Some call a sparrow
Black on the wing
Avoids the arrow

Hands up! Don't shoot!

Siren! Avian!
Tip-toe narrow
Some call a hero
Sin Titulo.

Sh--t, I said DON'T shoot!

Untitled, unnamed,
Country aflame --
Ferguson, Mad'son,
Thin Rebel Lane!

Hey, Atticus, walk,
Why even complain?

O, Afghan flack jack',
That brother all black,
We're on his team:
"I'll kill all y'all,
The whole lot of you!"

Hands up, shoot and shoot!
Hands up, shoot and shoot!

Here's one for you:
Got your vacation,
You turned the screw.
Now the whole nation

Hands up! Don't shoot!
Hands up! Salute!

     For I have "no name."
(Last Week Tonight) In the wake of the police fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, John Oliver explores the racial inequality in treatment by police as well as the increasing militarization of America’s local police forces

Police coming to a State near you (
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Protesters angered by the fatal shooting of [another] black 18-year-old by police faced off with officers in south St. Louis for a second night as accusations of racial profiling prompted calls for a federal investigation ahead of a weekend of planned rallies and civil disobedience.

Obama's hypocrisy (Adrian Kinloch/
[Now the police murdered Vonderrit D. Myers in cold blood and put out reports to justify or cloud the incident, which is never likely to be objectively investigated by police to determine responsibility and lodge charges against the killer, a police officer whose name has been withheld so as not to inconvenience or endanger the government-sponsored gunman.]
State and city leaders have urged the Justice Department to investigate the death of Vonderrit D. Myers in the Shaw neighborhood Wednesday night, fearing he was targeted because he was black.

Police say the white officer who killed Myers was returning fire, but Myers' parents say he was [holding a sandwich, which police have used as a pretext].

Hey, boy, keep moving or I'm gonna beat you with this badge! The untold history of racism in the U.S. Police as slave drivers, strong arm thugs, who oppress citizens (AP/

This is boring; let's provoke a riot and shoot.
"This here was racial profiling turned deadly," state Sen. Jamilah Nasheed, a St. Louis Democrat, said at a news conference Thursday. Myers' death comes two months after the August 9, 2014 fatal shooting [a.k.a. police murder] of Michael Brown, [another] black unarmed 18-year-old, by a white police officer in nearby Ferguson.
Brown's killing sparked dozens of often violent protests in the St. Louis suburb. A state grand jury is [stalling and still] deciding whether Officer Darren Wilson will face [murder] charges in his death.

(PBP) A "rubber" bullet is a deadly projectile that will knock a person unconscious due to immense forces only physics can explain. It is like being beaten with a baseball bat. Whether it is called a "beanbag" or "cannon," it will blind a person, cause severe disfigurement, and is very likely to cause severe trauma and death. By calling it "less than lethal," the public thinks it's a slap on the hand. Before we shoot them in the temple, like an Occupy Oakland U.S. war veteran, let's deafen and disorient them first.
But we can't do that. The demonstrators are unarmed. - Good, they won't shoot back (AP).
Late Thursday night following a quiet candlelight prayer vigil for Myers, hundreds of people joined a more rowdy gathering in Shaw to [provoke demonstrators and cause a riot after Myers'] death. Police in riot gear lined up on a high street, flanked by brand name stores and restaurants.
Hands up, don't shoot (LAPD kills Ezell Ford)
Protesters [angry over the killings and injustice of it all] yelled abuse and profanities to taunt the [heavily armed paramilitary] officers, who silently stood their ground [with hands on their military guns, artillery, Iraq War hardware, pepper spray, sniper rifles, plastic handcuffs, truncheons, automatic weapons, Humvees, armored vehicles, secret crowd control technology, and sidearms].

Jackbooted thugs of Fergistan, Oct. 9 (AP)
Police helicopters buzzed above the neighborhood [spying on the residents and aiming high powered rifles equipped with night vision scopes. [Unprovoked] Officers used pepper spray [in a minor acts of brutality they are not likely to be charged for] to force the crowd back [because blacks, it has been determined, are not really "citizens" and do not have a constitutional right to assemble, so long as police have called the assembly unpeaceful, or petition the government for a redress of grievances].
