PUNK FEST: Dead Kennedys (Ink-n-Iron)

Long Beach, home of the Queen Mary, America's own haunted "Titanic" (emo14)

I luv DKs (coolspotters.com)
(WQ) The Dead Kennedys are a classic punk rock band promoting consciousness raising rather than self-defeating behavior. Of course, that's not really what the world wants from a rock band, even a punk rock band. Enter The Offspring, a favorite pop band of the 1990s that continue their commercial success into this millennium. The poindextery vocals of Dexter and catchy guitar riffs of Noodles made them notable during the Golden Age of KROQ/MTV and Southern California rock music. Yawn. By contrast, superstars Sublime with new frontman Rome, an excellent follow up to the Bradley era. Iggy is a dinosaur who will not die. NoFX are fun and punky. Otherwise, the best reason to come is that the Opening Party is FREE and open to all. The Queen Mary is a haunted tourist attraction next to the auditorium the Dalai Lama visits most years in a city full of Buddhist temples and daily FREE YOGA in the park just above the shoreline. DAILY FREE YOGA
