The Power of Letting Go: Alan Watts (audio)

Letting go is freeing ourselves to flow in accord with the way of Nature (KQED TV).

The Power of Letting Go - Alan Watts with Ambient Music
(Elements - Meditations & Mindfulness) “To have faith is to trust yourself to the water. When you swim you don’t grab hold of the water, because if you do you will sink and drown. Instead, you relax and float.” - Alan Watts

"The Power of Letting Go" combines the brilliant speech of Alan Watts with relaxing ambient music.

Watts was a British-American philosopher, writer, and speaker known for interpreting and popularizing Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism for a Western audience. After rigorous research in Zen Buddhism, Watts published one of the first books on the topic – The Way of Zen – introducing the burgeoning Beat/Hippie youth culture to it.

Because of the wisdom it embodies, Watts suggested that Buddhism could be presented and taught as a form of psychotherapy rather than a religion.

To make the most of this journey, please suspend judgment and explore the natural workings of the mind/heart. Get comfortable, focus on the breath, and open the mind to one of the most inspirational Zen philosophers of all time. This is best enjoyed with headphones.
