Pope declares, ‘I am [Peter the] Roman!’ slams Israel, related to Beyonce?

Pope Leo’s plea: [Bibi,] open Gaza for humanity’s sake| DRM News | AK1B

ROME — [The new Black American (Creole)] Pope Leo XIV declared himself a Roman on Sunday as he completed the final ceremonial steps cementing his role as the bishop of Rome.

He speaks perfect U.S. English like no pope in history
  • [Is Pope Leo unaware of the prophecy of Saint Malachy, The Prophecy of the Popes, or is he admitting his identity as an antichrist figure, or is he shoving it in the faces of conspiracy theorists to mock them because he's actually the nicest guy anyone would ever want to meet, particularly at a ballgame in Chi Town or a Peruvian temple in the former Incan Empire?]
  • Petro, you are my Rocko; I make you 1st Papa
    COMMENTARY
: A "Peter" is a Rock (Petra), which is the foundation of the Church, which is a pope, as the first patriarch (pope) was. Perhaps to be a Peter is simply to be a Pope, so to say, "I am a Roman" is tantamount to teasing the world by saying, "I am Peter the Roman"(Petrus Romanus).

I would of done a bester job then thiz Black Guy
The first American pope formally took possession of the St. John Lateran Basilica, which is Rome’s cathedral and seat of the diocese, with an evening Mass attended by Roman priests and faithful.

In his homily, Pope Leo said he wanted to listen to them “in order to learn, understand, and decide things together.” One of the many titles that Leo assumed when he was elected May 8, 2025, was "bishop of Rome."

No, Sinead, give this one a chance first!
Given his responsibilities running the 1.4-billion strong universal Catholic Church [or what remains of the Holy Roman Empire], popes [who serve as CEOs of the corporation] delegate the day-to-day governance of running of the diocese of Roman to a vicar.

Sunday’s ceremonies at the St. John Lateran and a stop at St. Mary Major basilicas follow Pope Leo’s visit last week to the St. Paul Outside the Walls Basilica.

Together with St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, the four papal basilicas are the most important basilicas in the West. [The Vatican is its own country within Italy's Rome, called the Holy See or sometimes Vatican City, a powerful city-state that owes no allegiance to Italy.]
Who rules Rome rules the world.
Rome’s Mayor Roberto Gualtieri welcomed Pope Leo first at the steps to City Hall, noting that his May 8th election fell during a Holy Year, an event occurring every 25 years to invite pilgrims to Rome.

The city underwent two years of traffic-clogging public works projects to prepare and expects to welcome upward of 30 million people in 2025. More:

Who will be the next pope? Some of the top possible candidates

(CBS News) April 26, 2025: Who will be the next pope? Here's a look at some of the top possible papal candidates as the cardinals prepare for the papal conclave (Latin for "with key," i.e., "behind locked doors"), which will take place in early May, likely after Cinco de Mayo. They promise to start on May 7, 2025.
Who is "Peter the Roman"?
Archbishop Peter (Erdo) the Roman?
Hungary is a landlocked Central European country not far from Italy (ancient Rome). Spanning much of the Carpathian Basin, it is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine to the northeast, Romania to the east and southeast, Serbia to the south, Croatia and Slovenia to the southwest, and Austria to the west.

Hungary lies within the drainage basin of the Danube River and is dominated by great lowland plains. It has a population of 9.6 million, consisting mostly of ethnic Hungarians and a significant Romani minority.

I'm not the Devil. I'm Pope
Hungarian is the official language; it is among the few in Europe that lies outside the Indo-European family of languages [13].

Budapest is the country's capital and its largest city, the dominant cultural and economic center [14, 15]. Prior to the foundation of the Hungarian state, various peoples settled in the territory of present-day Hungary, including the Romans, Celts, Huns, Germanic peoples, Avars, and Slavs.

Hungarian statehood is traced to the Principality of Hungary, which was established in the late 9th century by Álmos and his son Árpád through the conquest of the Carpathian Basin [16, 17].

King Stephen I ascended the throne in 1000 and forcibly converted his realm into a Christian kingdom.

Map of Hungary, next to Italy = Rome
The medieval Kingdom of Hungary was a European power, reaching its height in the Late Middle Ages [18]. More Could anyone from modern Hungary be reasonably referred to as a "Roman"? If so and such a person bore the name "Peter," that would make that man "Peter the Roman" for predictive purposes, making Saint Malachy close enough in his ancient prediction.

COMMENTARY
Buddy knows this Rat' is Pope Benedict, right?
The funniest thing about the upcoming papal conclave is the FACT that anyone can be installed as pope. One only has to have been confirmed as a Catholic after First Communion, which doesn't actually mean one has to be a Catholic, just in official records. One could be confirmed now, before beginning. One could be the most popular kind of Catholic: Lapsed. Unlapse or say you're back. Oh, yeah, though -- most Catholics don't qualify. Boys only. It's an Old Boys' Club. It's the original corporation, all top-down hierarchy and a strict Patriarchy. Even though it can be anyone, the cardinals always pick a fellow cardinal. Go figure.
  • Prophecy of the Popes: Petrus Romanus (aka a dark skinned "Peter the Roman"?) Says who? Says Irish Catholic Saint MalachyProphetia Sancti Malachiae Archiepiscopi, de Summis Pontificibus (the "Prophecy of Saint-Archbishop Malachy, concerning the Supreme Pontiffs")
Fake white supremacy masks for Western church
Never mind the Virgin Mary. Like the name of a ship, most of which are by convention named after females, she's just for show. Anyway, it has already been decided, and this conclave business is all for show. Heard about the smoke? The color of it will tell if it's black or white. Isn't that a lovely imperial Roman custom? Who knew the Holy (See) Roman Empire (religious arm), as part of the Ring of Power and the Empire of the City, still ruled the world alongside Washington DC (military arm) and London's high-street (financial arm)?

Why do they say Francis was fake? (rense.com)

Lisa Simpson Buddhist for X-mas (Dec. 26)

The Simpsons; Ananda (Dharma Meditation), Dhr. Seven, Ellie Askew (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
(MonkeySaki) Lisa Simpson opens her third eye (ajna chakra) in meditation.

The Five Mental Hindrances and Their Conquest:
Selected Texts from the Pali Canon and the Commentaries compiled and translated by Ven. Nyanaponika Thera
Unshakable deliverance of mind -- nirvana -- is the highest goal in the Buddha's Teaching. Here, deliverance means the freeing of the mind from all limitations, fetters, and bonds that tie it to the Wheel of Suffering and the Cycle of Rebirth.

It means the cleansing of the mind of all defilements that mar its purity, the removing of all obstacles that bar its progress from mundane (lokiya) to supramundane consciousness (lokuttara-citta), that is, to full enlightenment or awakening.

Many are the obstacles that block the road to spiritual progress. But there are FIVE in particular that, under the name of the Five Hindrances (nivarana), are often mentioned in the Buddhist texts:
  1. Sensual desire (kamacchanda)
  2. Ill-will (byapada)
  3. Sleepiness and laziness (thina-middha)
  4. Restlessness and remorse (uddhacca-kukkucca)
  5. Skeptical doubt (vicikiccha).
Lenny, Carl, that's not the Buddha. That's Putai.
They are called "hindrances" because they hinder and envelop the mind (and heart) in many ways, obstructing its development (bhavana). According to Buddhism, spiritual development is twofold.

Kagyu Samye Ling (dunehypnotherapy.co.uk)
It comes about through tranquillity (samatha-bhavana) and through insight (vipassana-bhavana). Tranquillity is gained by complete serene-concentration of the mind during the meditative absorptions (jhanas).

For achieving these absorptions, the overcoming of the Five Hindrances, at least temporarily, is a preliminary condition. It is especially in the context of achieving the absorptions that the Buddha often mentions the Five Hindrances in sutras or discourses. More

Waiting for Ferguson (video)

With St. Nick's entry comes racial controversy: Police detained anti-Black Pete demonstrators wearing T-shirts reading "No to Black Pete" as St. Nicholas arrived in Gouda, Netherlands, Nov. 15, 2014. Black Pete (Dutch Zwarte Piet), the traditional black-faced sidekick of Santa Claus (Sinterklaas), walked side-by-side with yellow-colored "Cheese Petes" and "Cookie Petes," a nod to the city's most famous products, but also a concession to critics of the traditional Black Petes. The children's fairy tale that has delighted kids for generations is being framed as a very politicized debate in the Netherlands, where discussion about the place in society of immigrants has simmered for years. (DN!) A new film explores how African American communities have used the medium of photography to shape how they are represented. "Through A Lens Darkly" is directed and produced by Thomas Allen Harris, who shares his own family's history in the film. Allen Harris is also the creator of the related project, the Digital Diaspora Family Road Show. Both were inspired in part by the book, Reflections in Black: A History of Black Photographers, 1840 to the Present by Deborah Willis, who also produced the film. The Fire Next Time
(AudioGo) Like Ralph Ellison's The Invisible Man, the great James Baldwin, author of and The Fire Next Time, tells it like it is in the 1960s, and we still have not learned.

Front Cover
The Fire Next Time
A national bestseller when it first appeared in 1963, The Fire Next Time galvanized the U.S. and gave passionate voice to the emerging civil rights movement. At once a powerful evocation of James Baldwin's early life in Harlem and a disturbing examination of the consequences of racial injustice, the book is an intensely personal and provocative document. It consists of two "letters," written on the occasion of the centennial of the Emancipation Proclamation, that exhort Americans, both black and white, to attack the terrible legacy of racism. Described by The New York Times Book Review as "sermon, ultimatum, confession, deposition, testament, and chronicle...all presented in searing, brilliant prose," The Fire Next Time stands as a classic of our literature.

(RYF) This is an excerpt from Baldwin's N-gger, spoken in 1969 in London about the Black experience in the USA and how it relates to the Caribbean and Great Britain.

Ferguson October: Thousands march in St. Louis for police reform and the arrest of killer-cop Darren Wilson

Return of the Ferguson War Zone?
Mo. Enacts State of Emergency ahead of Mike Brown Grand Jury
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has declared a state of emergency in advance of the grand jury’s pending decision in the Police Officer Darren Wilson murder case in the Michael Brown shooting. On Monday, Gov. Nixon issued an executive order to activate the state’s National Guard in response to what he called "the possibility of expanded unrest." Nixon cited the protests in Ferguson and the St. Louis area since Brown, an unarmed black teenager, was killed by police officer Darren Wilson on August 9. The grand jury has been meeting for nearly three months, and protests are expected to escalate if they choose not to indict. But while state officials say they fear violence, protesters say they fear a return to the militarized crackdown that turned their community into a war zone. As the grand jury nears a decision and all sides prepare for the unknown under a state of emergency, we are joined by two guests: Jeff Smith, a New School professor and former Missouri state senator whose new book is Ferguson: In Black and White, and Montague Simmons, chair of the St. Louis-based Organization for Black Struggle and a key organizer in the movement that has emerged since unarmed teenager Michael Brown’s murder.

Sex Addiction: David Duchovny is not alone

Mulder & Scully together again: Duchovny, Anderson, and Carter on the set of upcoming X-files movie (forbiddenplanet.co.uk)

More becoming addicted to “quick click” self-gratification

For years David Duchovny, as agent Fox Mulder, chased down aliens and told us that we’re not alone. Now he's a sex addict who struggles with the issue in real life. He’s not alone either.

His recent entry into rehab for a self-described obsession with Internet porn has cast a national spotlight on a widely misunderstood issue that affects millions of Americans: sex addiction, specifically compulsive use of Internet-based pornography.

Although the term is commonly used in popular culture, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) does not yet recognize sex addiction as a condition, nor is it listed in their widely used clinical bible, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. But most experts agree that there are growing numbers of people who find themselves in the grip of compulsive sexual behaviors that are beyond their control — behaviors that seriously damage their lives as well as those of their loved ones.

Playing now at a computer near you

Once viewed as rare and obscure, the rapid proli-feration of Internet porn has brought the issue very much into the mainstream, affecting men and women alike. Porn addiction and sex addiction have become synonymous; a “quick click” of self-gratifica-tion can escalate into a self-destructive pattern of behavior (Christie Brinkley’s former hus-band, Peter Cook, is alleged to have spent more than $3,000 per month on his porn habit). Like any substance of abuse, porn becomes a form of escape — from depression, anger, stress, boredom, intimacy, as well as an array of other issues. Self-gratification becomes a way of self-medicating. More>>

The Problem in a Larger Context
What-Buddha-Taught.net

“Inconceivable, recluses, is the beginning of this Samsara. A first point is not known of beings roaming and wandering the round of rebirth, hindered by ignorance and fettered by craving [tanha = lust, thirst, desire, see Buddhist terms]."

"Recluses, which do you think is more, the stream of tears that you have shed as you roamed and wandered on through this long course, weeping and wailing because of being united with the undesir-able and separated from the desirable–this or the water in the four great oceans? The stream of tears that you have shed as you roamed and wandered on through this long course…this alone is greater than the water in the four great oceans…For such a long time, recluses, you have experienced suffering, anguish, and disaster, and swelled the cemeteries” (Assu Sutra, S.15.3).

“There will come a time when the mighty ocean will dry up, vanish and be no more…There will come a time when the mighty earth will be devoured by fire, perish and be no more. But yet there will be no end to the suffering [dukkha = unsatisfactoriness, see Buddhist terms] of beings roaming and wandering this round of rebirth, hindered by ignorance and fettered by craving” (Gaddulabaddha Sutra, S.22.99)

“Through many a birth I wandered in Samsara,
Seeking but not finding the builder of this house.
Painful it is to be born again and again.

“O house-builder! You are seen.
You shall build no house again.
All your rafters are broken.
Your ridgepole is shattered.

“My mind has attained the unconditioned.
Achieved is the end of craving.”

[Builder = craving, lust, desire; house: body (the Five Aggregates); rafters: defilements; ridgepole: ignorance] (Udana Vatthu, Dh.153-154).

This precious human birth
“Recluses, suppose this great earth were totally covered with water, and one were to toss a ring with a single hole in it. A wind from the east would push it west; a wind from the west would push it east. A wind from the north would push it south; a wind from the south would push it north. And suppose a blind sea-turtle swimming therein would come to the surface once every hundred years.

Now what do you think: Would that blind sea-turtle, coming to the surface only once every hundred years, stick his head through the ring with a single hole?"

"It would be a sheer coincidence, Venerable Sir, if the blind sea-turtle, coming to the surface once every hundred years, would stick its neck through the ring with a single hole."

"It's likewise a sheer coincidence that one obtains the human state. It's likewise a sheer coincidence that a Tathagata, perfectly self-awakened, arises in the world. It's likewise a sheer coincidence that a doctrine and discipline expounded by a Tathagata appears in the world. Now, this human state has been obtained. A Tathagata, perfectly self-awakened, has arisen in the world. A doctrine and discipline expounded by a Tathagata appears in the world” (Chiggala Sutta, Samyutta Nikaya 56.48).

So do not waste this precious human birth
Who knows by tomorrow, one may still be living or dead.
Thus reflecting, without procrastinating tomorrow or the day after,
One may incessantly exert right away on this very day
(Uparipan Bhaddekanatta Sutra 226).

“I teach one thing and one thing alone, namely, suffering and the end of suffering.

“Develop a mind of equilibrium.
You will always be praised and blamed,
But do not let either affect the poise of the mind:
Follow the calmness, the absence of pride” (Sutta Nipata).

“Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.”
