Krampus loves tasty children.

During the Christmas season in Germany, there was plenty of Silent Night and O Tannenbaum—two Christmas carols that originated there.

But during the Third Reich, one was more likely to hear a hymn called Exalted Night instead of a silent one.

The popular hymn—which dwelled on motherhood, renewal, and holiday fires—seemingly fit right in with the rest of the Christmas songs. But like so much in Nazi Germany, it was a carefully constructed fake, written by a Nazi songwriter as part of an attempt to apply Leader Adolf Hitler’s hateful ideology to Christmas.

During the 1930s and 1940s, the Nazis did their best to transform Germany’s beloved Christmas traditions into Nazi ones. Though Hitler’s attempts to create a national church failed, his party’s attempt to redefine religious celebrations was more successful.

To do this, they used ideology and propaganda to put the holiday in line with the national socialists’ antisemitic values.

The Nazis’ problem with Christmas was baked into Christmas itself. After all, [Nordic depicted] Jesus Christ was a dark-skinned [Mizrahi] Jew—and both antisemitism and the goal of expelling Jews and Jewishness were part of the core of Nazi ideology.

This presented a problem when it came to Germany.

(Vox) Heavy metal and Satan played a role in the introduction of the explicit lyrics sticker warning consumers on record albums.

The story behind how we got that sticker is bonkers, to say the least. The very public discussion around the advisory label involved the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC), a group led by the wives of Washington politicians -- like Tipper Gore (Al Gore's wife) and a few musicians including Frank Zappa, Dee Snider, and John Denver.

While the PMRC’s involvement was allegedly sparked by some raunchy lyrics from Prince’s 1984 album Purple Rain, the debate over rock lyrics had been infiltrating American culture and politics for a decade.

The driving force behind that debate was the rise of heavy metal (and particularly the grindcore band Cannibal Corpse), a genre that saw explosive popularity with the launch of MTV in 1981, and the growing influence of the religious right, who saw rock music as a powerful threat to Christianity.

Christians in Europe celebrate child tormentor Krampus. Is this their Devil working with Santa?

Hey, pretty boy, did you behave? Obey me!

Northern Europeans are a cold people, unlike the Natives of the Americas. It might have something to do with the weather they endure. That's our guess. Go to the hot countries today and see how warm the people tend to be -- not in every case but as a cultural characteristic. Go north, and watch out, cold blooded/unemotional. Look at the Russians. They know how to kick butt. Must've learned it from their neighbors, the Germans. And the Germans, that's us, inheritors of the NAZI war machine and its criminal masterminds, like those rocket, missile, and nuclear bomb makers we so patriotically claim as our own. Look how we train Boy Scouts, a kind of American Hitler Youth, Nazi kids in form and function, if not racially, molested just like in Catholic/Lutheran Germany. But who pays attention? How did treating kids so badly begin? Western culture, particularly in the cold places, seems to have a lot to do with traumatizing children. Look at the European "Christmas" tradition of Krampus:

Who's Christmas Krampus?

We agree. We hate kids and ruin them.

Krampus is a devilish, horned figure in the Central and Eastern Alpine folklore of Europe who, during the Advent season, scares [the hell out of] children who have been naughty and misbehaved (as all children do). Assisting Christian Saint Nicholas, a.k.a. Coca Cola Corporation's red-robed "Santa Claus," the pair (Krampus and Santa/Satan) visit children one night a year in December.

(King Diamond) In Mercyful Fate style, the Danish originator [Satanist rockstar Kim Bendix Petersen] goes solo for the Xmas anti-classic "No Presents for Christmas." Guess not everyone in Europe enjoys the national holiday.

Catholic Saint Nicholas rewards obedient ("well-behaved") children with modest gifts such as oranges, dried fruit, walnuts, and chocolate, while the disobedient ones are punished by demonic Krampus with birch rod beatings [1] that are sure to make them neurotic and possibly sociopathic in the long run.

The origin of the Yuletide Krampus figure is unclear; some folklorists and anthropologists have postulated it as having pre-Christian/pagan origins [2].

In traditional parades and in such events as the Krampuslauf (English "Krampus run"), young men participate dressed as Krampus and attempt to scare the audience with their boisterous and violent antics [3]. Such events occur annually in most Alpine towns [4].

Krampus is featured on holiday greeting cards called Krampuskarten. The figure has been imported into American popular culture and has appeared in movies, TV, and video games. More

It is widely believed that many Halloween traditions originated from Celtic harvest festivals which may have pagan roots, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain.

Party like a Catholic!

It is said this festival was "Christianized" as All Hallows Evening, Hallows Even, Hallowe'en. The word Halloween, or Hallowe'en, dates to about 1745 and is of Christian origin.

Hallowe'en means "hallowed or holy evening" after the Christian saints being honored in an attempt to appropriate the popular pagan celebration going on. It comes from a Scottish term for All Hallows' Eve (the evening before All Hallows' Day).

In Scots the word "eve" is even, and this is contracted to e'en or een. Over time, (All) Hallow(s) E(v)en evolved into Halloween.

Krampuses are horned, anthropomorphic folkloric figure, "half-goat, half-demon," who during the Catholic Christmas season punish children who have misbehaved, in contrast to Saint Nick, who rewards the well-behaved with little gifts.

Krampuses are companions of Saint Nicholas in regions including Austria, Bavaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, and Northern Italy along with Black Pete.

Isn't Krampus just a yakkha version of German Belsnickel? 

Belsnickel or Pelznickel (from pelzen or belzen, German "to wallop, to drub") and Nickel, a hypocorism of the given name Nikolaus) is a crotchety, fur-clad Christmas gift-bringer figure in the folklore of the Palatinate SW Germany along the Rhine, the Saarland, the Odenwald area of Baden-Württemberg, and Pennsylvania Dutch communities.

Long ago I had to wonder where we got the name "Santa." Shuffle two letters and suddenly it's "Satan." Claus has a clause is to get his Claws into all of us, like some ambulance chaser running down business.

Not that anyone would do this. Who would do this? Just a coincidence, I'm sure, because, well, just look at him: white man in a red suit with minions known as elves, hobgoblins, little demon slaves who do his bidding.

And where's Mrs. Kringle? Hollywood's backstory for her indicates she's just a kindly yenta, a real babooshka, under the weight of fat man Claus. Just ask Burgermeister Meisterburger.

Okay so imagine you wanted a holiday, one uplifting in nature celebrating, say, the figure of the social imagination's goodness. What better way to do that than crass commercialism, mass consumerism, greed, pettiness, conspicuous consumption, clinging, grasping, clutching...clawing?

Ho, ho, ho, Merry Xmas, children! Where's my goddam milk and cookies? They're supposed to be here on a plate next to the gift tree! This whole Xmas business began as a 'shroom fest anyway. Scandinavian shamans and psychedelic mushroom distributors, Krampus customs, Christian bitterness throughout Europe, it's not been easy suffering the cold. It was only a matter of time before the demons got their way.
