Although pandas, a kind of creature like the tiny sun bear but subsisting almost exclusively on nutritious bamboo shoots (as served in good Chinese restaurants), are best known for their opposition to sexual harassment, it wasn't always that way. They were an utter myth, like Sasquatch, until someone trudged out into the woods, killed a specimen, and conclusively proved they really exist in more than just the locals' lore.
Now, numerous Sasquatch have been gunned down, and it didn't "prove" anything because the U.S. government already knows without a doubt that these hominids exist in every state but are keeping the secret anyway, even if some USFS material says otherwise. Unlike the charismatic megafauna of U.S. forests, these creatures, which come in many varieties around the world, can be dangerous, monstrous, all too human, and best kept under wraps since they are entering and exiting this dimension by various means (portals, prison planet ships, and their own preternatural super abilities).
China loves mythological figures who are bigger than life: Cosmic Buddhas like Amitabha and Vairocana, Indian missionary Bodhidharma, Goddess Kwan Yin, Ksitigarbha in Hell, Yeren (Wild Man in the woods), and big pandas.

There are two subspecies of panda, the Giant, black-and-white panda, and the golden ‘Qinling panda’ – a much smaller, brown subspecies of panda, discovered in 1985 in the mountain ranges of the southern Shaanxi Province in China.
In the wilderness, giant pandas live only in the remote, mountainous regions of China [like some kind of hiding Smallfoot no one used to seriously believe in].
As of 2019, due to rapidly growing population numbers, the status of pandas was upgraded from “endangered” species to “vulnerable” species.
Still, it is reported that there are fewer than 2,000 pandas left in the wild, due to habitat loss, farming, fur hunting, and other factors [like trying to teach them kung fu and getting them killed by Hollywood in the process, with drug and alcohol abuse for the ones who find fame ;,)].
Pandas only live about 15 to 20 years in the wild, but those in captivity may live even longer. Panda bears play an important part in the ecosystem of China’s bamboo forests, by spreading seeds, and therefore, growing new vegetation, which serves humans, animals, and humanimals (like the Yeren), and animals.
That’s why it is important to protect the panda and its environment, aside from their intrinsic right to live and exist on the animal plane, which is shared with humans and the human plane in Buddhism.
One factor contributing to their endangered status is the low birth rate for pandas. Considering that female pandas are only fertile two or three days of the year, it makes sense that reproduction in the wild is more difficult for this species.
There are about 27 zoos worldwide that imprison or indefinitely detain protect giant pandas and foster artificial environments to encourage reproduction.
The most important factor for preserving wild pandas is to protect their environment, especially bamboo forests, their main source of nutrition. More

The Always-Hungry Ghosts: Pretas
I'm hungry. Feed me! Give me water, clothes!
Preta (Pali peta, Sanskrit प्रेत, Tibetan ཡི་དྭགས་ or yi dags) is known as a "hungry ghost." It is the Sanskrit name for a type of departed being described in Buddhism, Jainism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Chinese and Vietnamese folk religion.
They undergo suffering greater than that common to humans, particularly an extreme level of hunger, thirst, and attachment, clinging, or hankering.
They have their origins in Indian religions adopted into East Asian religions via the spread of Buddhism. Preta or peta is most often translated into English as "hungry ghost" from the Chinese and Vietnamese adaptations.
In early sources such as the "Ghost Stories" (Petavatthu) of the Pali Canon, they are much more varied. The descriptions below apply mainly in this narrower context.

Pretas are believed to have been clingy, stingy, fearful, jealous, envious, greedy, corrupted, compulsive, deceitful, or people unable to let go in some previous life. As a result of their unskillful karma, they are afflicted with insatiable hunger for a particular substance or object.
Traditionally, this is something repugnant or humiliating, such as afterbirth or cadavers or feces, though in more recent stories, it can be anything, however bizarre (The Garuda Purana, 2.7.92-95, 2.22.52-55).

A woman in Australia says her family was tormented by Yowies (Australian version of Sasquatch) after they moved into their new rental and that, at one point, she saw a mysterious entity lurking alongside the creatures.
Jackie Liversidge recalled the 2016 experience for the first time in a report to the Australian Yowie Research organization. According to her it all began when they rented a cottage in the town of Tarzali, Queensland and immediately felt like something was wrong.
The first sign of strangeness, according to Liversidge, was when something began throwing pebbles onto the roof of the home. Shortly thereafter, her son was outside at night and heard "a very loud demonic animal growl."
The family spent the next few months in a state of high alert as they felt they were being watched by an unseen observer (an eerie entity or another Yowie) and often heard the sound of something sizeable moving around outside the home.
Liversidge's tale culminates with a jaw-dropping sighting of the creatures. She was outside at night when she heard "someone walking." She turned a flashlight at the noise and was astonished to see a humanoid creature that she described as "pitch black, hairy, and the size of a chimpanzee."
Before Liversidge could process what she was seeing, she realized there were "two other sets of glowing eyes" looking at her family. She realized the mysterious creature was not alone.
Based on the height of the glowing eyes, she said, it appeared the creature's companions were considerably larger than it was, and she surmised that it was probably a family of Yowies.
Liversidge managed to get a long, clear look at the trio and observed that they "walked with big, long strides," seemed to have arms longer than a human's, and sharp, black nails. More

Body of bizarre winged humanoid found

A group of paranormal researchers are attempting to determine the nature and origins of a strange winged creature [Latin American/Iberian duende, Filipino duwende, or Buddhist kumbhanda?] discovered in Mexico.
The tiny oddity boasts what appears to be a humanoid body along with a set of wings, causing some to suggest that it could be a fairy or an alien [or a goblin or elf judging by the head and vicious teeth].
Brien Foerster says that he spotted the bizarre creature floating in a specimen jar at an office in Mexico back in January.
Since then, it has been subjected to X-ray and DNA analysis, which showed that the organic form contains an inner skeleton [and buckshot indicating that it was shot out of the sky and killed by a human].
In the video, which unveiled the creature, author L.A. Marzulli speaks with a man who appears to be the scientist who conducted the tests.
They conclude that the oddity could not be a hoax because the X-ray scan would have revealed it as such if it were a doll or some other fabrication.

In light of the bone structure found inside the creature, researchers hope to extract and analyze DNA from it to learn more about what it might be. [The first test was inconclusive because it had sat too long in formaldehyde].
Despite the fantastic nature of the creature, it would be best to exercise caution before leaping to a paranormal conclusion, since a number of previous "alien bodies" have been disproved in the past.

The Buddha was born in Central Asia (ranajitpal.com) in Shakya Land, known as Scythia to the ancient Greeks, which includes what are today called the "Stans." Kapilavastu and the two other seasonal capitals were likely in what is now Afghanistan. But the Shakyas must have wandered and from time to time held a territory reaching as far and wide as the rugged landscape would allow. In that land with rival neighbors vying for territory, as the Silk Route brought travelers and riches, there had once lived the mythical "unicorn." But this was a giant creature in what by the Buddha's time was an equestrian culture. Another of the Stans was made famous by "Borat" (Sacha Baron Cohen), a rugged land swallowed up into the USSR and only now emerging as a once great kingdom separating Europe and Asia. The Buddha warned what can be expected to happen to a society that abducts women, which he would not have done were it not a practice.
Who were the Scythians (the Saka, the Shakyans)? The Buddha was a Scythian/Saka/Shakya, known as the "Sage of the Shakya Clan" (Shakyamuni). The Saka (Old Persian Sakā, Sanskrit Śaka, Greek Σάκαι, Latin Sacae) was the term used in Persian and Sanskrit sources for the Scythians, a large group of Eastern Iranian (Aryan) nomadic tribes on the Eurasian Steppe.

The "Siberian unicorn" likely went extinct only around 29,000 years ago, conflicting with previous research that suggested its extinction around 350,000 years ago.
Although the "Siberian unicorn," also known as the Elasmotherium sibiricum, was thought to have died out around 350,000 years ago, a new study by researchers from Tomsk State University (TSU) reveals that this "unicorn" instead went extinct 29,000 years ago in Kazakhstan.
"Most likely, the south of Western Siberia was a refúgium, where this rhino persevered the longest in comparison with the rest of its range," said Andrey Shpanski, a paleontologist at TSU and first author on the study. "There is another possibility that it could migrate and dwell for a while in the more southern areas."

A kumbhāṇḍa (Pāli kumbhaṇḍa) is one of a group of dwarfish, misshapen "spirits," shapeshiftinggoblins, gnomes, duendes, cretins, poltergeists, among the lesser earthbound forest entities of Buddhist cosmology and Indian mythology.
Kumbhāṇḍa
was a dialectal form for "gourd," who may have gotten their name from being
thought to resemble gourds in some way, for example in having big stomachs.
But kumbhāṇḍacan also be interpreted as "pot-egg" -- "pot" (kumbh ) and "egg" (aṇḍa), egg being a common euphemism for "testicle." These creatures were imagined as having testicles "as big as pots," much as salacious Pan is portrayed as constantly erect phallus.
The terms kumbhāṇḍa and yakṣa ("demon," "ogre") are sometimes used for the same creatre,yakṣa(Pali, yakkha) in these cases is the more general term, including a variety of shapeshifting entities.
Kumbhāṇḍas are classed as earthlings subordinate to one of the Four Great Sky Kings (cāturmahārājikakāyikadevas), namely the Regent Virūḷhaka, Guardian of the South. One of the chiefs of the kumbhāṇḍas is called Kumbhīra.

family from Nketa 7 suburb dumped its tenant's "goblin" at the
Tshabalala Police Station, sending cops fleeing in different directions.
The incident occurred at about 8:00 pm on Wednesday.
A family that claimed a lodger owned the goblin [kumbandha, duende] brought it to the station in a suitcase.
"We heard some screaming from the charge office and most officers who

went out through the windows because we could not all have fitted
through the door. Fat cops and slim cops all ran for their lives
