Satire is a dangerous thing in a post-ironic world with so many citizens suffering from severe irony deficiency, but we carry on. Did viewers send strongly worded complaint letters to The Simpsons, protesting this comically ironic episode? Blaming a scapegoat was done then, and Trump does it now. It seems Hitler's Nazis did it, too, and biblical Jews before them, where it was literally invented that Yaldabaoth (Yahweh) demanded blood, blood sacrifice, and killing to cleanse the people with blood.
(Access Hollywood) Sept. 4, 2025: The fourth episode of “South Park” Season 27 highlights the Labubu [aka demonicPazuzu] doll craze while continuing to focus on P-Diddy Trump.
In the latest episode (shown on Comedy Central, which aired Sept. 3rd, and is now on Paramount+), Fox News questions the 47th president’s sexual relationship with [a possibly underage] Satan as they note that Mrs. Melania Trump has been away in New York City, asking the diseased and decrepit 79-year-old Diddler Trump directly if he and Satan are sleeping together.
As the Fox News hosts speculate what is going on between them and how their gay romance works, they also praise the pairing.
At one point, a miniature Vice Pres. JD Vance appears at the White House with Satan, who reveals that he is struggling with the relationship but is holding on to a big secret.
Simultaneously, Butters and other South Park students are buying Labubus, which are only going up in price due to Trump's tax-raising tariffs. At the end of the episode, Satan reveals he’s pregnant with Trump’s baby, leading to overjoyed reactions from Fox News.

How many summers are there? There's cultural summer (starting on Memorial Day), meteorological summer (as the weather changes), seasonal (astronomical) summer (the real thing beginning with the summer solstice, June 21, 2025), and Indian summer (that lingering often very hot period after fall equinox). When school lets out for summer vacation, that's summer. The Los Angeles Unified School District just let out, so summer has begun...at least in Southern California, where it's kind of always summer.

佛陀教育法音宣流集 The Buddha’s Teaching: As It Is. It was 1981 at the Washington Buddhist Vihara in DC when American Buddhist monk Bhikkhu Bodhi finished recording ten talks explaining Buddhist basics published in March 2008. The original set of recordings came with additional material, including a glossary of terms that no longer seems to accompany the distributed CDs.
He began conceiving of a set of talks in the fall of 1979 as a WBV resident, composing lectures on the fundamental teachings of what the Buddha taught as recorded in the Pali canon of Theravada Buddhism.
Bhante Gunaratana, at the time the president of the Buddhist Vihara Society, suggested he record the lectures so that the monastery could distribute them as a set of ten cassette tapes, saving Ven. Bodhi from a wave of invitations to speak to his fellow Americans interested in understanding the teachings of the historical Buddha Gautama also known as Siddhartha and Shakyamuni.
It was the summer of 1981 in the monastery's basement when Ven. Bodhi recorded them using an ordinary, nonprofessional recording device. An enthusiastic lay supporter had the master copies reproduced in large quantities for distribution.
They have continued to be distributed on tape and as CDs for over a quarter century. Decades ago, a set arrived at the Los Angeles Buddhist Vihara when the future Dharma editor of Wisdom Quarterly first heard them, crisp, in modern English, covering deep topics with excellent breadth and depth, not getting too consumed by the details except when it became necessary to clear up misconceptions about the Buddhist meaning of nirvana (moksha, vimutti, complete liberation). Meeting Bhikkhu Bodhi at the offices of the Buddhist Publication Society (bps.lk) in Kandy, Sri Lanka, he granted permission that we distribute these talks and we have ever since.
O, Buddha, what's the best gift? - Dhamma-dana
He was sure that it was not necessary as these talks were further refined and incorporated into his books and the explanatory notes of his many translations of the ancient Buddhist texts of the Pali language canon, but we assured him that these original talks were still very valuable to a basic understanding.
They are now considered “public domain” for anyone to copy and distribute freely as a gift of Dharma or Dhamma-dana (not for profit). The one condition is that they must not be sold. The tapes are now on CDs containing the original ten lectures, available freely at BAUS.org, Buddhist Association of the United States, Chaung Yen Monastery, Carmel, Upstate New York.
It is recommended that they be listened to as recorded in the original sequence.
ABOUT: Bhikkhu Bodhi (born Jeffrey Block is born on Dec. 10, 1944) is a Jewish American Theravada Buddhist monk, ordained in Sri Lanka under Ven. Balangoda Ananda Maitreya Maha Thera. he now resides at Chaung Yen Monastery, Carmel, and still visits his former monastery, Bodhi Vihara (not named after him) in New Jersey. When he spoke this way, the Blessed One said to the Brahmin: "Do you know, Brahmin, who an outcast is and what the conditions are that make one an outcast?"
The Buddha was much respected.
"Actually, no, Venerable Gautama, I do not know who an outcast is nor the conditions that make one an outcast. It would be good if Venerable Gautama were to explain the Dhamma to me so that I might know who an outcast is and what the conditions are that make one an outcast."
[The abusive terms used by the Brahmin and the respectful address that follows need a word of explanation. The Brahmin had just prepared his offering to his God, Great Brahma, when his eyes fell upon the Buddha. To the Brahmin the sight of a wandering ascetic (samana), a shaven-headed recluse, is an unlucky omen. So he burst into angry words. The Buddha, however, was unruffled and spoke to him gently in words with a soft cadence. The Brahmin was apparently ashamed of his unskillful outburst and, repenting of his folly, addressed the Buddha courteously. Commentary: Note the Buddha's emphasis on anger and hatred in his very first stanza.]
"Listen then, Brahmin, and pay attention. I will explain."
"Yes, Venerable Sir," replied the Brahmin.
1. "Whoever is angry, harbors hatred, and is reluctant to speak well of others [discredits the good of others], perverse in views, deceitful — know that person as an outcast.
2. "Whoever in this world kills living beings, once born or twice born,* in whom there is no sympathy for living beings — know that person as an outcast.
[*Dvijam, birds, are "twice-born" in that they are first born as an egg and then are born again out of their shells when they hatch.]
3. "Whoever destroys and besieges villages and hamlets and becomes notorious as an oppressor — know that person as an outcast.
4. "Be it in village or forest, whoever steals what belongs to others, what is not freely given — know that person as an outcast.
5. "Whoever having actually incurred a debt runs away when pressed to pay it, saying, 'I owe no debt to you' — know that person as an outcast.
6. "Whoever, coveting anything, kills a person going along the road, and grabs whatever that person has — know that person as an outcast.
7. "One who for one's own sake or for the sake of another or for the sake of wealth, utters lies when questioned as a witness — know that person as an outcast.
8. "Whoever by force [rape] or with consent [adultery] associates with the spouses of relatives or friends — know that person as an outcast.
Good karma: Treat parents like buddhas.
9. "Whoever having wealth supports not one's own mother and father who have grown old — know that person as an outcast.
10. "Whoever strikes and annoys by [harsh] speech, mother, father, brother, sister, mother-in-law, or father-in-law — know that person as an outcast.
11. "Whoever, when questioned about what is good, says what is detrimental, and talks in an evasive manner — know that person as an outcast.
12. "Whoever, having committed an unskillful deed, wishes that it may not be discovered by others, and commits harm in secret — know that person as an outcast.
13. "Whoever, having gone to another's house and partaken of choice food, does not honor that host by offering food when receiving a visit — know that person as an outcast.
14. "Whoever deceives a Brahmin priest or wandering ascetic or any other mendicant [alms person] by uttering lies — know that person as an outcast.
15. "Whoever when a Brahmin or wandering ascetic appears during mealtime angers that person by harsh speech and does not offer that person [any alms] — know that person as an outcast.
16. "Whoever in this world, shrouded by ignorance, speaks harsh words (asatam) or falsehood [asantamtipi patho (SnA)] expecting to gain something — know that person as an outcast.
17. "Whoever, debased by pride, exalts oneself and belittles others — know that person as an outcast.
18. "Whoever is given to anger, is miserly, has base desires, and is selfish, deceitful, shameless, and fearless [in doing what is unskillful] — know that person as an outcast.
19. "Whoever reviles the Enlightened One [the Buddha], a disciple of the Buddha, a recluse, or a householder — know that person as an outcast.
20. "Whoever not being an enlightened person, a consummate one, pretends to be one, is a thief in the whole universe — the lowest of outcasts.
21. "Not by birth is one an outcast; not by birth is one a Brahmin. By deed one becomes an outcast, and by deed one becomes a Brahmin.
22. "Know by the example now cited [the fact that by birth one is not an outcast]: There was an outcast's son, Sopaka, who became known as Matanga.
23. "This Matanga attained the highest fame difficult to gain. Many were the warriors (kshatriyas) and Brahmins who went to attend on him.
24. "Mounting the celestial chariot [the Noble Eightfold Path, and driving] along the passion-free high road, [Sopaka, now a monk], reached the Brahma realm having given up sense-desires.
25. "His [lowly] birth did not prevent him from being reborn in the Brahma realm. There are Brahmins born in the family of preceptors, kinsmen of [Vedic] hymns.
26. "They are often seen committing unskillful deeds. In this life itself they are despised, in the next they are reborn in an unfortunate state of existence. High birth does not prevent them from falling into a woeful state or from censure [here and now].
27. "Not by birth is one an outcast; not by birth is one a Brahmin. By deed one becomes an outcast, and by deed one becomes an Brahmin."
Honoring the worthy ones is good karma.
When the Buddha had spoken, the Brahmin Aggika Bharadvaja said to him:
"Excellent, O Venerable Gautama, excellent! O Venerable Gautama, it is just as if a person were to set upright what had been overturned, or were to reveal what had been hidden, or were to point the way to one who had gone astray, or were to hold an oil lamp to the dark so that those with eyes might see things, even so in many ways has Venerable Gautama expounded the Dharma, the Doctrine.
"I go for guidance (sarana) to Venerable Gautama, the Dharma, and the [Arya-] Sangha [the community of those disciples along the stages of enlightenment]. May Venerable Gautama accept me as a lay follower who has gone for guidance from this day onwards so long as life lasts."

Can The Simpsons really predict the future? No. When has it ever? Yeah, well, except for those times, but that was pure coincidence, luck of the draw, and anyone could have seen those things coming. Why should this be any different? The King is well-fed; long live the King!

Buddhism does not have "popes," but one might think so. The former Empire of Tibet, which extended from Mongolia to Bangladesh and across the Himalayas, developed a patriarchal "cardinal" and "bishop" system frighteningly like the rimpoches and high lamas (plus tulkus like Jesus the vegan Nazarene) of Roman Catholicism.
(Or is that the other way around? Same difference). Chinese atheist communists put a stop to that by nearly wiping out Lhasa (the Holy See at the center of the empire) and the Potala Palace (Vatican) at the center of that.
The dalai lama system goes a little further than Roman Catholicism in claiming that "His Holiness" the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso, Lhamo Thondup) is a tulku (unmistaken child), the reincarnation of the God/Goddess (Deva/Devi) of Compassion Avalokitesvara/Chenrezik (Kwan Yin), returning again and again like some kind of Virgin Mary to hear the cries of the world and pour out blessings like cooling water from a Hindu goddesses' vase to heal the suffering of devotees.
The selection of the next dalai lama is not an election but a search and discovery of where he has gotten to in his next rebirth, which is what a tulku is, a consciously reborn Buddhist master returning on purpose to continue his work in this world. This is unique to Vajrayana Buddhism, and only prominent in the Tibetan cultural practices of this amalgamation of Himalayan Bon shamanism (black magic) and Mahayana Buddhism ("great vehicle") tradition.
If you join, you still can't be powerful like us.
This gives the person of the Dalai Lama great power as pope and king, though China tore away his political power and left him only a spiritual leader and symbol of a nation and countless sympathetic outsiders, most of them in the US and EU with the help of the CIA, PR firms working to benefit dalailama.com (not necessarily hired by the organization), and anti-China forces.
As such, the 14th Dalai Lama's blessing carries immense power and influence, so much so that the current person in office says he may not be reborn at all next time, or that he may come back as a female, a hot one (no joke), outside of the Sinosphere, far from Asia and China's meddling.
