Map of spectacular view that may be bad luck.
For those who live in the "small town" this is conservative Hawaii, with all its military bases and overwhelming government control, Friday's eclipse begins at the witching hour.

The farther west one is, the better the view. LA LA Land, Los Angeles, will get a view of the eclipse beginning at 2:00 am and so on through the nation.

Look up Thursday night into Friday

(Sky & Telescope) Very late Thursday night and early Friday morning, we have a chance to watch the Moon darken and turn a [bloody] reddish hue as it slips into Earth’s shadow.

However, unlike the total lunar eclipse on May 26th this year, the Nov. 18–19 event is a partial eclipse.

But it’s a very deep one: About 99% of the lunar disk’s area (97% of its diameter) will pass through the umbra — the dark inner part of Earth’s shadow — leaving a tiny, silvery sliver of the Moon’s southern edge peeking out.

Weather [and chemtrails] permitting, viewers across almost all of North America will witness the entirety of the event.

November’s eclipse favors night owls and early risers, because the full Moon passes through the umbra after midnight on Nov. 19th for the four main U.S. time zones.

Mid-eclipse occurs in the wee hours of the morning (at 4:03 a.m. EST and 1:03 a.m. PST). For Hawai’i and Alaska, the event starts to unfold before midnight. More
