One of the cornerstone beliefs of many religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Taoism, Shintoism, and Zoroastrianism is the idea of reincarnation (or rebirth in Buddhism).
[In fact, all three world religions (Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam) teach rebirth. It's just that in modern Christianity and Islam, those rebirths will be in only one of two places, heaven or hell, and will number just one more. Earlier Christianity taught reincarnation, as Edgar Cayce realized, but it was edited out at the Council of Nicea, as it made the religion more useful to the imperial ambitions of evangelists like Emperor Constantine.]
From the Orphics, Pythagoreans, and Platonists to the Essenes [like Gnostic Jesus], Pharisees, and Karaites, from Polynesian Kahunas and Brazilian Umbandas to the Jamaican Rastafarians and American Indians, the Gauls, the Druids, the Celts, the Gnostics, and even early Christians all believed in reincarnation.
Great minds like Plato, Socrates, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Voltaire, Hume, Schopenhauer, Goethe, Emerson, Whitman, Napoleon, Franklin, Tagore, and Gandhi all believed that our stream of consciousness, our "souls" [atta or atman, an impersonal process transcending rebirths], survive bodily death and continue on.

Winter also hits the mountains of Los Angeles
The winter solstice, also called the hibernal solstice (or the best time to hibernate), is said to occur when either of Earth's poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the local sun.
This happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere (Northern and Southern). For each hemisphere, the winter solstice is the day with the shortest period of daylight and longest night of the year, when the sun is at its lowest daily maximum elevation in the sky [7].
Each polar region experiences continuous darkness or twilight around its winter solstice.
This solstice occurs during the hemisphere's winter.
In the Northern Hemisphere, this is the December solstice (usually Dec. 21 or 22) and in the Southern Hemisphere, this is the June solstice (usually June 20 or 21).
Although the winter solstice itself lasts only a moment, the term also refers to the day on which it occurs.
Stonehenge was rearranged to what we see
The term midwinter (which would seem to mean "middle of the winter") is also used synonymously with the winter solstice, although it carries other meanings as well.
Traditionally, in many temperate regions, the winter solstice is seen as the middle of winter, though today in some countries and calendars it is seen as the beginning of winter.

What if Earth is flat like Eric Dubay PROVES and Buddhist, Chirstian, Hindu cosmologies state?
"Proves"?! When did Eric Dubay (ericdubay.com) "prove" the earth was flat? - He gave 200 proofs that are yet to be debunked. But he's persona non grata and the whole topic is verboten.
It's so bad that a government agency paid social media influencers on YouTube and elsewhere to make popular videos to "debunk" the rising flat earth movement. They can't deal with actual evidence presented by Dubay, so they go after strawmen and silly assumptions about what living on a flat disk would be like, never mind the evidence of their own senses and how water behaves and how engineers building railroad tracks and pilot flying planes treat the surface of this platform or plane. In fact, the debunkers do such a poor job that it remains a truism that the best way to become a flat earther is to try to debunk the actual evidence, the actual proof that we are not on a spinning ball of the dimensions claimed by popular science. (We might be on a much bigger ball with more continents; that's not impossible, but what's certain is that we are being lied to and deceived by NASA and ESA and other government entities. Why is anyone's guess. Let's stick to the proof. Why will no one deal with that?

The 31 Planes of Existence (we are reborn in)
It goes beyond the shape of the planet to the distance of things like our moon, the cause of eclipses (which in Buddhist, Vedic, Hindu, and Jain cosmologies is due to another planetary body called Rahu), the age of things as well as the shape of space and our multiverse (that are plentiful and globular like bubbles in space), with cosmic time being measured in kalpas or aeons, a great aeon (mahakalpa) being, according to the Buddha, the length of time it would take for an unbroken piece of granite, one mile high and one mile long, to be ground down and eroded away if a bird came once a year and brushed its beak on it while holding a fine muslin cloth. Sooner would that block of perfect granite be worn away, and still a kalpa would not have elapsed. It's staggering. In that length of time many things can happen, as things evolve, devolve, become chaotic, repeat. This is the universe we live in, which is quite like the other universes or world systems (cakkavalas) within them.
What about “science”? Let's do science, proposing a thesis and advancing evidence

But I don't want the earth to be flat! I don't want to fall off!
Then, in your mind, let it be the way someone else explained it to you. Whatever shape it is, we are not falling off. (What would be the source of gravity pulling us down off the plane into space below be?) Doesn't everybody want the Truth, the reality, the knowing-and-seeing of things as they actually are (objectively if possible or knowledge that all we'll ever get is subjective)? We prefer Truth with a capital t, wisdom, knowing, holding onto kindness and compassion. The combination is the way to awakening (bodhi).
Thank you, Eric Dubay, for standing up to the powers-that-be with a dissenting opinion and PROOF for it. That's the ultimate thing. The rest of the world can put their faith in NASA and the CIA and newspapers like the USSR's Pravda.
What the Buddha Taught
Would the Buddha bother with the shape of the world? It's not related to our enlightenment, so it's not crucial or worth spending too much time on. What is the origin of the sea? Is the universe (multiverse) finite or infinite? Is it the same person who is reborn or a different one? How will this karma (action) work itself out in terms of karmic-results? These are imponderable questions not conducive to enlightenment, so set them aside. Some questions conduce to awakening, some do not. Which ones do? What is dukkha, its cause, its end, the way to its end? Those are wise questions that do lead to awakening. Pursue those.
(Eric Dubay) May 1, 2024: Before the establishment of the Roman Orthodox Church, dating back to the first century A.D., the Gnostics were a sect of Christians with a very different set of beliefs from what the new blossoming religion of Christianity would soon become.
The Gnostics insisted they were in fact the original Christians and that the Roman Church leaders were imposters co-opting and changing their mythology.
Many original founders like Marcion [the creator of the first Bible] and Tatian were actually devout Gnostics who would later leave the Orthodoxy, claiming the church was “setting up the fraud of historic Christianity.”
Gnosticism continued to flourish alongside the Roman Church until it was declared heresy and outlawed by Emperor Constantine in 325 A.D.
Once the Orthodox Bible became canonized, all extra-biblical Gnostic gospels (the Apocrypha) were considered heretical and either hidden or destroyed on threat of death.
By the turn of the next century, any remaining Gnostics still openly practicing were hunted down as heretics...
What's so special about Marcion? Marcion concluded that many of the teachings of [good, kind, merciful] Jesus were incompatible with the actions of [genocidal, jealous, angry] Yahweh (YWVH, Jehovah). He concluded this by studying the Hebrew Bible[a simplistic version of the story told in a crude language with only 8,000 original words, which was derived from the much more sophisticated Ancient Greek and its half million words, according to classicist Dr. D.A.C. Hillman], along with received writings circulating in the nascent Church. Yahweh is characterized as the belligerent god of the Hebrew Bible. Marcion responded by developing a di-theistic system of belief around the year 144 [Note 2]. This notion of two gods — a Higher Transcendent One [a kind of Brahman] and a Lower World-Creator and Ruler [a kind of Maha Brahma] — allowed Marcion to reconcile perceived contradictions between harsh Christian Covenant theology and the nicer gospel proclaimed by the New Testament.

These are men of Science, the only true religion! Although they didn't see reality directly, like a mystic strives to, they are reporting what those gatekeepers on high in the University have dictated they should say.

COMMENTARY
We don't know the shape of the earth. Our Go Pro camera with fish-eye lens replaced with a flat lens, attached to a GPS-trackable phone and weather balloon, can't get high enough to detect the alleged curvature.
We assume our plane is neither globular nor flat but contoured with local sun and moon, as Buddhist texts describe.
And there may well be concentric rings of mountains (the first being what we call "Antarctica" which can be reached by going in any direction) around a central Mt. Sumeru (Sumer-ian launch pad along energetic lines of force streaming out of the center like the pole of a magnet or a translucent dome?) that divides the multiple "world systems" (lokas) here on what we call our planet with other planes above (akasha deva lokas) and below (Agartha).
But what about eclipses -- don't they prove the earth, sun, and moon are balls? No. They are not the cause of eclipses. If they were they would not be visible on the horizon during eclipses as they are from time to time. Rahu (Black Sun?), being the same size as the sun and moon, is the cause of eclipses.
We're willing to do the empirical research to prove otherwise rather than relying on NASA's CGI works of fictional art.
But what about our lifelong indoctrination? What about the spinning globe on our teacher's desk? It's not easy to awaken to the beautiful truth in a world of universal deception, but we're willing to try. We don't know the truth. But we do know we've been lied to, so let's question authority and search for the truth.

The doors to the "gas chambers" did not lock from the outside, a small but telling detail as to their true purpose; a jail is not built that prisoners can simply open by pushing. To say so, or dare to question mainstream "history," is to risk accusations of holocaust denial. A tough childhood and daddy issues
Born in Austria (not Germany) on on "4-20" or April 20, 1889, Adolf Hitler was the fourth of six children. His parents were Alois Hitler and Klara Hitler. His relationship with his father was a difficult one [which is an understatement, Dads].
Hitler refused to follow a similar career as his father’s. Adolf wanted to become an artist, whereas his father was a customs officer. However, twice he failed to get admission to the General School of Painting at the Viennese Academy of Fine Arts [due to less than inspired art, leading some to ponder how much less bad the world would be for one more dull artist rather than a genius dictator].

He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939, the year he was attacked on his own soil after repeatedly pleading for peaceful solutions. In 1936, 99% of Germany's registered voters went out to vote, and 98.8% voted for Hitler. The Jewish influenced/controlled media has painted a picture of pure evil ever since. This Jew or New World Order has even enacted laws in 18 European countries prohibiting free speech regarding the issues of Judaism and the Holocaust and Israel's national war against Palestinians, explains Dubay.]
Politics of Adolf Hitler
During WWI, he enlisted into the Bavarian part of the German Army. There, one of his roles was that of a trench runner. He was, according to himself, one of the only 42 survivors out of a company of 250 strong men. He also received the Iron Cross twice for his bravery.
Hitler’s emergence on the political scene began in 1919 in Munich. He joined as a speaker for the German Workers Party. In just two years, he officially became the chairman of the NSDAP in July 1921. The party was also referred to as Hitler’s Nazi Party.
Hitler’s first attempt to grasp power was when he -- with 2,000 of his brown shirt Nazi supporters -- tried to seize power in Munich in November 1923. The coup, however, failed. Hitler was charged with treason upon his arrest.
The political establishment of Munich did not want to give rise to rumors of being accomplices in the coup, so they kept the matter quiet. The trial ended in disappointment for those who were hoping to put an end to Hitler’s political career. They released Hitler from prison just after nine months of his five-year sentence. However, he was no longer allowed to make public speeches.
This did not stop him from using his extraordinary orating skills in private gatherings. His speeches gave his followers a vision of "a new Germany." The Nazi Party gradually transformed from a small Workers Party to the largest elected party in the country’s parliament. More
