It's easy to think no Jews are religious about it. It's largely a secular identity, a cultural inheritance, a brand identity, a Zionist outlook, a victim card status, a self-identified choice, a diet, a bid for Tay-Sachs and other incestuous disease states, even a race to some with subraces (like impure-nonwhites the dreaded Mizrahi, Latin Sephardi, and outcaste Ethiopian and Meshuchrarim). Mostly, today, Judaism is just AshkenaziEuropeans clinging to a story, a narrative, a justification for being God's chosen people and the smartest in the world, with completely-unbiased IQs to prove it.
So who are the Hasidim? There are Orthodox Jews, and then there are Ultra-Orthodox Jews. There are the good guys like Neturei Karta (nkusa.org) and weird tunnel builders in Jesse Jackson's Hymie Town, aka Brooklyn (New York City synagogue tunnel incident), home of the beloved JuBu Beastie Boys, engaging in white slavery, patriarchy, sodomy, rape, abductions, kidnapping, Epstein-style sex trafficking, who knows for sure?

Hasidism (Hebrew חסידות, Romanized Ḥăsīdūt) or Hasidic Judaism is a religious movement within Judaism that arose in the 18th century as a spiritual revival movement in contemporary Western Ukraine before spreading rapidly throughout Eastern Europe. Today, most in the movement, known as Hassidim, reside in the Zionist ethnostate of Israel and its servant state the USA, and to a lesser extent in Canada, the UK, German Argentina, and Belgium.

Inanna [a] is the ancient Mesopotamian Goddess of War, Love, and Sex (the Aphrodite and Venus of olde). She is also associated with divine law, political worldly power, sensuality, and procreation (fertility).
Originally worshipped in Sumer (by the Sumerians), she was also known to the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians as Ishtar [b]. Her primary title is "The Queen of Heaven."
She was the patron goddess of the Eanna temple at the City of Uruk, her early main religious center. In archaic Uruk, she was worshipped in three forms:

Forty-four or so underachieving male high school students gang raped children, female high schoolers, over the course of 11 months [1].
The case caused a public outcry due to police mistreatment of the victims who finally came forward, insensitivity to their plight and danger, the bungling of the case, and the offenders' very light punishments.

The victims lived in Ulsan and Changwon, while the perpetrators were from Miryang and Changwon [2]. The perpetrators were initially believed to be members of a high school gang [3], but little evidence for this was found [4] by bungling and unmotivated police on the case.
The gang reached the first female 14-year-old victim over the phone. When she met the gang members, she was sexually assaulted, the whole scene filmed on video to blackmail and extort her.
According to police, she was raped 10 times by three to 24 high school boys at each occurrence. At least 44 boys were involved in the attacks over a period of 11 months [1, 3]. But 70 more were later discovered to be affiliated.
The sexually assaulted girl was ordered to bring her 13-year-old sister and 16-year-old female cousin to Miryang the next time [3] so they could also be gang raped, which is where the cousin was sexually assaulted.
The original police report stated that the younger sister was sexually assaulted as well, but it may only have been a physical assault [4]. The attackers extorted money from their victims [5].
After the sisters' aunt reported the gang rapes to the police [1], only three of the boys were arrested. Following protests from the victims and an outraged public, another nine students were arrested, and 29 were charged.
The perpetrators family members threatened the victims, warning them that they should "watch out for reporting our sons to police" [3]. They were never charged for the crimes of intimidating witnesses, interference with an active case, or terroristic threats.

In a television interview, a female parent of one of the offenders stated, "Why should we feel sorry for the victim's family? Why don't you consider our suffering? Who can resist temptation when girls are trying to seduce boys? They should have taught their daughters how to behave in order to avoid this kind of accident" [5].
One girl victim reportedly quit school after repeated visits and verbal abuse from the offenders' parents [6], and the original victim is said to have attempted suicide on various occasions. More

Spinoza's ancestors, who were crypto-Jews, faced persecution during the Portuguese Inquisition, including torture and public displays of humiliation.

Asherah was considered the Goddess of the Sea, while "Her husband El" was considered the God of "Heaven" [9] or the sky [apparently making a fallen Lucifer the satanic God of Earth in later interpretations, though Earth has always been conceived of as feminine for receiving rain from the sky that makes seeds grow], making her the Queen of Heaven (long before Mother Mary, the Catholic Queen of Heaven, or Kwan Yin).

Judaism was never actually a monotheistic religion as many claim. It has always been henotheistic and for a long time quite polytheistic, in some even pantheistic.
Asherah was sometimes called ELat (Elat, like the pre-Islamic Goddess EL-lat or al-Lat), the feminine equivalent of El [10] and held titles such as "holy" (qdš), "lady" (rbt), or "progenitress of the gods" (qnyt ỉlm) [9].
Fertility Mother Goddess Asherah
Asherah's iconography frequently depicted Her with pronounced feminine sexual features, often combined with tree motifs like date palms, highlighting her role as a fertility goddess. Some artifacts, such as the Revadim Asherah figurines, illustrate her breastfeeding children or displaying sexual imagery, emphasizing her maternal and generative symbolism.
Asherah's worship may also be reflected in phallic Asherah poles, "cultic" objects [turned occult ("hidden") by patriarchal priests wishing to erase her from his-story] frequently mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, though scholars try to debate whether these represent the Goddess Herself or sacred symbols of the holy [11, 7].

Asherah's influence extended across many regions, including Israel and Judah (then Judea), Philistia (modern Gaza in Palestine), Egypt, Canaan, and Arabia (the Arabian Peninsula later Saudi Arabia), appearing -- like the counterpart male God -- under many different female names with many different roles rolled up into one omnipotent entity.
Asherah was considered the consort of Yahweh in the ancient Levant, as suggested by inscriptions at Kuntillet Ajrud and Khirbet el-Qom. But modern (post erasure) interpretations vary, and some scholars try to argue that these references describe holy objects rather than the Goddess [12, 13, 7].
Asherah bore many similarities with other goddesses -- such as Shapshu, Hathor, and Qetesh -- which strongly suggests her image and attributes influenced surrounding cultures.
What might have been if She were not erased?
Asherah was for millennia also linked to sacred fertility rites, which may have included women of status in ritual activities and priestesses. The denigrating association with temple prostitution, which in ancient times involved males and females, is now debated (and was clearly an attempt to explain Her away in the cover up after she was reduced and erased).
Asherah's worship was suppressed over time due to imposed monotheistic (henotheistic) reforms, and in later texts, references to Asherah were systematically erased by being retranslated as "groves" or "sacred trees" rather than directly as the Goddess. More
