Weather.com) Millions of people around the world are preparing to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
This year is the "Year of the Tiger," which begins February 1st and lasts two weeks.
It's also known as "Chinese New Year," though it's actually the Spring Festival in mainland China. Asia is the largest continent and region: Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, North Korea, and Taiwan also observe a national holiday for the new year.
