybin (magic mushrooms), MDMA (ecstasy) are all potent tools for getting to know who we are, who we can be, and for healing the trauma of a society that is addicted to greed and consumerism. This DVD is being offered for a $120 support pledge to Pacifica Radio, the last free speech station (network) on the dial.

This is a look at "ancient medicines" from researchers at universities such as John Hopkins, UCLA, and NYU. In this new age such a film can be powered by the people. See how astounding plants, alkaloids, and molecules can transform us and help liberate us from ignorance and repression. As a collective civilization and as individual persons, we can no longer afford to lose the lessons plant spirits (bhumi-devas) can reveal. "Neurons 2 Nirvana" dares to break the taboo surrounding ENTHEOGENS, psychedelics, and plant examining and revealing their potential to alleviate suffering and heal on a global scale.

Nirvana?
Dhr. Seven, Amber Larson, Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)
The Buddha reclining into final nirvana on a pyramid pillow, Thailand (Hezbunch/flickr)

Happy Hotei (Ericmichel_def/flickr.com)
The Sanskrit term nirvana is used here in its non-technical sense of "the best thing," ultimate bliss or unending happiness.

In fact, actual nirvana ("the end of all rebirth and suffering") cannot be brought about by any chemical (even exogenous DMT, the Spirit Molecule) but only by liberating-insight. Its realization comes about from the wisdom-and-compassion of a penetrating vision of things as they truly are: radically impermanent, impersonal, and unsatisfactory.

Be kind to your brain/mind/heart
This quickening is brought about -- not by chance, random epiphany, or drug experiences -- but through systematic meditative contemplation of the 12 links of Dependent Origination to bring about insight assisted by the deep serenity and purification that follow the meditative absorptions (zens, samadhis, dhyanas, or jhanas).

Nirvana is much more than a blissful "trip." It is the joyful solution to all problems. Neurons, of course, are the physical base of our conscious experience, brain cells found throughout the gut, heart, and the mass of grey batter matter between the ears.

TRUTH to "The Great Lies of History" (video)

Listen up, Dum-Dum: Earth history is full of lies! (Fred Flintstone and the Great Gazoo)

Cancer: The Forbidden Cures (facebook)
This five-CD pack contains five historical truths:
  • THE TRUE HISTORY OF MARIJUANA
  • THE NEW AMERICAN CENTURY [9/11]
  • CANCER: THE FORBIDDEN CURES
  • UFOs AND THE MILITARY ELITE
  • THE SECOND DALLAS: WHO KILLED RFK?
  • (“From Pearl Harbor to 9/11: History Repeats Itself”)
Not only will these revelations reshape one's understanding of the world, copies of these DVDs can be copied and freely distributed to all -- with the full permission and blessing of the Italian director. Let the truth ring out and be heard far and wide!

Sometimes the truth is as close to us as the ground we are standing on. We fail to see it. Then it hits us in the face and it becomes hard not to see.

M.M. - filmmaker, screenwriter, journalist
Award-winning Massimo Mazzucco is the editor of luogocomune.net, a popular news website that grew out of his investigation of9/11.

He is one of the foremost “truthers,” and the website currently covers the most important issues at stake in the new millennium: from Big Pharma abuses to our declining world economy, from criminal spraying (“chemtrails”) to alternative energies.

After a career as a successful fashion photographer, Mazzucco wrote and directed several feature films in the United States and Europe. But after 9/11 he chose to turn all of his efforts to producing digital format documentaries, releasing them on DVD and online.

Mazzucco’s “Global Deceit” (Inganno Globale, 2005) documentary exposes major flaws in the official 9/11 story. It was broadcast on Italian TV (on Berlusconi’s Canale 5) in 2006, launching a full-fledged national debate, which makes Italy the only country to date to have tackled the 9/11 controversy in the mainstream media.

Sometimes the truth hurts but it is always better to know than to remain ignorant

Mazzucco has also participated in several television debates, presenting his largely Italian audience with the most up-to-date findings of the 9/11 Truth Movement.

His second documentary, “The New American Century” (2007), covers the political and historical aspects of an alleged “inside job,” in particular the history of the American Neo Cons. (Hear excerpts from a Pacifica Radio, KPFK Los Angeles, interview recorded 9/23/09):

It was presented at the 2008 Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil and other European film festivals. Supported by world famous filmmakers such as Costa-Gavras, Wim Wenders, and Ken Loach, it premiered in the US at the 2009 Oakland 9/11 Film Festival.

Mazzucco also produced a documentary on the Robert F. Kennedy assassination (“The Second Dallas”), which was broadcast on Italian TV in 2008, and a documentary on UFO's (2009), focusing not on saucers and extraterrestrials themselves but on the undeniable military cover up that began in the 1950s.

Mazzucco released “Cancer: the Forbidden Cures” (2010) a documentary that reveals a long history of cover-ups on many apparently effective cures against cancer.

His most recent documentary is “The True History of Marijuana” (2011), which exposes the world-wide conspiracy, led by the petrochemical industry, that has outlawed one of the most useful plants known to mankind.

Mazzucco is currently working on a new documentary on 9/11 called “Best Evidence - 10 years of public investigation on 9/11,” which will summarize the results obtained in the last 10 years by the worldwide 9/11 Truth Movemente.

Mazzucco has also written a book on 9/11 and one on the John and Robert F. Kennedy assassinations.

CIA: Truth more savage than fiction (video)

“Fair Game” Blu-ray widescreen and DVD widescreen, 2010, PG-13 for brief language. Best extra: There’s only one and it’s a doozie -- the commentary with former C.I.A. operative Valerie Plame-Wilson and her husband, Joe Wilson.

“IT’S A SURREAL experience,” Valerie Plame says, reacting to the movie based on her assignment as a C.I.A. operative. Plame had been assigned to a special task force to investigate Saddam Hussein’s reported weapons of mass destruction. When results proved he had none, her identity was revealed by the traitorous Bush administration -- putting Plame, her family, and the informants she had worked with in jeopardy. It is assumed that many of Plame’s contacts died. More

Acceleration of Consciousness (video)

(GoldRing) June 2007 to December 2012 is the completion cycle of the Mayan Calendar. The compression of time space energy fields increases the intensity of conscious awareness like an ocean wave moving on shore.

From your perspective everything is speeding up because you are a vibratory being. In actuality, the space wherein your vibration manifests is disappearing as time compresses into omni-centric singularities. Space and Time are inseparable and integral energies that allow forms to become physical, actual, and interpreted by particularized consciousness.

The metamorphosis, transition, or ascension can be analogized as an event horizon of a black hole wherein you are entering the zero point and preparing to move through the vortex of the singularity. The past and the future are compressed into the fullness of the Eternal Now.

What's Your Favorite Meditation?

Text: Holly Lebowitz Rossi (BeliefNet.com, 8/4/09)

I've been a less-than-successful meditator lately, finding myself caught in a session-ending swirl of thoughts every time I've gone to sit quietly for even a few minutes. So I think it's time to kick up my game and find an appropriate meditation CD, download, or even DVD.

Here's the thing: I have a lousy history with such products. The last one I had was a heart meditation that left me gasping for breath. My heart felt like it was going to fly out of my chest. Before that, I tried a chakra-cleansing meditation that got faster and more manic as it moved up the chakra ladder. I was laughing out loud by the end, which was entertaining but not exactly theta-wave inducing.

Other than enjoying my teacher's short, beautiful guided meditations in yoga class, I've always kept my own meditation counsel, until now. It's guidance time. My first stop might be one of the:

I suspect the best course will be to try a few and see which one is the best fit for me. More>>
