WARNING: Rioting, violence, racism, counter-racism told from a right-wing perspective
Wanna piece of my storm troopers?
Imagine a world divided under Trump, where American nationalists, acting like the fascists of old Germany and Italy, riot in the streets. And a counter-protest group arises. That's what Antifa (anti-fascists) is like or what it says it aims to be, ca counter-force to racist police and largely white mobs taking advantage of the moment to let their racist or implicitly biased flags fly.
It makes for great video journalism whatever side one falls on. And be sure of one thing, there are reasonable people on both sides, some fighting for their self-interest, others fighting for equality and the good of all.
You can decide which is which. Fox News vs. MSNBC = B.S. from both sides, divided by color, upward mobility, prestige, socioeconomic status, everything they talk about in college.
In the the last fifteen years racists and neo-fascists in the US have killed three times the number of people that muslim extremists have. Anti-fascists have, at their most extreme, punched people and broken windows. The media is engaging in the worse case of false equivalence I have ever seen.
