But aren't Jews God's 'chosen people'?

Why Jews are NOT God's chosen people
(The Dance of Life Podcast with Tudor Alexander) In an age where rhetoric and emotions determine people’s beliefs, one of the most counter-cultural things we can do is to objectively look at the evidence regardless of how it makes us feel. It is also important to remember that things are often not what they seem, that history is not what we’ve been told, and that the truth will always be hated by the world.

With the advent of bloody [settler colonial project's nonstop] conflict in the Middle East, many are beginning to question the paradigm they have been told by the media and their pastors. Many more have yet to begin this questioning process. Today you will learn the truth about God’s chosen people — who they are and who they aren’t — with Judeo-Christian scripture and history as our guide on an adventure through time.

How the Creator God looks: Book of Enoch

(TheBlackParchment) The Book of Enoch finally exposed the Creator God -- and what this God actually looks like

God: An Anatomy
An astonishing and revelatory history that represents God as he was originally envisioned by ancient worshippers—with a distinctly male body, and with superhuman powers, earthly passions, and a penchant for the fantastic and monstrous.

"[A] rollicking journey through every aspect of Yahweh’s body [the Demiurge, Gnostic Yaldabaoth], from top to bottom (yes, that too) and from inside out... Ms. Stavrakopoulou has almost too much fun.” — The Economist

I'm no ET. I'm Baal. Worship me!
The scholarship of theology and religion teaches us that the God of the Bible was without a body, only revealing himself in the Old Testament in words mysteriously uttered through his prophets, and in the New Testament in the body of Christ.
The portrayal of God as corporeal and masculine is seen as merely metaphorical, figurative, or poetic. But, in this revelatory study, Francesca Stavrakopoulou presents a vividly corporeal image of God: a human-shaped deity who walks and talks [in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve] and weeps and laughs, who eats, sleeps, feels, and breathes, and who is undeniably male.

Could there be a God, a real God?

The Jewish God El
Here is a portrait—arrived at through the author's close examination of and research into the Bible—of a god in ancient myths and rituals who was a product of a particular society, at a particular time, made in the image of the people who lived then, shaped by their own circumstances and experience of the world.

From head to toe—and every part of the body in between [including the penis]—this is a god of stunning surprise and complexity, one we have never encountered before. More: God: An Anatomy (by Francesca Stavrakopoulou)

Who created God? Who is "God"?

Who created God? Who is God? (The Vedas)
(Alan Watts) It's ALL a show, the lila ("divine play" of God or Pure Consciousness), this Samsara (painful Round of Rebirth), this Maya (illusion)

First stage of enlightenment: Heart Sutra

(Swapnaloka) The biggest illusion is ME? (Maya, Lila) the Divine Illusion (Advaita Vedanta)

What must Bodhidharma have thought?
I was trying to read the Heart Sutra to chant it in Sanskrit. But it doesn't make any sense translated into English. At least it didn't until Wisdom Quarterly's Dharma editor explained it.* Now it's clear. Now I know why "enlightenment" eludes me. Now I know what to study and put into practice to know-and-see. Thanks, WQ!
Stream-Enterer Sutra
The Scythian Sage: The Buddha
[At Savatthi the Buddha said:] "Meditators, there are these Five Groups clung to as self. What five groups?
  1. The body-group clung to as self,
  2. the feeling-group,
  3. the perception-group,
  4. the mental-formation-group,
  5. the consciousness-group clung to as self.
"And when, meditators, the noble (Aryan = "enlightened," "awakened") disciple understands as they truly are:
  • the arising and the passing away,
  • the attractiveness and the danger, and
  • the deliverance from the five groups clung to as self,
The Devi (Goddess) Pallas Athena (Klimt)
one is called a noble disciple who is a stream-winner, no longer liable to ever fall into subhuman states of woe [1], assured of full and final enlightenment."
  • NOTE: 1. The "stream-winner" (sotapanna) is sure to become fully enlightened (an arahant) within seven rebirths and will not be reborn more than seven more times, and such a person will never again be reborn in any state lower than the human plane.
The beginning of wisdom
(Buddhism in English) Put ego away and humbly ask questions
  1. the one "with seven rebirths at the utmost" (sattakkhattu-parama) ["one with only seven further rebirths at the utmost," is one of the three kinds of stream-winners (sotāpannas).
  2. the one "passing from one noble family to another" (kolankola),
  3. the one "germinating only once more" (eka-bījī, lit. "one seed" or perhaps "at most once more seeded").]
Watts on Hindu/Mahayana 'enlightenment'
Alan Watts reveals the big secret, reality, and LSD (alanwatts.org)

As it is said (e.g., Pug.37-39; A.III.87):

What is the greatest bliss? Seeing release.
(1) "If a person, after the disappearance of the three lower fetters (personality-belief, skeptical doubt, attachment to rites and rituals), see samyojana), has entered the stream [that leads inevitably to nirvana], that person is no longer subject to any rebirth in the lower worlds [anywhere below the human plane], is firmly established, destined to reach full enlightenment. After having passed among celestial beings (deva) and human beings (manussya) only at most seven times more through the Round of Rebirths, one puts an end to all suffering. Such a person is called "one with seven rebirths at the utmost" (sattakkhattu-parama).

I continued to practice to make an end of all ill.
(2) "If a person, after the disappearance of the three fetters.... is destined to reach full enlightenment, that person, after having passed among noble families two or three times through the round of rebirths, makes an end of all suffering. Such a person is called "one passing from one noble family to another" (kolankola).

(3) "If a person, after the disappearance of the three fetters...is destined to full enlightenment, one, after having only once more returned to the human plane, makes an end of all suffering. Such a person is called "one germinating only once more" (eka-bījī).

  • 7. This is an encouraging message for many! Compare it to the end of MN 22 and also the charming image of the newborn calf in MN 34. The Commentary (MA) to MN 22 says such people are termed "lesser stream-winners" (cula-sota-panna). This term is discussed in The Path of Purification (VM XIX, 27). [This term is more fully explained in The Path of Freedom (Vimuttimagga).] The stress laid here on the importance of faith (actually saddha, "confidence," "conviction," the trust sufficient to investigate that precedes personal verification) is interesting in view of later developments such as the Pure Land schools (e.g., Jodo-Shinshu or "Shin-Buddhism" in Japan).

God=Tao? Converting Taoism into Christianity

How could the true "Tao" ever be limited to a personality? Pantheon of Taoist Gods (Tao.org)
  • Matteo Ricci, Latin Matthaeus Riccius (Oct. 6, 1552–May 11, 1610) was an Italian Catholic Jesuit priest and one of the founding figures of the Jesuit China missions.
Ricci: You will worship our God
He created the Kunyu Wanguo Quantu, a 1602 world map written in Chinese characters. In 2022, the Apostolic See declared its recognition of Ricci's heroic virtues, thereby bestowing upon him the honorific of venerable [1]. Ricci arrived at the Portuguese settlement of Macau in 1582, where he began his missionary work in China.

He mastered the Chinese language and writing system.

The West's Vatican will rule China!
He became the first European to enter the Forbidden City of Beijing in 1601 when invited by the Wanli Emperor, who sought his services in matters such as court astronomy and calendrical science.

He emphasized parallels between Catholicism and Confucianism but opposed Buddhism.

He converted several prominent Chinese officials to Catholicism. He also worked with several Chinese elites, such as Xu Guangqi, in translating Euclid's Elements into Chinese as well as the Confucian classics into Latin for the first time in history. More

Who was Lao Tzu, founder of Taoism?
  • Lao Tzu (aka Laozi)
    LAO TZU
(Romanized "the Old Boy," Chinese Laozi, 老子, Pinyin Lǎozǐ) was a legendary Chinese philosopher and sage traditionally credited with writing The Book of Changes or Tao Te Ching (Pinyin Dào Dé Jīng), one of the foundational texts of Taoism.
Traditional accounts identify him as Li Er, born in the 6th century BC in the state of Chu during China's Spring and Autumn period (c. 770–c. 481 BC). He is said to have served as the royal archivist for the Zhou court.

He is also said to have met Confucius (c. 551–c. 479 BC), and to have composed The Book of Changes before withdrawing into the western wilderness.

Modern scholarship, however, has questioned both Lao Tzu’s historicity and the traditional attribution of the Tao Te Ching to a single author. More
Confucius
CONFUCIUS, born Kong Qiu, was a Chinese philosopher of the Spring and Autumn period who is traditionally considered the paragon of Chinese sages. Much of the shared cultural heritage of the Sinosphere originates in the philosophy and teachings of Confucius [1].

His philosophical teachings, called Confucianism, emphasize personal and governmental morality, harmonious social relationships, righteousness, kindness, sincerity, and a ruler's responsibilities to lead by virtue [2].

He considered himself a transmitter for the values of earlier periods, which he claimed had been abandoned in his time... More

What is the Tao in Lao Tzu's Taoism?
Outline of the aura: Qigong
Taoism (pronounced Daoism) is a philosophical and religious tradition indigenous to China and is a major influence on Zen. It emphasizes harmony with the Tao (道).

With a range of meanings in Chinese philosophy, translations of Tao include "Way," "Road," "Path," or "Technique," generally understood in the Taoist sense as an enigmatic process of transforming ultimately underlying reality [2, 3].

Taoist thought has informed the development of various practices within the Taoist tradition, including forms of
  • meditation,
  • astrology,
  • qigong,
  • feng shui, and
  • internal alchemy [4].
Meister Lam in Jiuzhaigou: Qigong
A common goal of Taoist practice is self-cultivation, a deeper appreciation of the Tao, and a more harmonious existence [with nature].

Taoist ethics [that blended until they are thought to be of Buddhist origin in Zen] generally emphasize virtues of effortless action, naturalness, simplicity, and the three treasures of compassion, frugality, and humility.

Taoism is a distinct tradition with its own scriptures, priestly lineages, and ritual systems, but it has long been closely intertwined with Zen and Chinese folk religion, and the boundary between them is often fluid in practice [5].

The core of Taoist thought crystallized during... More

Osho on Jews and the Jewish problem

Send me more money and girls and Mercedeses
Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh ("Osho") was born Chandra Mohan Jain on Dec. 11, 1931–Jan. 19, 1990). He is was previously known as Bhagwan Sri Rajneesh [2], Acharya Rajneesh [3, 1], and is now commonly called "Osho."

He was an Indian "godman" [4], sadhu, philosopher, mystic [5], cult leader, corrupt "saint" with a messianic complex, comedian, scam capitalist, clever and funny speaker (whose talks were transcribed into books that are sometimes quite funny), and founder of the Rajneesh Movement [1].

He was a controversial new religious movement leader during his life. He rejected institutional religions [6, 1, 7], insisting that spiritual experience could not be organized into any one system of religious dogma [8], as Patanjali did with yoga and the historical Buddha did in outlining general Eightfold Paths.

As a scandal-ridden sex guru in America, he advocated meditation but taught a unique form of his own devising, which he called "dynamic meditation."

I am God. Leave it all and get on my treadmill.
Rejecting traditional ascetic practices of all kinds, he encouraged his followers to [hedonistically] embrace life fully while remaining unattached to worldly desires.

Radicalized by Anti-Jewish Neo-Nazis?

Rajneesh claims he experienced a "spiritual awakening" in 1953 at the age of 21 [8].

Following several years in academia, in 1966 he resigned his post at the University of Jabalpur as a lecturer of philosophy and began traveling throughout India, becoming known for his criticism of the orthodoxy of mainstream religions [1, 9, 10, 11] as well as of mainstream political ideologies... The God of Israel was/is BAAL, not Yahweh

Kill babies. I love their tender flesh.
(Beyond the Altar) Israel kept worshipping Baal, and the Bible admits it. [Judaism has never been monotheistic; it has always been henotheistic, which is why it changes Gods and claims to only ever have one. Kill more children and send them My way, Israel, and I shall rewardeth y'all in the afterlife, I mean, in the here-and-now with lots of money and land, and as far as the eye can see for "Greater Israel." Join the Movement! Keep worshipping Me. And Moloch, too. All the Canaanites of the Levant love their true gods and wouldn't dream of stopping the blood sacrifices, tribute, and worship...or else.]

Gnostic: Demiurge's prison of 'reality'

  • Gnosticism seems to be the Western version of the Vedic/Hindu concept of God (the One or the Supreme) at "divine play" (lila), coming under the illusion (maya) of separation. But all is one. Who is this Demiurge, this false God that created this simulation/illusory reality (duality) around us and the cycle of endless rebirth (samsara)?

How to please God the Semitic way

  • Who are the "Semites"? For our purpose, it may refer to any peoples who speak Semitic languages: Sumerians, Palestinians (called "Arabs" by Jews), Jews, Bedouins, Mesopotamians, those cultures in and around the Levant.
Ancient way of "worship"

Kill Palestinians and feed them to me.
Traditionally, the name Moloch (Molech, Molek) has been understood as referring to a (or the) Canaanite God [3]. However, since 1935, possibly biased scholars have speculated that Moloch refers to the sacrifice itself, since the Hebrew word mlk is identical in spelling to a term that means "sacrifice" in the closely related Punic language [4]. This second position has grown increasingly popular, but it remains contested [5].

How shall we serve God Baal?
Among proponents of this second position, controversy continues as to whether the sacrifices were offered to the Jewish tribal god Yahweh or some other holy deity and whether they were a native Israelite religious custom or a Phoenician import [6]. More
