Priests invented Christian/Catholic hell

(Beyond Sacred Beliefs) 7 lies about hell so absurd the Church never dares to explain Jewish Sheol (like the gloomy and shadowy "hells" of many religions), ancient Greek Hades (the Greek underworld), not "hell" but the eternal afterlife of sleep, quiet, cold, or doom like Jewish Abaddon and Greek Apollyon. The "Gates of Gehenna" were literal gates of the municipal dump where the poor unable to afford or those deemed unworthy of a "proper" burial were therefore disgraced by getting thrown into. There they (their carcasses now bereft of life) were "eaten by worms" in ignominy, surrounded by sulfuric smells and smoldering smoke day and night along with the gnashing of dead teeth, ground up into waste amid the lamenting wails of loved ones. How many lies have we been told by the official Church?

Right-Left agree: FBI put out fake texts

(New York Post) Sept. 19, 2025: Police bodycam video obtained by Scripps News shows alleged Charlie Kirk shooter Tyler Robinson interacting with officers after getting into a car crash in St. George, Utah in 2022. #charliekirk #news #utah

The end of The Simpsons? Family Guy?

Why Family Guy has suddenly become hated

This is it, Stewie? - Whaaat, Brian? - Nothing.
(Alex Griffin) May 27, 2025: Fans are calling for Family Guy to be canceled—and not because of some big controversy. Former fans are just sick of it. That's hard to believe, considering this was once the show fans fought to bring back after it got axed early on. What changed? How did ratings plummet from 9.22 to 0.96? And why is a show that was just renewed suddenly one of the most hated on TV? (Oh, Seth MacFarlane, what have you done now?) Contact: contactprecrymedia@gmail.com

Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka (Fresh Air)

I have a new comedy special called "Father."
The new Margaret Cho? Comedian Atsuko Okatsuka [the u's are silent] is known for finding humor in the dysfunction of her immigrant family.

Born in Taiwan to Japanese and Taiwanese parents, she traveled from Japan to Los Angeles with her grandmother and mother when she was 8 for what she thought was a short vacation.

In fact, they were moving. It would be years before Okatsuka saw her father again. She later described being "kidnapped" by her grandmother on a 2023 episode of This American Life.

"My grandma and I hadn't really talked about it in depth until [then]," she says. "And it helped that I got to do with Ira [Glass, host of This American Life] and the thousands and thousands of thousands of listeners at the same time, then I'm really not alone." More + AUDIO

The real George Carlin on Donald Trump

Seth Auberon, Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Who to choose, who to choose. On the one hand there's this old white man. He sucks. On the other hand, there's this other old white man. He sucks, too. He may suck even worse. But it could hardly be worse than it is right now, with US funding for war crimes in Israel, Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, the Mediterranean, Syria, and the whole volatile region made constantly worse by Israel and CIA-groomed PM Netanyahu, and our permanent war economy. Couldn't the other at least not play into it? We revile and detest them both, but when living in a One-Party system, the Money Party, with two wings fighting for the same things but emphasizing and doing PR as if they are polar opposites, there's little cause for optimism. Now who's this horrible sounding RFK? He is saying some good stuff. Jill Stein is running Green. There just may be a break in the election, when the Devil decides to smite one or the other of these senile old guys and take away their arms sales budgets and weapon funding.

BS: US flies to asteroid, scoops, returns?

Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, Sheldon S., Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly Wiki edit
It doesn't look real or capable of a billion+ mile flight. That's because it isn't. It's an artist's rendition because NASA won't release a non-CGI photo of the real thing, if there is a real thing.

We'll name it after Osiris then invent an acronym.
We call BS on "OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, Security, Regolith Explorer) is a NASA (NAZIesque "Never A Straight Answer" organization) asteroid-study and sample-return mission.

We are supposed to believe that it just completed a miraculous primary mission of visiting an asteroid hurtling through the vacuum of empty space and collecting ground samples from 101955 Bennu, a carbonaceous near-Earth asteroid [12]?

The [coffee grounds worth of] material, allegedly returned on Sept. 24, 2023 [13], is expected to enable scientists on Earth to learn more about the formation and evolution of the Solar System, its initial stages of planet formation, and the source of organic compounds that led to the formation of life on Earth [14], because many different extraterrestrials could surely not have been involved in coming to this rock and setting things in motion or checking back in from time to time, mining gold and rare earth minerals, taking wives, leaving DNA, and whisking off to other projects in the galaxy.
  • Buddhism's Genesis account (the Agganna Sutta or "Discourse on Origins") suggests life began on Earth an incredibly long time ago, not naturally originating out of an organic broth in a soupy sea of carbon elements and amino acids necessary for life as we know it, by virtue of radiant space beings landing here, liking the sensual experience of things, and degrading -- devolving by devolution -- over the aeons (kalpas). It says nothing of "life" itself originating here. It's everywhere in the ten thousand directions of the universe (portion of the bubble like multiverse), inconceivably old, cyclical, expanding and contracting, chaotic and organized, not beginning but continuing. Those beings who alighted on this plane, because earth is described as a plane of concentric circle divided by insurmountable heights with different types of being currently inhabiting it, each group under their own sun and moon, with their own customs, appearances, lifespans, cultures, and habits, meeting by rulers who possess a special treasure that makes meeting possible -- a vimana or space vehicle capable of traveling from one world to another -- and, rightly speaking, it should be possible to call all of these beings "human," as they are all humanoids, and "earthlings," as they are all on the plane. Moreover, there are other planes below where other advanced beings abide. Just as there is all this life here that we are not generally aware of, as shown on some maps but not the official ones, there is life all over the solar system and elsewhere.
Burnt marshmallow that fell in the sand or Asteroid Bennu spinning in open space?
.
What does our Secret Space Program do, Semjase?
Afterward, its mission was extended to conduct proximity operations and in-depth study of asteroid 99942 Apophis as OSIRIS-APEX (Apophis Explorer) [15]. Oh, brother, allegedly extends.

OSIRIS-REx was launched on Sept. 8, 2016 -- though we never heard anything about that -- flew past Earth on Sept. 22, 2017 -- completely under our radar as media watchers -- and allegedly rendezvoused with Bennu on Dec. 3, 2018 [16].

It spent the next two years analyzing the surface to find a suitable site from which to extract a sample. Oh, brother! The media reported that it swooped in, extending an arm, scrapping off some random surface material from its pristine fingerprint of the early universe, like a sterile crime scene. The Big Bang sneezed dust, it landed on Bennu, rested there for billions upon billions of years, and we are the first to get our hands on it. Incredible. Unbelievable. BS.

On Oct. 20, 2020, OSIRIS-REx touched down on Bennu and successfully collected a sample [17, 18,19, 20]. OSIRIS-REx departed Bennu on May 10, 2021 [21, 22] and returned its sample to Earth on Sept. 24, 2023 [23], subsequently starting its new mission to study 99942 Apophis.

Sure, it did. Why not? There's a picture of it all burned up, sitting in the desert, except for that bright yellow spot. Why not?

The spacecraft [like a gnat in space, tinsel and fragile] will arrive at Apophis in April 2029, around when the asteroid is expected to encounter Earth.

Bennu was chosen as the target of study because it is a "time capsule" from the birth of the Solar System [24]. Oy vey 🙄, here we go.

Bennu has a very dark surface and is classified as a B-type asteroid, a sub-type of the carbonaceous C-type asteroids. Such asteroids are considered primitive, having undergone little geological change from their time of formation.

In particular, Bennu was selected because of the availability of pristine carbonaceous material, a key element in organic molecules necessary for life as well as representative of matter from before the formation of Earth. Organic molecules, such as amino acids, have previously been found in meteorite and comet samples, indicating that some ingredients necessary for life can be naturally synthesized in outer space [1].

There ya have it. What more is there to say? We must have a secret space program to do such missions, if they're done at all, because we do not have the technology in our open budget programs. If only NASA were a truthful and transparent organization.

The alleged billion-dollar price tag
The cost of the OSIRIS-REx mission is approximately US$800 million [25], PLUS the cost of the Atlas V launch vehicle, which is about another US$183.5 million [26]. And what with the OSIRIS-APEX extended mission costs, that's an additional US$200 million [15].

It is the third planetary science mission selected in the New Frontiers program, after Juno and New Horizons. The principal investigator is Dante Lauretta from the University of Arizona.

OSIRIS-REx was the first United States spacecraft to return samples from an asteroid; the earlier, similar Japanese probe Hayabusa returned samples from 25143 Itokawa in 2010, and Hayabusa2 allegedly returned from 162173 Ryugu in Dec. 2020. Oh, those pesky Japanese nontheistic Buddhists and atheistic scientists are ahead of us and have better engineers, STEM graduates, and math nerds? There's a surprise. More

Liberated from Myth of American dream

Alissa Quart, Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzalez (democracynow.org); Ed., Wisdom Quarterly

Alissa Quart on Liberating Ourselves from the Myth of the American Dream
Republic of Outsiders Alissa Quart (NYT)
(Democracy Now!) March 29, 2023. Journalist Alissa Quart (author of Squeezed), executive director of the Economic Hardship Reporting Project, talks about her new book, Bootstrapped: Liberating Ourselves from the American Dream, which examines myths about individualism and self-reliance that underpin the U.S. economy and the inequality it fosters. Banks get welfare bailouts in the billions, but we don't shame them the way we do a single parent living on scraps. Quart says a focus on "succeeding through hard work" obscures the degree to which many rich and powerful people have benefited from social support, resulting in a cycle of "shame and blame" [and severe racial inequality] for those who fall short.
An unsparing, incisive, yet ultimately hopeful look at how we can shed the American obsession with self-reliance that has made us less healthy, less secure, and less fulfilled.

The promise that we can “pull ourselves up by our bootstraps” is central to the story of the American Dream. It’s the belief that if we work hard and rely on our own resources, we will eventually succeed.

However, time and again we have seen how this foundational myth, with its emphasis on individual determination, brittle self-sufficiency, and personal accomplishment, does not help us.

Instead, as income inequality rises all around us, we are left with shame and self-blame for our condition.

BOOK
Acclaimed journalist Alissa Quart argues that at the heart of our suffering is a do-it-yourself ethos, the misplaced belief in our own independence, and the conviction that we must rely on ourselves alone.

Looking at a range of delusions and half solutions — from “grit” to the false Horatio Alger story to the rise of GoFundMe — Quart reveals how we have been steered away from robust social programs that would address the root causes of our problems.

Meanwhile, the responsibility for survival has been shifted onto the backs of ordinary people, burdening generations with debt instead of providing the social safety net we so desperately need.

Insightful, sharply argued, and characterized by Quart’s lively writing and deep reporting, and for fans of Evicted and Nickel and Dimed, Bootstrapped is a powerful examination of what ails us at a societal level and a plan for how we can free ourselves from these self-defeating narratives. Bootstrapped

What evil does the CIA do for the USA? (video)

A Day In History, Jan. 16, 2023; Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

These bizarre CIA documents expose the most horrifying secrets
(A Day In History) Jan. 16, 2023. The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA or "The Company") has been a core part of the United States’ offensive against domestic and foreign enemies and innocents for decades.

However, it has attracted plenty of criticism for its diabolical methods and motives over the years. Declassified documents are fueling this criticism, revealing all manner of illegal and unethical conduct hidden in the CIA’s skeleton closet.

Many of the declassified secrets are more absurd than creepy. Wacky plots and absurd technology like bird spy drones, catfish spy drones, dragonfly spy drones -- a lot of animal spy drones, come to think of it -- are among the stranger revelations from declassified archives.

But some of these documents reveal far more gruesome secrets. Plans for illegal political assassinations, mind control, torture, drugging, and even inciting international wars reveal that the CIA has gotten up to far more than the public ever suspected.

Today, let's look at some of the darkest secrets of the CIA that were exposed thanks to declassified documents.

Baking: Making Bread from Weed (video)

The King of Random, Joseph & Joseph, Good and Basic; CC Liu, S.Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly

Dude, let's make bread instead of getting high.
A better gluten-free option would be to use sorghum, brown rice, quinoa, amaranth, tapioca, potato, organic corn, or even glutinous rice. Dr. Joel Wallach at criticalhealthnews.com warns that everyone who wants to be healthy will avoid 13 foods -- including wheat, rye, barley, and oats.

(Yes, oats are almost exclusively gluten, which the plant uses to protect itself from being eaten. The "gluten free" label refers to wheat gluten, because oat gluten is not called "gluten" but avenins, prolamins, or gliadins.) Gluten is starch-glue, as used in papier mache, that makes bread stretchy and chewy, which feels and tastes good but is harmful and addictive. It damages the lining of the intestines, curtailing absorption of nutrients like minerals and vitamins, and it contains comforting heroin-like compounds.
Let's make veggie burgers from Impossible
Intolerance to certain gluten proteins includes oats: Gluten is present in wheat, barley, rye (as shown in this video), oat, and all their species and hybrids.[2][21] So it cannot be "gluten free" even if the bag says so in big red letters. It contains hundreds of proteins, with high contents of prolamins.[22] Oat prolamins, called avenins, are similar to toxic gliadins found in wheat, hordeins in barley, and secalins in rye (as in the weed here), which are collectively named "gluten."[2] Avenins toxicity in celiac people depends on the oat cultivar consumed... So you want to be a writer? (Here's how!)

The Guardian.com, May 2017); Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly

How to write a killer opening line. Why Google is not research. When to rip it up and start again. Whatever you do, just write! -- lessons from acclaimed novelist and creative writing Prof.

[Anyone can be a writer, but how does one get to be a published writer?]
Dear Editors, I have lots of Buddhist opinions.
“Nobody can advise you and help you, nobody,” said Rainer Maria Rilke in Letters to a Young Poet more than a century ago. “There is only one way. Go into yourself.”

Rilke, of course, was right -- nobody but yourself can help. In the end it all comes down to the strike of the word on the page, not to mention the strike thereafter, and the strike after that. But Rilke was taken by the request from a young writer, and he corresponded with Franz Xaver Kappus in 10 letters over the course of six years.

Rilke’s was advice on matters of religion, love, feminism, sex, art, solitude, and patience, but it was also keyed into the life of the poet and how these things might shape the words upon the page.

I'm blasting off for a new career or hobby!
“This most of all,” he says. “Ask yourself in the most silent hour of night: must I write?”

Everybody who has ever felt the need to write knows the silent hour. I have come across many such people -- and indeed many such hours -- during my writing and teaching life. I’ve been teaching now for the best part of 20 years.

That’s a lot of chalk and a lot of red pencil. I haven’t loved every minute of it, but I’ve loved most. There’s been a National Book award for one student. A Booker prize for another. Guggenheims. Pushcarts. Mentorships. Friendships. But let’s be honest, there has been burnout, too. There’s been weeping and gnashing of teeth. There have been walkouts. Collapses. Regret.

All of these students, bar none, are looking, in Rilke’s words, “to say ecstasies that are unsayable.” The unsayable indeed. The job is theirs. The ability to trust in the difficult. The tenacity to understand that it takes time and patience to succeed.

There are no rules?
“There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.”
- W. Somerset Maugham

There are no rules. Or if there are any rules, they are only there to be broken. Embrace these contradictions. You must be prepared to hold two or more opposing ideas in the palms of your hands at the same time. More

Death of Nobel: Bob Dylan wins lit prize

Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells, Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly; Alex Shepherd (The Republic)

WTH?! This is impossible!
Has the academy lost all credibility first with Obama now with Dylan?

"The times they are a changin'." Pulitzer Prize-winning Jewish-Christian folk-hippie troubadour/poet Bob Dylan (who allegedly chose his nom de plume after the famous poet Dylan Thomas, which he denies) has been voted the latest Nobel Laureate in "literature."

I love war. I never said I didn't, kids.
After voting Pres. B. S. [Barry Soetoro a.k.a. Barack Hussein] Obama a Nobel Peace Prized Laureate before he went on a killing rampage of conducting illegal drone assassinations (executions) by executive decree and expanding wars and Bush-era programs like mass surveillance and mass incarceration, the Swedish foundation has outdone itself. It has voted a peculiar folk/pop star Bob Dylan its latest laureate in literature.

This news comes from Sweden (where, sadly, they did not choose Woody Guthrie or Joni Mitchell who were more deserving). Dylan's archives were recently purchased and will be housed at the University of Tulsa.

He plays this weekend at Coachella's "Desert Trip." So potheads will be headed en masse to see a laureate perform his literature before an unusually big crowd. Elvis must feel cheated.
Bob Dylan [born Robert Zimmerman] wins the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature
Alex Shepherd, The New Republic
What about Sanders? Did the Nobel Academy figure out Bernie was a sell out/fraud?

I have real audacity; I ain't givin' my medal back!
An American has won the Nobel Prize in Literature for the first time in 23 years.

But in a shocking decision, songwriter Bob Dylan -- not novelists Philip Roth, Don DeLillo, or Thomas Pynchon [or folk superstars Woody Guthrie or Joni Mitchell] -- won “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”

Dylan’s citation also compared him to [the Ancient Greek poet and author of the Odyssey and Iliad] Homer -- the Swedish Academy had to reach back 3,000 years to find a precedent.

Born [Jewish] Robert Zimmerman in 1941, Dylan was the enfant terrible of the New York City folk scene -- a impish trickster who annoyed (and stole from) many of his elders, particularly Dave Van Ronk and Pete Seger.

Dylan [who later converted to Christianity] first broke out in the early 1960s as a part of a growing movement of songwriters who were writing and performing topical material about the Civil Rights Movement and other current events.

Dylan has been labeled a “topical songwriter” since that period, but he spent only a short period writing songs like “When The Ship Comes In” and “The Times They Are A Changin’”... More
